This place was awful? the whole building was a mess, starting from the lot. Theres a lot of people just hanging out that clearly dont have a room there. Elevators feel like its going to break down. When we walked in the room it smelled like smoke even tho we got a smokeless room . The room looked like one of those abandoned motel rooms. The restroom was dirty with a hole in the wall. The shower head was broken and put together with tape. The restroom floor had some dark huge stains. We keep finding burnt out weed joints all over the room. The heater doesnt heat . The coach was broken and the carpet was so dirty and had so much stains. We stayed in room 326

We enjoyed our stay at Studio 6 San Pedro. The facilities and rooms were exactly what we expected; they aren't luxurious, but they are comfortable and more than just adequate. The gentleman at the reception window was very friendly and quite helpful. He pointed out a couple nearby restaurants which are within a couple blocks. Another block west of that, there are several cool shops, some of them with items made locally. The hotel's location is ideal for the night(s) before a cruise. We were able to walk roughly half a mile with our bags to the terminal without being exhausted. You can also tour USS Iowa, which is closer than the cruise terminal.

This place could actually be an amazing hotel if a little love and attention was given to updating the furniture and disinfecting the hall ways and fixing broken windows around the property. However the staff is more than accommodating and pleasant. This place has rooms that overlook the water and sits right across from the water front. Literally your steps away. It looks like there were some renovations happening while I was there and hopefully ? I will return when they’re finished but this is not a hotel for the easily bothered. What I can say is this place has very quiet evenings. I slept well. But again all furniture is really dated but some rooms are huge! Family huge. Definitely can’t beat the price but again not for everyone. Do your research or go up one block to the Crown plaza. I do hope they renovate because the views from this hotel would be worth the stay and worth an upgrade in prices. Making good experiences and good business for everyone. Good luck-

The pictures are not true. The pool is drained and not in service. Owners will not be filling due to cost cutting measures. The place is completely run down and under stated. Street people are occupying the rooms mainly. Do not go there and pay 100.00 or more. The furniture is old and banged up. The rooms are dirty and toilets overflow easily. It's a rat hole.

Stay away from this place unless you are absolutely desperate. I booked a suite and it was filthy. Thinnest toilet paper possible. Practically unusable. The grounds are filthy. Piles of poop all over the place. Honestly, it has kind of a halfway house kind of vibe. The only saving grace is the location which is within easy walking distance to the cruise terminal which is why I'm here. I would never stay here again though and don't recommend it.***Oh, I forgot to mention that in the room description for the suite it says it has a hot tub. It's actually just a bath tub.***

Super nice counter personnel welcome guests with a smile and are helpful about getting you to your room. I had a non-smoking room that regrettably had the essence of cig smoke most likely from the vents of the surrounding rooms. There weren't any table lamps for before sleep reading by the beds but there were ceiling can lights overhead in the general area of the bedside and around the room. There was an ironing board but no iron, I imagine you can request one from the front desk during daylight hours. And the bathroom had a high rack with a pair of standard side hotel bath towels with wash cloths and a floor mat, but no hand towels. But they were the fluffiest hotel towels I've ever experienced in a mid-range or budget hotel, so they made for an excellent bathing and washing-up experience despite their smallish size. The bathroom had a great bath & shower head but had an unfortunately slippery tub bottom that required some serious balancing before enjoying the shower. There wasn't a handhold bar or towel rack to help folks with stability or physical agility issues to enter & exit the tub with. There was several small bars of soap if needed but no shampoo, creme rinse or any other niceties one might look for in an $80 dollar, pet friendly room. Happily the carpeting was clean and didn't reek of pet urine or smoke and the A/C worked well despite the worn-out function buttons. The window drapes were several inches too short so the bright morning sun was easily visible at the top and bottom of the street facing window. The build itself could use some insulation against street traffic and loquacious hotel guests up and down the hall at all hours. The housekeepers were super nice when speaking with them about locating the pet area outside and other general info. This hotel being pet friendly is why I booked a room there while my place was readied for an exterminator visit. In the future I'd opt for a room on the next floor up at the back of the building where it's significantly quieter. There's plenty of free lot parking and while there's a pool, it hasn't yet been restored from the Covid-19 moratorium of no public gatherings. I highly recommend keeping pets leashed in the halls against other hotel guests with their un-leashed dogs that're more than happy to rush your pet with a little too much toothy friendliness. Also it's recommended to use the additional latch locks on the inside of the door and make sure the lock assembly clicks securely, as the doorframe insulation is just thick enough to stop the locking mechanism from catching securely and there were a couple of doorknob jiggles during the night after I'd retired for the evening after 2:30 am. An ok place to stay with your pet despite the variety of minor deficiencies one may encounter during their stay. Definitely in a good location for places to walk along the waterfront across the street from the hotel front and the great variety of eateries and bars behind the hotel going up 5th, 6th and 6th streets as well as their being a Starlight movie theater uptown on Western Ave and breweries on 7th St and south on Harbor Blvd several blocks past 17th St. Boating, fishing, dining, museums, an aquarium and live music surround the hotel for visitors interested in seeing the sights around town.Nearby activities: Maritime, Fire, olde San Pedro homes & Pt Fermin Lighthouse museum's as well as an aquarium and a WW2 battleship museum surround the olde downtown area this hotel's location. Plenty of coastal area parks, beaches and tour boats are available all year'round to enjoy the fresh weather that keeps the coastal areas breezily fresh.Walkability: Lots to see along the Harbor Blvd location this hotel is located at.

BEAUTIFUL LOCATION. HOWEVER, hotel it’s self is disgusting. During the night there’s roaches everywhere. They do not scurry. Rooms are extremely dirty. Housekeeping cleans to FIX the rooms for next person. Does not clean the rooms to CLEAN THE ROOM. If you understand what I mean. We had three rooms for this stay. All three rooms were dirty. Pubic hair everywhere in the bathroom. Soap scum, hair that belonged to previous guests. Our Tub wasn’t even draining. There’s so much more problems with this hotel stay that, I have no where to start. Red hair hanging in the closet. Mind you we all have black hair. I only took a few fotos. Is not allowing me to post them all files are too big. Never again at this location. Thank you.

It's by far the worst room I've ever been to...There were hairs in the shower, mold in the ceilings and overall just disgusting. Had a kid in the room above us running back and forth all night with really bad noise cancelling on walls and ceiling. The neighboring room also had a kid crying every once in a while. There was a gap on the door splitting our rooms making it really open for noise between the rooms...Been to 30+ Motels/Hotels from Chicago to LA the last month, this is the most expensive and the worst. Steer away!Rooms: Really bad, low quality and expensive.Safety: It feels safe.

*BEWARE* Do not stay here!! It’s a dump. Location was perfect. But the inside was filthy. It smelled like cooked curry immediately when you arrive. The room had no AC or a latch lock on the door. We immediately switched rooms to find more filth. The hallways stunk. The rooms were awful. What a waste of money. Never again!! Zero Stars if that was an option.

This place is disgusting, the furniture is stained, the rooms smell, like smoke, dogs bark at 3 AM, lots of long-term rentals that look like they are homeless. People using drugs in the hallway. Elevator was full of pee. There is an aggressive possum living in the bush by the pool. The pool looks like it hasn’t been functioning in 10 years. Nice that the harbour was right across the road.

This place is a dump. The rooms are not suites, but run down rooms with a mini fridge and a tiny microwave. The room needed a good cleaning and new furniture. The upholstery on the furniture was torn. There are warning signs to keep you door dead bolted and not to open the door unless you knew the person knocking. It was convenient for a cruise from San Pedro and parking for the week was half the amount at the terminal, but we will not stay here again.

Great location right next to docks for major cruise liners like Norwegian. Owners were very helpful and accommodating. But don't stay here unless you don't mind pot smoke wafting everywhere, mildew in showers, smell, soft lumpy beds, plumbing not working in some rooms, homeless sleeping on stairwells etc... Stayed with a school because we stayed here before covid (under different mgmt) but looks like the suites are now for govt subsidized homeless. Single rooms are run down and neglected. That's what you'll get if you book it like a hotel. Kids had a character building experience.

Below reads an email I sent to the owner of this hotel based on events which happened to me during my stay May 3, until May 5, 2023. I hope it all fits. I'm insulted by the very existence of this dilapidated dump. Attention: Mike (Owner)Paul (Manager)On April 25, 2023, I made a reservation to stay at your location of 525 South Harbor Avenue in the city of San Pedro on May 3rd through May 5th (2 nights). The degree of incompetence and unprofessionalism, I had to deal with at your location is unbelievable and ruined my stay. It's terrible how this once reputable company, has turned into one of the worst hotel chains in America. The fact that Motel 6 has gone totally "franchised",I spoke with Paul the day prior to check-in. I wanted to make certain my reservation was correct and in tact. At that time, I was told there were rooms on the lower level based on my request of a lower level room because of my disability. However, Paul failed to inform me or the reservation specialist, that rooms on the bottom floor, were primarily, if not always, allocated to weekly rentals of individuals or families. These rooms have also been provided to the homeless, by way of hotel vouchers provided by the 211 housing program. This is the beginning of numerous mistakes made off lies and assumptions by Paul as he selected the room I'd occupy. You, like so many other immigrants always assume the worst when it comes to African-Americans. This usually means, if you see an opening to cheat us, you take it. Big mistake on the part of your establishment. You never know who's staying at your hotel. I PAID A STANDARD UNMODIFIED PRICE FOR MY ROOM, HOW DARE YOU PLACE ME IN ONE OF THE ROOMS YOU'D NEVER PLACE OTHER GUESTS IN ALTHOUGH I PAID THE SAME.I was purposefully given one of the rooms on the first level which were used by stay-over from the homeless housing program and those used for long term stays. They're disgusting. chase and kill roaches and was eaten up by bed bugs. This time, I had a non working mini fridge, no hot water in the sink in the bathroom and broken out pieces of porcelain in the shower causing me to scratch my feet. Mixed matched furniture stained with what looks like blood. Not one piece of Motel 6 furnishings or logo. The hallways are filthy with trash bins inside the building, across from my room with all manners of garbage falling from the full garbage bins to the floor. This hotel, like most other Motel 6 hotels knowingly rent to bottom feeders; the worst mankind has to offer. Fights, drug activity, crime all around. I find it interesting that these shady characters are always at the front desk making "deals" to extend their stay. With them, comes every problem and danger that goes along with those type of people. I'm posting this as a review and copying Motel 6 customer relations with the pictures. Management should really think about how to remedy this situation. The one you created at my expense.
