“AGC Liquor is hands down one of the best liquor stores around! They’ve got an awesome selection of spirits, wines, and beers for any occasion. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you pick out the perfect bottle. The layout makes it easy to find what you’re looking for, and the prices are great too. Whether you’re hunting for something rare or just grabbing your usual, this place won’t disappoint!!!”
“Best wine shop in LA. All of the selection and none of the snobbish attitude. Great group of women staff, always happy to help. The best! Just wish they were open later for late night runs, can’t have it all.”

“I just wanted to congratulate the winner that purchased that winning ticket from this store. Congratulations to you both and may god bless you since your dream have come true.
Spend it wisely and help out the poor if you can.
God bless”
“Loved this place! Great selection of wines, super knowledgeable staff, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a wine lover or just exploring, it’s the perfect spot to sip and unwind.”
“I am a long time regular patron of Jason's Wines & Spirits (now called Silver Lake Liquors). It's a very good place and a convenient location. But they currently have a terrible customer service problem. That woman who runs the place is just awful. She really makes it plain that she cannot stand most of the patrons who USED to frequent the store. (Business has really dropped off). Now it's to the point that I’m willing to take my business to Mikron’s or Big Mac”s rather than have to deal with that woman. Something needs to be done!!”
“Mohammad helped with everything when i can in to visit LA. Absolutely incredible customer experience ? if you are in the Hollywood area you should DEFINITELY stop by!!
Great selection and prices on everything ?”
“Blackbeard's Crafts beer store is a must-visit for any beer enthusiast! They have an incredible selection of craft beers, with a wide range of styles and breweries to choose from. The prices are very competitive, and the staff are super knowledgeable and helpful - they're always happy to offer recommendations and answer questions. Whether you're a seasoned beer geek or just starting to explore the world of craft beer, Blackbeard's is the perfect place to find something new and exciting. Highly recommend!”
“I stopped by this store after attending Smorgasburg LA. I won't lie, I was enticed by the free wine tasting sign outside. However once I walked in, it was a very nice store with so many different types of wine that I've never heard of. It was a very inviting store with great customer service. They were not pushy and were very open to explaining the different types of wine. For a dedicated wine store, the price was on par with what you would expect. This is definitely a store that I will be returning to. I want to expand my wine knowledge and tastes.”
“I was looking for a wine store around my office and I found this place. Went in the store and Bernard was such a wonderful person. He helped me and suggested a good wine for gift. Affordable and elegant wines. I bought 4 red wines. He even prepared it for me and walked me in the office to carry it all. I will definitely come back here to buy more wines/ spirits. I also recommend this store for everyone around DTLA to stop by there if they need anything. ?? Keep up the good work Bernard. You’re awesome! ??”
“This is a great gem inn our community. A great variety of liquors. Especially tequila and mezcal. The specialty and more rare liquors are behind the counter lining the entire back wall. You can always ask and get help. I always come out trying out something new.”
“Best convenience/liquor store in Los Angeles… hands down. Fantastic selection of red wines as well!! The temperature control of the fridges means that when I get my delivery, it’s at exact right state for my evening. I will continue to repurchase here because Nathan is a standup owner and I want to support my local small business as opposed to corporate owned stores. Thank you to the fantastic Terner team, 5 stars all around!”
“For a store with this many options I'm surprised just how well the staff knows the products. Always good recommendations, decent prices (a little more than some markets), unique drinks”
“Can't go wrong here. Excellent selection of hard-to-get cocktail fixings, cordials, and digestifs. Extensive selection of all liquor types. Good beer choices. I think you can get a keg here too. Prices are abt 3-4 dollars (at least) cheaper than regular stores.
What this place brings to the table is staff who know their product. Try to get that at the chain discount liquor stores”
“Great spot but kind of hidden! Happy hour all day with $3 draft Stella and $5 Craft beer. I was ordering from Mendocino Farms when I saw this place. You can bring outside food if you order a beer or order anything from the store. You can't beat the happy hour price in DTLA. The staff is super nice too! Happy Friday indeed. (The store is in the cal plaza, lower level, underneath the Omni hotel, next to Mendocino Farms)”
“This Market an amazing jewel of the community. The husband & wife/owners are always helping small vendors by directly carrying their products &/or by allowing them to do pop-up's outside the market. They carry locally crafted organic chorizo, longaniza, organic blue corn & flour tortillas, salsas & a bunch of other goodies. God bless these people for everything they do to make our community better”

“We have lived here since 1970. It's Oscar night so I commented that I needed to get back to the Oscars. He said that they were a joke . Always have had great people running Ambrose. Tonight I went in and commented that my ex husband loved soccer which was on the tv. The rude guy behind the counter said he must have liked really cheap wine. " like 3.99 a bottle huh ?!" obviously he was not a fan of Argentine people!!! I said he was being rude , and he suggested that I complain to Ryan ( I don't know if Ryan is the owner or mgr. ) WTF ! Now I will check to see if this jerk is working before I walk in the door.”
“What sweet and helpful staff. They are always nice and ready to help with what we need. This grocer has the basics you need for the neighborhood and an extended liquor selection for anyone. In addition to the basic grocery needs and wide liquor selection, there is an actual butcher! The shop is clean and there is ample easy parking. In the parking lot you can also find a recycle exchange to get your deposits back. I’m not sure what the recycle hours are but the grocer hours are nice and late. What a great asset to have in the neighborhood.”
“Hidden all the way in the back, this place has a huge wine selection plus assorted beers and liquors. Great place to find something new. Great staff and the pizza in the front is Great!”

“Super professional courteous and hospitable staff. They have so much stuff in here:
car repair equipment, laundry detergent, baseball caps, a wide and colorful variety of alcoholic drinks, etc..
The prices are literally standard. Nothing is a spectacular deal FYI.
What does suck is that there are a lot of homeless looking wino looking people congregating in the parking lot, and I literally saw one pee immediately to the south of the building.
There’s two liquor stores closer to my house, but I choose to go out of my way to come to this one because of the hospitality and the wide variety of products. I will recommend for sure and I will return most definitely”
“They went above and beyond to help me put together a beautiful gift box for my sister. I can’t thank them enough for their patience, kindness, and attention to detail. They have such a lovely selection of products!”

“Very helpful and knowledgeable staff as well as interesting and original selections. Was delighted to be shown the offerings from the Jura when I asked about the region”
“What an absolutely wonderful wine place to accidentally stumble upon while getting my morning coffee. James was the name of the gentleman who helped me and really took his time explaining the shop and it’s history and nearly all of the wines in stock one by one. I ended up, leaving with four separate bottles, all new to me, and I am very excited to try them. This place is approachable and well laid out and I will make sure that I visit anytime that I’m in the area. I highly recommend just popping in for a look and maybe a quick sip of wine.”
“A true neighborhood spot I. a can tell they know a lot of there customers super cool employees I noticed a lot of elders in to get there lotto it a safe comfortable space for them .”
“So grateful they were open late on thanksgiving, long story short my dog and I would have been SOL if not for this, and even though I came in basically at closing time they were cool with me basically grocery shopping here really quick. They have INSANE prices, everything I saw price tags on was just about a dollar. Very friendly staff as well”
“For a liquor store, they’re pretty great. This is my go to spot for Street Food Cinema nights because of their variety of canned beers and friendly staff. Definitely a diamond in the rough!”
“Employees are very friendly and will ask you if you need help. My cashier was kind and friendly even with my brain farts. I was able to find peppers which is surprisingly hard to find lately especially good ones. I bought some of the Jalapeño poppers and I swear they are the best thing ever so yummy and easy to cook. I also stocked up on some broccoli and burger buns. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised at how fairly inexpensive it was considering how expensive groceries are these days anywhere else. And the quality of the items are great. The store was also clean and organized which is always good.”
“This market/grocery store is improving and I am stopping here for more than beer and backwoods now. They carry different items including organic and dietary-restricted items which we love to see. Even a tiny produce section. With these improvements, I am shopping here more often but can still give the feel of shopping at the liquor store vs a market/grocery store because the produce or fresh item section is so small and has almost no variety that with Smart & Final and Ralph's at just about the same distance they usually get more of my business. Also, prices are significantly higher, which is something I understand in working with small independent businesses most of my life. However, 3 times the price of some items isn't something I can't do. At the end of July 2023, they did have a Sunday Farmers Market which was in a partnership with an existing farmers market. This shows me that they are trying to better meet the community's needs and not just their pockets. So I'll continue to support where and when I can.”
“Incredible selection of amaros and aperitifs from italy and france, super friendly staff, non-stuffy vibes where you can get really nice / hard to find drinks . love this place <3”
“Really hard to say anything bad about the place. I go in for lunch and grab a cheese or two about once a week since moving to the neighborhood. Can be a little crazy on weekends, but if you make it in during a weekday the staff have great suggestions.
Great bread and meats as well.”
