My neighborhood store however I won't be back. The store has a nice ambiance with nice selections but the quality of the fruits and vegetables are ridiculously poor. Why are you selling veggies and fruits that are bad and rotten. Now the organic section is a joke. I had to throw out my carrots celery because it's old and outdated. It's nice they have competitive pricing but now I see why. No fresh veggies and fruits. I prefer to pay more if that means fresh. However, they do have nice spices but I'm now questioning everything if their fruits and veggies are old. Idk, fresh veggies and fruits are important to me. If not reduce the price and make that clear or throw them out. No one wants old red onions. Good luck because I know groceries are expensive so most people will go here and buy the old fruits because of them being a little cheaper.

I agree with Mr. Kelsey J.'s review. I was in front of the store at 9:55 pm but they already closed.

I've been coming here for years, I spend about 80-120 per week on avg. It's my neighborhood store, I like the neighborhood feel and I'd rather shop at at a small localized business than a chain like Ralph's or Vons. However tonight I saw something that may've changed my mind. I got there tonight at 9:56pm along with another fellow, who got there right before me. The door was locked and this guy was trying to communicate to whoever the employee was who seemed to be in control of that. She wouldn't acknowledge that he was trying to say he had a few more minutes since the store was open till 10. As he persisted she just smugly smiled at him while mouthing the words "we're closed". As she had to let people out, ignoring him and his request to speak to a supervisor and refusing to give him any sort of explanation as to why they had to lock the doors early, she just continued in her same smug condescending way, which I thought was very disrespectful to him and me since I was standing right there as well. Now I've worked in the service industry before, I know how annoying it can be when customers show up right before closing time. But that's not how you handle it. Partly this comes with the territory, you try to communicate you're closing and try and hurry people through with reminders, you ask them what they need to get, or even ask them before letting them in. In this gentleman's case it was just a couple things (I know cause I saw him at Ralph's right after). Or you can post a notice saying something like:"due to staffing/payroll we need to lock the doors at 9:45pm to ensure our staff is out as close to 10pm as possible". Or you can send staff home early and keep just a few necessary people around to wrap things up. Or you can just explain to the late arriving customers what the situation is. What you should never do is condescendingly ignore or patronize the customers. I was thinking about letting this go but after reading some other similar reviews I think I'll be calling the GM tomorrow and based on the response I get I'll decide whether I continue to give them business.

I've been coming here for years! It's nice and clean inside (since the remodeling) and although you can't find all of the items you can at the bigger chains, the selection is still pretty decent. The staff is really friendly, too. It feels like they are one big happy family. Quite a contrast from Ralphs down the street. One thing that always bugs me about this place, though, is how they remodeled the checkout counters. The shopping carts don't fit through them so you're forced to unload your groceries at the start of the checkout line, then push your empty cart to the side when you're done. It can get a little hectic when there are people waiting behind you. Seems like a design flaw during remodeling. Or maybe it was so people wouldn't steal the carts?

This market is close to me, i love this place.. it's not Traders or Ralph's but it has a family vibe to it..cashiers are always friendly and cheerful. Some things are way overpriced but then some stuff is really cheap. They always have latin foods.. they also have a few middle eastern things, asian too. I like the sweet lady that sells her wares right by the parking lot. I hope this community values this market.

A neighborhood store so things are marked up. I gave it 5 stars because the staff seem chill and it helps the community to shop here. I will say that the processed and non processed foods are all overpriced here. The Michelina is usually sold at retailers for $10/10 = $1 each. Here it is $2.19 on "sale" to $1.59. The only things I would buy here are specialty items like the Eastern European foods such as Ikra and the Beet Salad with Walnuts which I got or speciality Hispanic food items.

Some of the worst customer service I've ever had. It seems also they only hire within their own and they're only nice to them. I had a woman complain about me getting cash back. And it's not the first time it happened either. Last time she gave me some old $50 bill which I had politely asked them to swap out and she gave me such a hard time. As a cashier I get it but guess what, ITS NOT YOUR CASH CALM THE HELL DOWN.

The store manager, wonderful guy I forgot you name and I feel so bad. I'm sorry. I was looking for some special ingredients and they are the only place that carries! The manager took me to the spot where the items were, now that was awesome customer service, IMO. People have forgotten and lost the meaning of customer service. Trust me, you'll find it here. Karla the cashier, was so very nice. I love people that smile. I wrote done both names on my Yelp draft, some times it goes poof. It happens sometimes, I know it's me and not the app. Thank you all at Jon's Marketplace. You both made my day by being so kind. Peace, Jules

I mainly come here to buy pita bread. Sometimes i buy fruits and veggies too. Everyone at the store acts so friendly and helpful except the one employee who work at produce. He is hostile toward people who are not latinos but nice to Spanish speakers especially women.

It's a good neighborhood grocery store. It has a decent selection of products and the fruits and veggies are good and not too expensive. The staff is nice. It's slightly more expensive than Ralph's or Trader's Joe but that's often the case in smaller supermarkets as they can't buy as much from wholeseller as the bigger ones.
