I think this is a great place to do a one and done type of meal. We're not completely familiar with Ethiopian cuisine so take it with a grain of salt. The sharing aspect of the meal is nice, it's a different way to socialize with a bit of alcohol. The emperor platter is a like a mix of a variety of flavors. The meat with sauce was probably our favorite as it had the most flavor. The pico de gallo wasn't any thing out of the ordinary, and the veggies tasted mostly unseasoned. I think the price is steep for what we're getting, and this being the little Ethiopia there may be other choices to try out. We were the only ones there around 630pm on a weekday, so we got our food relatively fast. We also felt like the emperor was being upsold to us, and the info about the food was kind of lost. So give it a try if you want a small group, this plate fed 3 of us with extra to go

Their veggie platter is better than Merkato if you ask me.

This was my first Ethiopian food experience and it was solid! My boyfriend and I ordered The Emperor to share. We were the first one in for lunch and the food did take some time to come out but it was all hot and nicely prepared. I enjoyed how the food was presented and they had plenty of injera to get you full. The injera's slight sourness was not off putting at all and it balanced nicely with the flavors of the platter. My favorite was actually the veggie dishes. If I'm ever back, I probably would just order the vegan platter. The meat dishes were well seasoned, although one was on the drier end and I'm terrible with any sort of spice (but they are pretty mild). I stuck to my veggies while the boyfriend enjoyed the meat so there's something for everyone! Cozy interior with bathrooms available if you need. I appreciate that they had hand sanitizer on every table too. All street parking but we got here early enough to grab a spot only a few hundred feet away from the restaurant. $1/hour for the meters out front, with card and coins accepted.

I haven't visited Ethiopia yet but this place felt very authentic, from the dish presentation to eating style to decor to the bill. The woman servicing our table was lovely. The food was delicious - I had some of the Vegan platter and the misir wat side. The misir wat was listed as a side but is definitely a solid meal in and of itself. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo but it came with lots injera. The spices were great and we all had to eat without utensils. The one inconvenience was that only one bill was allowed for the table so that's something to plan ahead for if dining as a large group.

Came by around 8pm on a Sunday evening. It was not busy at all, plus parking the metered parking was free since it was past 8pm! Got sat right away and the lady suggested for us to get the emperor. Was most definitely just the right amount of food for 4-5 people. Everything was super yummy and flavorful. It was my first time having Ethiopian food and will be back for sureee! It was just my group eating inside and pretty quiet but overall a good place with good food!

I regret having not taken any pictures of the food because it was so flat out beautiful. It's hard to overstate how unbelievably wonderful food this place is. We had the fish tibs and the vegan combo. It was just insanely good. The restaurant itself is not the trendiest decor, but forget that, the food is just mind blowing.

I brought my father here who is from Puerto Rico and has never had Ethiopian food. He absolutely loved it! The restaurant is so cute and the service was good. This is the best Ethiopian in LA.

The food was very good. I would like to go back and try more dishes. We loved the nice sour, springy injera. The service was good, but we were there for a late lunch and the place was nearly empty. The ambiance was hard to judge again because it was so quiet. I think if you were there for dinner and it had a lively crowd that would be really fun. I will recommend Rosalind's to my friends in LA.

If we can give ten stars, we would! Best Ethiopian food around. Great service, delicious food, incredible ambiance, and the owner is so sweet and friendly. We recommend a combination of gomen siga and veggie combo for two people. Every time we come, we always leave with the happiest faces!!!

Love this place so much. Much love and care is put into their food and it's evident. The service can be limited but the charm and authenticity is well worth any wait.

I give them 3 stars only because their prices are lower online than they actually are. A lot of restaurants do not update their Google pages enough. The food however is delicious and the woman that greets you inside is always kind.
