Even though there's been times where I've gone there to make a purchase and their system was down and they couldn't sell anything or other times where the store was not open during hours of operation, I have had excellent customer service Experiences every time. The most recent was yesterday when I visited the store to purchase additional paint and Ryan was so patient and doing a color match for me and then another canned that I needed it which they didn't have in stock for him to locate at another location and tell me that he could actually drop it off first thing tomorrow morning on his way to work as I am two blocks away from the store customer service at its finest! Thank you Ryan for all that you do”

“This place is so convenient but it costs more due to the location. That's life. The people complaining about price I'm assuming have never run a business. The owners have to pass on the high real estate rental price they pay if they want to make any profit. It's just a little more expensive but you can get a basic item quickly. If I need a small part to fix my toilet, I'll pay the extra couple bucks so I don't have to schlep out to Home Depot and park and go through 20 aisles. I just pull up to the store, run in, get the part, get back in my car and drive the 5 minutes or so home. They have quite a lot of basic stuff you need to do simple repairs. Call ahead and make sure it's in stock if course. So worth the saved time, gas money, etc. Nice people who help.”

“I was in a serious pinch, flat tire in a rental car without a spare and Hertz wanted to charge me for the tow AND a new tire if they were to help My regular roadside assistance could tow me to a tire shop for free, but any place would have been closed an hour before they'd even get to me Target was out of plug kits and 7th & Union was the only place for miles that might have what I needed I called, they had a plug kit, but I was 10 blocks away and they were closing in 12 minutes They said they'd already counted the register and were shutting down. I told them I would jog. They said they'd wait. But got there with 4 minutes to spare and they tossed me a free water for my troubles. Their compassion saved me a couple hundred bucks and/or 3-4 hours of headaches THANKS!”

“I wanted to convert HI TEMP auto engine paint from cans to aerosol. This is one of the only shops in town that still does this. The auto paint department is separate from the other divisions that deal with house and flooring although they are at the same location on S. Vermont Avenue. Their prices are very reasonable and they did it for me while I waited. Alfonso Vasquez helped me and really know his stuff. Terrific professional service and friendly.”

“I just had the best experience at this store thanks to Edward.I wanted to paint my entire apartment for the first time, but had no idea what was the best store to buy paints. I was trying to choose between Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes, when a friend of mine recommended Dunn Edwards and I'm so glad he did because I couldn't be any happier with the color and sheens I selected. My apartment looks amazing!But none of it would have been possible without the help of Edward, the first person to greet me when I entered the store. Edward was totally kind, friendly, funny and took his time to help me decide on my colors, sheens and quality of paint.I needed to go into the store 3 times so I could pick up various color samples to tape to my cabinets and walls so I could ensure I chose all the right colors before actually buying my paints. And each time I went, Edward was equally kind, friendly and helpful. My entire experience at the store was always fun and relaxing thanks to Edward.And now after two weeks of sanding, prepping and painting, seeing my new bright, shiny kitchen cabinets and all my walls freshly painted, I couldn't be any happier with the quality of paint and the colors and sheens.I totally recommend Dunn Edwards quality paint and this West L.A. store in particular. “Didn't expect to have such a great experience at a paint store, or any experience really. Buy paint and leave was my goal. Apparently that's hard to do when you have no paint knowledge. Brisa to the rescue! She was so helpful! She walked me through each sheen, different grades of paint for different rooms, and waited patiently while I called my painter. I left with confidence, which is a great feeling after being frazzled by colors and costs. I returned days later for more of the same wall color and stupidly brought my Home Depot color match sample and not the Dunn Edwards formula I was actively using. Despite being busy, Brisa and crew found my formula in the computer and got me exactly what I needed! Thanks, y'all! Also, don't sleep on the sick merch. My whole household is repping Dunn Edwards.”

“My in-store experience at this Sherwin-Willams has been fantastic - we were there 4 times in the last month either looking for colors, getting samples or picking up the paint we decided to go with. Originally, when we purchased our home a few years ago, our contractor had us to go Dunn Edwards for our paint, the service was never great - I prefer to support a business that actually cares about their customer satisfaction and I felt at home when I visited this location of Sherwin-Williams. We had heard good things about the paint from Sherwin-Williams, they have great quality and wonderful colors. We happened to notice they were having a presidents day sale which was fantastic - 40% off, it was a no brainer. But at the end of the day, for someone like me, I care more about how I'm treated in store then the cost of the product itself. We were lucky enough to meet Spencer who obviously knew a lot of paint, not just as a sales person but as someone who painted for a living. His recommendations were highly appreciated and I hope they know how lucky they are to have such a great team running this location. For any future painting needs, it will always be this brand for us. Thank you for helping to make a tough experience (choosing the right color) so much easier on us. Anything to do with home renovation is so stressful, it's nice we found a place that made one checklist item so much easier on us.”

“This is an amazing neighborhood hardware store! I take care of a relatives house that is just a few blocks away and built just a few years after Emil's went into business. There has not been anything that I needed for a repair project that I could not find at Emil's. This includes parts for plumbing, electrical, or hardware such as hinges and door knobs. Thet have a wide variety of drill bits, hand tools, saw blades and more. The prices are slightly higher than the large box stores, but the convenience and gas savings is well worth going to Emil's.”

“Everything they say is true. We walked in totally clueless about auto paint and what we were doing. We just knew we needed to paint 100 scooters and the color we wanted to paint them. as luck would have it, Lilliana was the one to help us, and she was beyond incredible. She helped us find the exact color, explained the different paints, different finishes, clear coats, spray guns... she even found us a person to come teach us how to spray the parts correctly. I mean, come on! This is like fifty star service and then some! If you're even thinking about painting something, just come here. The prices are beyond reasonable, they treat you like family and you really won't be sorry. Plus... they have the BEST car washing stuff. I mean, diamonds in the sky finishing polish... if you want your car looking better than the Ferrari on the showroom floor, come buy a bottle of whatever Lilliana tells you to buy. This place is like heaven.”
