Been there multiple times. Love their marble cake, though most pastries are too sweet in my opinion. Service needs some adjustment.

Very good place to have breakfast. Variety of breads and pastries. Very rich hot chocolate. It is somewhat expensive, but the quality is good. Recommended.

I stumbled on Pitchoun serendipitously and loved it. The “French-inspired” breakfast items were a hit with the family.

Other Information
About the restaurant: Pitchoun! in downtown Los Angeles is an authentic French bakery and pastry shop, as well as a spot to enjoy a light bite for lunch or pick up a bottle of wine.Food: Regional French pastries, such as the Breton cake kouign-amann, are a specialty and are made with 100% French butter. The loaves and baquettes are crafted with a natural sourdough starter, which the bakery asserts makes for healthier and tastier bread. Also available are various breakfast options (eggs Benedict, etc.), cold and hot sandwiches, salads, tartines, crêpes and more. Enjoy tapas and shareable boards of cheese and charcuterie during happy hour. For special occasions, consider ordering a layered cake or croquembouche (a tower of profiteroles).
