Maciel’s knocks it out of the park every time! Every time I have a deli sandwich craving, Maciel’s satisfies. It’s so nice to have a vegan butcher nearby for a great hot or cold sandwich. Current favorites are the Californian and the French Philly. You can’t go wrong here! Flavors, portions and quality are on point.Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Italian was meh. Needs more condiments - pretty dry. Oil & vinegar would have kicked it up a notch. The California though, absolutely DELISH! I’m going to dream about it. $50 for two sandwiches and a piece of cake is wild…

It’s the hidden gem of Highland Park. The food is savory and it’s such a delight to eat here. I def recommend their burritos and “egg” salad.

Best vegan sandwiches in Los Angeles. Plus they make delicious coffee, cookies and the gluten free bread doesn’t suck. It’s a rare feat to have all of these elements in one restaurant. I hope to be able to visit in person one day. But I can say they package their hot sandwiches flawlessly and they never arrive soggy or cold. I voted for Maciel’s in the vegan awards. LOVE it

This place is so good that I’m currently sitting in the corner crying softly over the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life- happy tears for how good it was, sad tears that it is now gone and there is no more room in my stomach to order another Flores sandwich. Yes I will be back to quietly cry over more delicious vegan sandwiches.

Super yummy. I've ordered The Flores (on GF bread) many times and it never disappoints. I love the potato salad and the chicharrones - which I order with the excellent queso (so decadent!). I have not made my way through their GF desert section yet, but have no fear, I will try them all.

Delicious! The grilled cheese was shockingly like the real thing and the gf bread was excellent. Will definitely be back to try more! More gf options would be awesome, but there are already some good ones to choose from. Wonderful, friendly service as well!

Aboslutely delicious. Their California and Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches are moist, flavorful, and filling. I can't wait to try more of their menu. Simple, clean seating area (wish there could replace the large planters with something a little narrower for more room to pass through). Friendly staff. Plan to go back many times.

This is in my part of the world. Stopped by after dropping off a friend at their house. Had the Rubin Sandwich and really loved it. Bought a package of the Ribs and had mixed feelings about it. Also bought one if their chocolate desserts (jar). Not inexpensive but vegan food tends to be pricier and since this is a stand-alone business, even more so. Will stop by again in the future and try another sandwich.

I really enjoyed the Philly cheese steak and it's hard to believe it was vegan. I'm not vegan, but this place imitates meat very well which makes it easy to come with your vegetarian and vegan friends. The place is adorable, resembling a cafe and butcher/deli combined. The parking is limited in a small parking lot but it shouldn't be difficult to find parking in the street. The place was quite a bit smoky which made my skin and clothes smell but it wasn't too bad, especially with the reassurance that the food is being made fresh from scratch. The team member taking our order was friendly. I heard that the owner is Mexican which is cool to see how some of the sandwich recipes were influenced.

Been back here a few times since my first visit. Seem to migrate towards the Tuna Melt and the Reuben. Definitely not a meat based tuna melt nor Reuben contender by comparison, but for those looking for plant based sandwiches alternatives, this place is for you. Also highly recommend eating the hot sandwiches like these on site to get that crisp on the bread that makes melts so great. Unfortunately, they don't travel well as the heat and moisture inside an aluminum foil wrap turns the bread soggy and lifeless. But if you ok with that, you will enjoy! Very happy have this place in our LA culinary corner.

This place is glorious. Best vegan breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I'm always craving the Californian- they have really figured out vegan bacon. My only complaint is that I wish they were more concerned with waste. There are single use cups at the water station and a lot of the to-go items are packaged in plastic containers.
