“Well, I like the school because of how attentive and friendly the teachers are to the students. I don't speak English so they try to talk to me in Spanish.⊂(◉‿◉)つ”

“Building Blocks Christian Academy has been a gift to our family. Our daughter started at age 3 speaking very little English and made remarkable progress within a year. She literally jumps into school every morning, which says everything about how safe and loved she feels. The teachers are incredibly kind and attentive to details; they even thoughtfully labeled her painting with the date and a little note! The pedagogy is playful, creative, and balanced—language, social-emotional learning, arts, outdoor play, and curiosity-driven projects. Communication with parents is clear and caring. We’re so grateful for BBCA and recommend it wholeheartedly.”

“Crestwood is SPECIAL! In a city full of pre schools, most of which are great, non stood out to us like Crestwood. Our now 9-year-old daughter started there just before Covid. Her experience was not typical because of the pandemic but the teachers and director took the initiative to make it work and work well. The school went digital for just a few weeks and then had a plan to bring everyone back. Most of Crestwood is outdoors, which was such a advantage to us while all of this was happening (and really at all other times).
Kids and teachers went back with masks, and it was like any other time at Crestwood, just amazing! The kids didn’t mind the masks, and it was just the new norm for the next year+.
Crestwood is a Co-op where parents volunteer once a month and I have to admit was not sure I would be able to do at first but by the time our daughter graduated I could get enough, so much that I was concerned at her next school I would not be allowed to volunteer as much as I wanted to, which turned out to not be the case…
Once we had our son (who is there now), we had our daughter enrolled at her current school in the complete opposite direction, but knew we wanted him to have the same experience she did at Crestwood. Convince was never part of our consideration, it just had to be Crestwood!
He loves it there as much as our daughter did and now we are back at what we feel is our second home and our community.
The teachers and director are truly the best of the best at their careers, and they love these children as if they are their own.
Any opportunity that our 9 year old has to go back to Crestwood when she is off of school she jumps at, and still can’t get enough.
I truly believe there is no better pre-school, and no better teachers or school director anywhere on earth. It’s just amazing!”

“I can't say enough about this lovely little school- our son loved it, we loved it. The social/emotional child led play based structure was exactly what our child needed after being inside for a year because of the pandemic. Gilbert and Wendy care enormously for the children, as do the other parents. It is extremely bittersweet to be moving on....If you haven't found your village yet, look no further!”

“I was on vacation in California and took my six year old daughter here for a day. She had so much fun exploring, inventing and playing with the other kids.

When we woke up the next day, the first thing my daughter said was, “I want to go back to Imaginology.”

We had plans to go to Huntington Gardens, but instead we took her back to Imaginology and dropped her off.

The adults had a nice day at the gardens and when we went to pick up my daughter from Imaginology she didn’t want to leave.

My daughter is usually very shy and anxious around new places and people. The fact that she wanted to go back the next day and was okay with being left there without me speaks volumes.

The staff is very friendly and professional.

The philosophy and activities at Imaginology changed my life and perspective on parenting/childhood development for the better.

I would for sure 10/10 recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun day with their kid.

I would also for sure 10/10 recommend this place to anyone looking to learn more about the power of imagination and play. These are such an important concepts to understand in our modern high tech cookie cutter society.

If we had one of these in Michigan, we would visit it at least every month.”

“We absolutely love Just Like Moms Preschool!
Our child has been attending this daycare for several months now, and we couldn’t be happier. The teachers are incredibly warm, attentive, and truly care about each child. You can feel that they love what they do — and the kids feel it too.

The environment is clean, safe, and full of fun activities that help the children learn, grow, and explore at their own pace. Every day our son comes home happy, singing songs and talking about his friends and what he learned.

It really feels like a second home. As parents, we feel confident and at peace knowing that he is in such good hands. We are so grateful to have found Just Like Moms!

Highly recommend to any family looking for a caring, joyful, and well-organized preschool.”

“Weekday Preschool is one of kind! Our son and daughter are always so excited to attend school. Both of our children loved their teachers.

Our son attended the Orange door with Mrs. Rachna and Mrs. Melissa. The teachers nurtured his interests, cared about his development, and engaged him in learning through play. Both his teachers are great at what they do.

Our daughter attended the Hand and Hand program with Mrs. Erin. Her teacher taught the students how to follow a routine that in my opinion gets them ready for preschool. They played yet also learned to sit through circle time, and do little art projects. Our little one learned so much this past school year.”

“I had a Middle Pillar crystal healing with Naha of 22 Teachings yesterday and it was transformative to say the least. I am going through really big life changes and was carrying a lot of self-proposed expectations of myself. The healing with her was exactly what I needed. I felt like I was in extremely professional hands the entire time. I was able to relax, sync in, and experience the transformation and healing happening in real time. I left feeling truly free, so much lighter, and I still am seeing shifts taking place within me the next day. Thank you Naha for this!”

“Giselle at RLC 2 is a true gem! She is patient, kind, caring and takes very good care of the children. If I have any concerns the directors takes my needs seriously and we find resolutions together for the benefit of my son. My son is learning ALOT and is thriving. The owner is dedicated to excellence and it shows with the growth and development of my son.”

“My son went to Lyric Preschool for a year and he loved it, as did we. His teachers in the Teddy Bear class--Miss Kim, Ms. Mari, and Ms. Christina--were beyond wonderful. We could feel the love they held for the children and for their work. They helped him through potty training and napping difficulties. My son thrived there and loved the morning songs, stories they read, fun seasonal events (circus day was one of his favorites), and everyday artwork they made. We only switched him because we moved to San Francisco. We'll always remember my son's time at Lyric Preschool with great fondness.”

“I couldn't imagine a better preschool for our children. Tracie, consistently creates fun, educational activities that make learning through play a joy. She goes above and beyond, often organizing special events like petting zoos, bubble machines, gardening in the vegetable garden, cooking, yoga, and music classes, along with hosting special activities around holidays. My 4-year-old daughter, who has been here for two years, often tells me, "Miss Tracie already taught me that!" Enrolling my 4-month-old son in the infant room with Emilie and Maritza was made easy knowing he would be in a loving and nurturing environment. I'm very happy to have found First Friends; we love it here.”

“I am a Fusion alumni parent as my daughter spent 2 years at the academy. When, after some turbulent times, she started 11th grade in Pasadena in October 2017, the initial plan was she would just catch up with the curriculum she needed support with in order to re-join the mainstream school circuit in February 2018. However the innovative approach of Fusion, the amazing staff and the unique one-on-one teaching allowed my daughter to excel in her studies so much and enjoy going to school, that in the end she never left, stayed on through 12th grade and graduated from High School at Fusion in May 2019. With an excellent GPA she subsequently applied for colleges on the East Coast and was awarded a scholarship to study Performing Arts in the Big Apple.

Fusion advocates a groundbreaking, individualised approach to education. All schools should be like it.”

“My children have attended KJSA since it's inception in 2016. Like many new schools, they went through some growing pains the first year, but I'm so glad we stuck it out with them. Principal Hunsberger and the staff really care about the students and their families. If you're looking for a school that embodies the spirit of the growth mindset then this is the school for your child. Small classroom sizes and a small campus are also a plus.”

“Barefoot Atelier is an absolute dream of a school!! I am beyond grateful to have spent 3 magical years at this school and heartbroken to be moving on! Some highlights:
(i) Teachers! Consistently warm, kind and nurturing staff. They meet the kids where they are with focus on social emotional development through conversation, discussion of feelings and play.
(ii) Kids play hard and get dirty! They garden, paint, craft, cook, dance, sing, yoga, dress up, run around, imagine, create to their hearts’ content.
(iii) Nature! Kids are immersed in nature and exposed to the cycle of life, such as through incubation of chicks in eggs, growing them into chickens and now watching them lay their own eggs, caterpillar metamorphosis, caring for a bearded dragon, tortoises and bunnies, gardening and field trips.
(iv) Field trips! my daughter has learned and grown through school exploration of the greater LA area, including to Malibu Creek, Red Rocks, the beach, tide pools, the CA Science Center, Natural History Museum, Heal the Bay aquarium and optional weekend school camping trips for the whole family (we participated in Ohai and Malibu Creek – pack of kids having a blast exploring shallow creek habitats, camp fires, s'mores – so much fun for the whole family).
(v) Reggio program. Child-led exploration through Reggio-Emilia program builds autonomy and confidence and encourages curiosity. Lessons and then field trips are organized around children’s questions and interests (dinosaurs, outer space, insects, you name it!). I didn’t expect it but my daughter is writing some and well on her way to reading despite having never been forced to sit at a desk to learn lecture-style! (Before finding Barefoot, we spent one week at a school that had 2-year-olds sitting at desks, and limited recesses on a concrete playground -- NOT for us.)
(vi) Creative projects. Recently the kids have been focused on the ocean, marine life, and how to solve ocean pollution. Using recycled cardboard materials, they built and decorated an amazing 5-foot-tall coral reef! One of countless examples.
(vii) Food. Healthy organic lunch program, snacks and kids get involved in so much of the cooking, making tea and smoothies using herbs and ingredients they grow in the garden (such as recently, pesto pasta!).
(viii) Community. The school’s intimate community feels like an extension of our family. Parents are welcome participants to the extent they want to be, joining for celebrations or just popping by to read a story. The school constantly communicates with parents via the app posting dozens of pictures that enable parents to observe the fun, learning and growth daily.
(ix) NO SCREENS. ever.
(x) My daughter LOVES going to school and LOVES her teachers. I cannot say enough good things about this magical place. A better, more enriching preschool does not exist. Wish I could give 100 stars!!!”

“Our son absolutely thrives at this preschool — it’s truly a hidden gem in the heart of Westwood. From the moment we enrolled, we felt the warmth, care, and genuine love the teachers pour into every child. Many of them have been part of the school for decades, which really shows in their experience, patience, and the nurturing environment they’ve created.

They also offer extended care, which has been such a blessing for working parents, and the program is filled with enriching, hands-on activities throughout the day. Our son enrolled at the age of 2 and has made a tremendous progress since joining CCC. We can’t recommend this preschool highly enough!

“Our family has been part of the Green Beginning Community Preschool family for five incredible years, and it's been nothing short of exceptional. The nurturing environment provided by Veronica and Keone has allowed our children to blossom into curious and confident learners. The Spanish immersion program has been particularly impactful, sparking a passion for the language in our children that extends beyond the classroom. We're deeply grateful for the love and support shown by all the teachers, who go above and beyond to ensure every child feels valued and empowered. Green Beginning Community Preschool is truly a gem in our community, and we're thankful for the positive influence it's had on our children's early years. ❤️”
