Had a similar experience with the dmv and messing with the certificate. Double charged my account. So now I got scammed $3200 total because the device never worked. Gave me runaround for a few mos. Covid didn't help, everything was closing while this happened in May 2020. Not from the area. Contact me if you can help. Thanks

Hello, I've been trying for months to schedule my interlock device removal. No body answers calls or messages and I desperately need this issue resolved. Please do the right thing and serve your paid clients. I just want to get my device removed after one year of issues. And I don't want to lose my driving privileges over an issue that is the company's fault. Please get back to me and do what's right! Get back to me asap and I will delete this review

Never returned $300 unauthorized charge. Was told multiple I would receive refund on the unauthorize charge but never received. Multiple follow up were also ignored. I would highly recommend you go to another company.

Been trying for 3+ months to have this ignition lock removed from my car. I've called constantly and continuously put on hold then told that no one is available. This is crazy and ridiculous, I just want to take the device out of my car. 3 MONTHS!!!! Since completing all requirements. I'm about to call a lawyer, other companies won't remove their device.

Please listen to the bad reviews. You are playing Russian roulette when going through this company. I thought, "It won't happen to me." I was wrong. I was also scammed after paying 750 dollars for the IID system. They never sent me a device to install and it has now been over two weeks and still no contact from them. Phone numbers have been disconnected and even though I have called the company's website number no one has returned my call. I am now making a police report and trying to get their company removed from the DMV website. Beware do not play Russian Roulette you may get burned like I did.

The worst customer service I've ever encountered. Last Saturday the device had locked me out so I called the company. I was told that everyone was away from their desks and someone would call me back. After several other calls to the company I was finally told to communicate directly with Ben, via cell, who told me he would take care of me... I must have message him 5 or 6 times throughout the rest of the day, and heard nothing. Mind you I was supposed to work last Saturday. Sunday morning I messaged him and he told me that he thought he'd responded. (To which of the many messages, Ben?). Anyway, I got my code finally and when I started the vehicle, I got a message on the device that said Lock out in 6 days. I immediately sent Ben a message and heard nothing. When the device said 4 days, I messaged him with a picture of the device. I also called the company every day and have heard nothing from them. The device is going to lock me out tomorrow and I will again miss work. This company is garbage. I really wish I would have read the reviews here on Yelp before I gave them my money. If you don't believe me, read all the other crap reviews. Also note that Golden State Interlock has a Better Business Bureau rating of F. They have 10 complaints. They have failed to respond to 9 of them and the other one was not resolved. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

If you're required to have an IID installed on your car, Goldenstate Interlock should be the last option for you. Forget the lure of one upfront cost, and a mechanic installing the device at your home, because once they've convinced you, you're in for the worst journey. But, don't take my experience as an isolated case, or one disgruntled client. Read the other reviews and notice the similarities. Meanwhile, my first encounter began with a botched certificate of installation from the mechanic. The DMV refused to accept it with a little scribble on it. Not a big deal right? No, not during the DMV's normal business as usual days of old. That would have been too good to be true. This was during the early days of the pandemic. Lines upon lines of people and unhappy DMV staff was more than enough. Fast forward a few months of somewhat smooth sailing and the device begins to malfunction. And, this is where I'll begin...but allow me to tell you how I was stranded at the gas station yesterday in the boiling heat. I made my first call at 11:41am. From that first call, I texted, and texted, and simultaneously called the only 2 numbers I have. As of 10:10 am today, neither one of the 2 have got back to me. Calling the main number is a lesson in futility since I've already memorized the call center's spiel. No one is there to help you! Eventually, I was able to get a code from someone I have grown very fond of. Please note, I'm not naming names. It was gone 1:45pm by the time I got home from the gas station, 2 minutes from my home. If this had been the first instance, I might have been more forgiving. Alas, it's a regular, and now, every 2 or 3 day occurrence which has been happening since the Spring. But, you'll need to come back tomorrow to learn the rest. Meanwhile, enjoy the photo of the error code on my device. Pray this doesn't happen to you.

Golden State Interlock is a 3rd tier company with sub par customer service and lack of support after the sale. I made the decision based on price and features and after 4 months I can say that they get a D-. I have been locked out of my car for 5 days with no return calls from "Customer No-service" The offsite receptionist is very polite and states some one will get right back with you. Well after 5 days and 27 calls to the customer service center no one has responded and my car will be towed in 24 hours. I got the Presidents email address and will be address this with him directly. Don't walk away from Golden State run... Still waiting after 5 days, Mark San Diego

5 stars is for a man named Dustin when my time was up for the IID I had his number still in my contacts to get further steps on removal and then what to do next and he was so efficient and clear even with questions I had with the dmv he was able to answer and it was just so helpful you can tell he really is a people person and enjoys helping those that he can ! Thank you again Dustin !

This is my first DUI, bin was so helpful and knowledgeable on a lot of things that no one else let me know. I highly recommend these guys did a great job for me in such a stressful time.
