This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price. All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!

Super unique japanese-italian fusion place in Little Tokyo! Parking was easy as there was a parking lot that was free (maybe on weekends only)! The wait wasnt too bad. Waited no more than 20 minutes for a party of 5. Very surprising considering how small this place is.The bacon and mushroom pasta was great! Hoever i do think that the bacon could be a little more crispy to add flavor and texture. You also get a free salad and bread. Our server Vincent was awesome!

Amazing pasta and great service. The sauces are very flavorful, and the bread and salad are also delicious! The location is conveniently located within walking distance of the Little Tokyo and Arts districts.

Pasta e Pasta by Allegro offers a delightful atmosphere with excellent service. The waitress was notably helpful. The menu features a good variety, and our choices, the carbonara pasta and Mentai Japanese cream, were flavorful, creamy, and rich. The dishes were of high quality with generous portion sizes. I highly recommend this place.

The best uni pasta in town!!! I can’t believe I did not try this gem while visiting Shushi Gen only in this mall. Food is great and the service is fabulous. We will definitely be the regulars here. Highly recommend!

Ordered the Bacon and mushrooms Japanese style sauce. The meal started with a light salad while I waited for my order. The pasta had a very nice presentation. The noodles were al dente, still somewhat firm to chew on; they absorbed the flavor of the dashi. The shredded seaweed and grated radish were pleasant to mix into the dish too, here again the radish absorbed some of the dashi and bacon fat. The bacon was tender and a good portion of pieces. The mushroom was chewy and aromatic. The general ambiance is very quaint and more Japanese with Italian influences. Fairly quiet though wait times may climb later into the dinner rush.Parking: Parking is tight and may fill up quick within the small plaza. Consider backup options for parking too within the area such as street and nearby garages.

This place is incredible. Definitely get there right at openning to sign into the waitlist because the line grows fast. Which is understandable because every one of their pastas taste so good. The ragu pasta was our

Pasta e Pasta can get long wait times so use the Yelp app to join the waitlist early. The servers are also really busy with customers so it’s hard to get their attention or their time. Our meal was started with some small salads and bread. The bread is soft and fluffy. The salad felt lame and too sour for my taste.Moving onto the pasta, the Puttanesca was just good, like a tomato sauce pasta with canned fish. Thus, it’s one of the cheapest dishes at the restaurant. The anchovies give a strong fishy taste, but it’s not gross. The uni pasta was discounted at $21 because they ran out of sea urchin to top the dish. Still, it was rich and creamy, though it was missing a bit of texture without the uni.

My wife and I came to this restaurant today (01/14/2024) because a friend told me about the ambiance and the food. The food was good, but unfortunately, the customer service is as poor as the server’s manners (be aware of the pink short hair lady, Mirai). We waited for almost 1 hour for our food to arrived (only 2 plates of pasta) and we were one of the first customers of the restaurant at 5:00pm, so be prepared to wait for your food. When they finally brought the bread, it was cold and hard as a rock, that’s why we asked if we could have the other type of bread (ciabatta) because everyone else was having ciabatta but Mirai told us “We don’t have more” and left. After being waiting for 50 minutes we asked another server, Vincent, about our food status and he apologized for the situation and for Mirai passive-aggressive behavior. Thanks to Vincent we got our food in less than 5 minutes. My wife asked the server Mirai to speak with the manager about the situation and she bluntly said “there’s no manager”, turned around, and left. I really hope the manager read this review and share our experience with Mirai, hopefully, she will change her attitude or find a job that makes her happy.Parking: The parking is located on-site.
