About LA Boulders

LA Boulders is a popular climbing gym located in the art district of Los Angeles. It offers a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place for both beginners and experienced climbers. The gym features a spacious bouldering area with routes set using the V-system rating, suitable for all skill levels. Visitors often find the community to be friendly, with many praising the staff and members for their helpfulness and positive attitude. The facility includes a gym with free weights, a campus board, pull-up bars, and cardio machines, providing options beyond climbing. Many reviews highlight the good layout and atmosphere, though some note that the gym is smaller than other spots like Hollywood Boulders or Cliffs of Id. The place is appreciated for its ability to top out on many climbs, and the routes are often rated fairly, though they can vary in difficulty depending on the setter. The cost of a day pass is around $30, and gear like liquid chalk and climbing shoes are available for rent. While the parking lot is small and street parking can be limited, the overall experience at LA Boulders is highly positive, making it a favorite climbing spot for many in LA.

This 12,000 square foot warehouse houses the go-to Downtown area climbing club, so it's best to brush up on your Spiderman skills before tackling a V-level of your choice. It's also worth noting that the Touchstone outpost is a bouldering gym, a.k.a. no ropes or harnesses while you climb. Don?t worry: The foam-lined venue is as concerned with safety as it is fun, but you should definitely know how to climb and?eek?properly fall before you propel yourself 17 feet off the ground. Interested in more than just a single climbing sesh? You can also break a sweat working out on the mezzanine level in classes focused on core strength, arm strength, but strength, and four types of yoga. If climbing in the gym is just a stepping stone to getting outside, check out LAB's outdoor climbing clinics (with a free outdoor education and stewardship class thrown in).
