Midas is my favorite place to get an oil change. They make things so simple and quick. Thank you for the amazing service Fernando. You guys are awesome. :) They even go above and beyond to check the fluids in my car and refilled them with no extra cost. Highly recommend this shop!!

This place is very odd for lack of better words. My dad took my car into this establishment because it had a check engine light. They told him it needed an oil change, I thought this was odd because I had just gotten an oil change less than two months ago and I haven’t driven my car a lot. I called the establishment and told them I didn’t want an oil change because they were quoting 2x the price my usual Midas charged me for an oil change. They told me they would give me a discount because they had already started draining the oil, I was okay with this. I was okay with this because I thought my dad had approved for the oil to be changed. I spoke to my dad about this and he advised that he never told them to change the oil, he said that they recommended this to him but he declined. Once I spoke to the technician about this, they advised that they would wave the fee for the oil change since it was never approved by me or my dad.About an hour later I get a call from a technician, I believe he called me from his personal phone as the number was different than the one I called to make an appointment. The technician told me I needed a tune up, he quoted me about $800. The weird part is that the technician told me he could do the job on the side for $650, I declined. I felt like it was unprofessional for him to tell me he could do the same job for cheaper while working for Midas. This left a bad taste in my mouth, but I proceeded to get the tune up. The price they charged me for the parts was higher than the prices Toyota had listed on their website. I asked them where they bought the parts from and the technician couldn’t answer me. I thought this was odd because my usual mechanic tells me where they sourced the parts. When I picked up my car, I noticed that it didn’t list an oil change as one of the services they did. This is the worst part, on the phone they told me they changed the oil but they didn’t document this. My car requires a full synthetic blend, so I was worried that they drained it and added an oil blend back into the car. My boyfriend called to ask about the oil and the manager couldn’t answer any questions. He advised that the technician had left for the day. I went to Midas because it is a chain, I was advised by a different Midas location, that they keep everything on record so that your warranty’s apply at any location. If my oil was changed by mistake or not there should be a record of it! The check engine light is gone but now I’m worried about my oil and whether or not they actually changed it, if they did what kind of oil did they put in? On the car inspection paperwork they listed that my car oil was leaking but I have never seen it leak.Last thing, they suggested I get my transmission fluid replaced, I got that done a month ago at a Midas location. I would get a second opinion if they recommend something.

Good Morning Midas,Spent 1,200 dollars on new breaks and new rotars. We have been using Midas since we moved to LA, this morning the breaks starting grinding, it’s only been 2 years, we rarely use the car, the guy with one arm was outrageously unprofessional, refused to provide any assistance and tried making us drop another $1,200 for new rotars and breaks plus “suspension” work which this location did before.“Bro I am a mechanic”That was his response….. We are Midas members and will be immediately ending our card and membership. We also had them fix a tire before and it failed as well within a few days, went to Pep Boys to buy a new tire. The old manager or not sure if he knows this, was wonderful and I don’t know what happened to the Midas touch of customer service, but this location was awful and the armless gentleman should be removed asap.Awful experience

Volunteered to break to lug nut lock on my tires to plug my tire ... No did a horrible job on my oil change took way to long . I do not recommend using this company ever go back to dealership! This location is in the perfect spot but for another business they should be closed . You need at least 5 to 6 people with this many cars in the bay. U cannot get any work done with 3 people one whom is missing an arm ! Bad for business

Latest update at bottom: Been going here for about 3 years. No complaints. Came here for the occasional oil change and tire purchase. This past week has been a nightmare experience. Came in for a check engine light for reduced power to engine and an oil change. My car has 140k miles so I understand the random check engine lights here and there. There were no other issues physically happening with the vehicle other than the check engine light. It ran “smooth” they charge $500+ for labor and parts to replace an oil pressure valve. I get the car after a couple days, on the drive back home as I’m parking the car, the engine dies. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED. I’ve had the car to close to ten years and it has never died. I bring it back, they check it out and say there’s nothing they can do outside of purchasing a new engine for around $4k-7k….I’m in disbelief because my car came out worse than I brought it in. They worked on it for a few days and couldn’t resolve an issue that happened immediately after leaving their shop. It’s as if you go in for stitches on your arm at the doc, your arm stops working and they go to amputating the whole arm…it’s ridiculous. Will not be coming back.11/20/2023Took the car to the dealership. They fixed the issue for 1/5th of what they quoted and no need for an engine replacement. Midas on Figueroa street…. If you don’t know how to do something and messed up just be honest with the customer and suggest they go to an expert.Shame on you…the guy I talked on the phone said “I worked at (dealership) and they’re going to tell you the same thing.” Glad I didn’t listen…
