I want to give a shout-out to Rebecca Watson and her amazing 2.0 flow class. Rebecca is a fantastic teacher, she cues beautifully, and her class is dynamic and fun. I've been able to go deeper into my practice by exploring asana I've been hesitant to try on my own. I would describe this class as challenging play. Thankful to Rebecca and ODD for providing a safe container to grow and play!

Thank you ODD! The app is easy to you, and so many classes during a stay at home time has been awesome. The community support is well needed. The instructions are positive and give us a sense of being together. The family feel is warm and gives a place to be every singe day! You can order from there store to help you at home.

This is my favorite yoga studio in echo park. It has such a calming energy. it's a smaller studio per se, but the class is big enough to feel spacey and the plants make a big difference!

Came 5 minutes late and they wouldn't let me in, horrible traffic on the 101 and didn't care. Horrible customer service.

I signed up via Classpass because I liked the name and the idea of a class called "In person Chill." Honestly, I've always been iffy about Yoga due to a not so great experience. However, my experience at this studio with Angela was very different. The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly as well. This was the best yoga class I've ever been to. Every movement was intentional and guided well. The cues were great and understandable for this yoga noob. There was a lot of hip opening and for someone with chronic back pain, I appreciated all of the spinal movements and stretches. Angela provided great corrections and her voice was gentle and helped me to really fully concentrate on being present. I'm sitting here writing this review over an hour after class with my body still relaxed, almost as if I had gotten a massage. I will definitely be back.

I've been going to One Down Dog for almost 7 years. I feel so incredibly comfortable there. From day one this has been such an inviting and community driven studio. When they opened up the Echo Park location a couple years ago, it felt even more satisfying to practice yoga in such a beautiful space. The studio itself is full of personality but in a chill way. The front desk staff is always so sweet and I love being a regular. ODD Fam forever!

I love this studio! The vibe is so soothing and airy. I love that there’s so many instructors and times, and all the instructors are great. There’s also loads of street parking in my experience.

This studio offers a huge variety of classes and I'm so glad I found them because there aren't a ton of non-heated options around here. All the teachers I've encountered so far are magnificent and respond so well to the vibe of each class and each individual. Happy to be a part of the One Down Dog community!

I went to a late evening yoga flow session at one down dog last night. My instructor Bobby, had great energy, her session was different than most I've attended, she really added her own style to it. She even allowed us to explore our own bodies in between different asanas, and helped us put our needs first in the practice. I pulled something in my back towards the end of the session, and she even gave me personal attention, and showed me the steps I could take to relax those muscles The music was really upbeat and motivating too. I would highly recommend taking her class!!

I had been practicing for a few months on my own and was searching for a place where I could grow and learn a bit more with the help of a live instructor. I stumbled on ODD's April '21 Challenge and thought it was the perfect opportunity to give them a try. I was, of course, a bit nervous to join my first studio but after my first class that all went away. I immediately felt really welcomed and have truly been enjoying my practice, even on days when I really don't want to show up. I've loved the variety of instructors, their playlists, and their style of practice. I can't wait to join a class in the physical location soon and I really hope they're able to keep online classes forever!

I've been attending One Down Dog since the beforetimes, but they have been such a lifesaver during the pandemic especially. They have zoom classes online all day every day, and the breadth of class styles means that there's something to meet my needs no matter how I'm feeling. I love the instructors (shout out to Audrey ) and have stayed both physically fit and mentally sane over the past year in no small part thanks to them. I also appreciate their social justice orientation and all the workshops, affinity classes, and fundraisers they do for our communities. Their physical locations are beautiful too and their shops have great gifts and goodies. Highly recommend if you're looking for your yoga home.

I've included part of my Yelp review from 2014 below. What I can add to it, now that I've been a member since they opened in 2013, is that I've never thought of not being a member. Even when the pandemic hit in March, 2020, they were online doing Zoom classes within a hot minute, and have since added additional yoga and fitness-type, classes, extended the schedule, and brought in new teachers and activities (themed yoga classes, story-telling sessions, a book club). One Down Dog is all about building community, and they've kept it going strong, in spite of not being able to come together in person at the three beautiful studios for nearly a year now. From my Yelp review, 2014: ...So, the way they inspire me to practice yoga makes it a "whole person" workout: I leave each class feeling mentally, physically, and yes, spiritually uplifted and strengthened. I push myself to my own personal limits, and feel completely respected, and know that everyone else in class is doing and feeling the same. All the instructors I've practiced with have made me feel comfortable and have made a point to check in with any newbies, ask about injuries and preferences, and offer props and additional guidance as needed. This studio aims to be part of the Silver Lake community and to build community, and they are doing it right, every day. There is a wide array of classes, slow to fast, restorative to aerobic, something to suit every need, and varied teacher personalities and styles as well: you seriously can't go wrong! Also, the people at the front counter are unfailingly smiling, positive, and provide great customer service, whether you're asking about their classes, gear, nearby restaurants, or how to deal with your latest shoulder twinge. Jessica Rosen, the owner, is a gem. She totally gets customer service and what it is to BE of service. As a person who had absolutely refused to pay for any type of gym/exercise plan for my entire adult life and who now willingly lets Jessica and her team tap into my credit card each month for these great classes, I wholeheartedly recommend One Down Dog. (See you on the mat!)
