I love this place. The first time they fixed my lamp it was pretty pricey because they had to pretty much rebuild it, and they made it more sturdy. And that also meant that this more recent time I brought it in to fix it (my fault) it was SUPER CHEAP because it was their parts so they had replacements. He fixed it right on the spot out back. We had very nice, light conversation while he fixed it. I will always take my business here. I appreciate this place so much! Otherwise I would have had to replace my beautiful lamp instead of repairing it over time.

I tried to see if they could do a lamp project. They told me to stop by the shop or send pics. I sent pics they read no response. I followed up and they read it and didn't respond. Just kind of a bummer to see the messages red and no respond.

I brought in a mid-century lamp that needed a fix that other shops had not been able to do. Wendy fixed it on the spot, aged the new parts, and had it working perfectly- both electrically and mechanically. This was all during the time a few months ago when the shop was under some construction and not even open. I went around to the back found people in the workshop. Wendy stopped what she was doing, and in half an hour my lamp was fixed. I highly recommend this shop!

Awesome family business. I had some 60+ year old lamps they helped me with. Main thing was a capiz shell chandelier which was totally smashed and broken up and covered in grime. They thoroughly washed it, restrung new shells to replace numerous broken ones, and repainted the fake pearl beads. very delicate and fiddly work. It took them kind of a long time, so they did some other stuff for free for me, including rewiring a large ornate wall sconce and finding a replacement shade for a broken glass ceiling fixture, as well as suggesting adding a chain to make it a pendant which looks SOO much better. The price was extremely reasonable. No other shops had wanted to touch my chandelier repair either. You might need to be a little bit patient, but these are just lamps so I personally didn't really mind. Two thumbs up for Wendy & family.

I had such a great experience with this place! I brought in two lamps needing repair and he fixed one on the spot for a very reasonable fee. I wasn't expecting to go home with a fixed lamp right away and I was so happy. The other one was a little bit more complicated so I left it, got a call a few days later that it was ready. Also a very reasonable charge. The people who work here are very nice and they do very good work. I highly recommend them!

I have a Jonathan Adler lamp with an unusual shade which was looking the worse for wear after 10 years. This place made me a new lampshade and it looks so damn good I felt compelled to write a review. They offered several excellent choices for finishes and fabrics. It did cost me more than I expected ($200) but the craftsmanship and quality is impeccable. 2 week turnround.I highly recommend.

If you want your lamp repaired by the hands of a small business who will care for it as their own child, this place is worth the money. My lamp, best purchase of my life (remarkably $30 at a thrift store in Ventura), was destroyed when I tried to mail it from Chicago to Ventura County view UPS. The shade was crumbled (I was able to salvage the gold lace trim which made it so special), wiring was crushed, and the glass vase was chipped at the top by the metal neck. The lovely (and busy) woman who operates the repairs both heard me out and gave me some suggestions on size and fabric choice for the shade. They had a shade donated which worked well and used that as a frame for a bone colored textured cotton fabric, kept the same golden lace I salvaged, rewired the lamp and added new hardware to the on/off switch and plug. The base was glued to the neck and the crack was sealed to prevent further breakage, and the brass metal base and neck were polished to maintain a tarnished look. My only gripe is that she forgot our agreement of an additional green ribbon to add to the lace trim (can't even remember what it looked like or the requested placement), and she did not end up flipping the gold lace to the cleaner side as we agreed upon. However, she has her reasons, and we picked out a different green ribbon trim when we picked up and she added it on the spot. Now that I have it home under my framed tree stamped print, I am in love. My advice is to be flexible and let her use her artistic license to make your lamp exquisite, but speak up if you're not happy with something.

I’ve used this place a few times I’m a designer and could use them more but the owners attitude is lacking in all areas . This is another reason why retail is dying .... there are plenty of custom shade stores etc in this town I suggest you go somewhere else where they will pay clients with respect .This is not the place for even average service nor value .
