Stopped here for a quick shop for essentials & food. This joint is massive & has sooo many products of everything! Had plenty of stock throughout the aisles, customer service was friendly & amazing!The restroom is way at the back on the right hand side in the corner.

Very unpleasant visit to this store today, I ask for help from one of the cashiers but she seem to be to busy texting . I ask a second time and still ignore me while she was texting. Then very rude and annoyed she finally help me. To bad the customer service from this store is going down the drain. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and do something to educate these cashiers to learn to provide good customer service

I am beyond dissatisfied with Smart & Final and Assistant Manager, Alex for closing before the 10pm posted closing time.This evening (9/14/2023), I rushed from Food 4 Less to make it to Smart & Final Extra! In Watts on Laurel Street to pick up chopped fruit. I arrived at 9:53pm to a totally locked entrance and a young team member inside operating a machine to clean the floors. This team member looked up at me and advised that they were "closed" through gestures and verbally. My response was that it's before closing time and I asked that a manager be called over.After a few minutes, Assistant Manager Alex came over and reiterated that they were closed and that it was 10:02pm I begged to differ and showed him my phone that said 9:57pm and I asked that he please let me grab two items since they were technically still open. He replied that the cash registers were already closed and cashiers were already gone for the night. I asked that he open a register and let me make my quick purchase. He refused, by now it's 9:58pm. I asked a few times for him to show me the clock that he is relying on that indicates that it is after 10pm - after resistance Alex finally showed me the time which said 9:59pm. He gave many excuses including that it's a dangerous community and that's why they closed early - and I'm livid because the time they we were having this exchange was longer than if he'd adheres to the store hours and let me grab my two items. By his own clock the store should be just about to lock doors at that time but instead staff have been exiting and for them to have begun doing the floors, it had to be closed and empty a good period of time before I arrived.I shared with Alex that I was going to make an official complaint. I am born and raised in the Watts community and I am tired of subpar treatment that is often solely based on location. It is infuriating that customer service is often so poor. I believe that our underserved communities suffer most because stakeholders, although wronged don't usually take the time to make official complaints which only adds to the issue and that may be perceived as acceptance of the less-than-standard service and those who should be providing solid customer service are not held to any standards to be accountable for. This below-standard service is unacceptable.I am taking my complaint as high up the corporate chain of command as possible. Alex lied to my face and made no apology for the fact that the store closed before its closing time. I'll be calling Alex's manager and so on and so forth starting tomorrow. My aim is to be able to shop in my local community up to the closing time at any place of business.The included pictures were taken during my exchange with Alex, both before 10pm PT, mind you!!Livid, Sad & Disappointed,-Ms. Doniell

Worst smart n final probably ever. They definitely don't prioritize customer service, as you can see the workers just aimlessly walking around doing nothing as there always a huge line of people waiting to check out but only two registers open... I saw the same boy and girl talking on the job walking back and forth but not working. Completely inappropriate. I've been coming here for three years now and have still never seen more than 2 check out aisles open. ESPECIALLY WHEN ITS SUPER BUSY!

I prefer to shop here over the other neighboring supermarkets. I find what i need, shelves are merchandised and make it easy to shop. For the most part the service is good. On occasion I've had the cashier having a conversation on their air pods which is poor service in my opinion. But other than that my experience here has been good.

I went in store today and felt like I was being profile here. I had a bag from food 4 less with Chips and being accused of Stealing which is not cool at all. I'm considering reporting this to corporate.

management ordered a kid with disabilities to follow me and make sure I don't steal. lol. i noticed him because he was almost in my back pocket... after I found the avocado I wanted and turned around, he said "don't steal" lol I laughed and asked him do I look like I'm going to steal... he then said " it's cameras that will see you steal, and I will see you steal" ... I finally understood I was just profiled. then I asked him did someone send him over to watch me. he said " yes, my manager." I asked him to take me to his manager. he did, and the manager sent him home. I was embarrassed and insulted when the manager spoke in Spanish telling him to get his things and go home. in my opinion, she put someones kid in danger. it's watts, the kid was not half way capable of handling any situation regarding theft, altercations, and protecting this store merchandise.

Management is not doing there job right. Management needs to hire people who do there job correctly, the person ordering merchandise is not doing there job at all, it's like just hording over and over when there is already things on the top, why not just bring the things on top to the bottom? it literally makes it look like an unpleasant storage place. District manager please needs to do something about it.
