Super cool speakeasy with actual vinyls you can choose to play. Drinks are great, very refreshing. This is a bar upstairs from the pizza place. Entrance is all the way in the back of the pizza place, up the stairs.

Sunset & Vinyl is the kind of place that makes you say, 'You've got to put some miles on your soul!' as Quincy Jones would put it. When my partner's cousin breezed into town, we stumbled upon this not-your-average-bar while hunting for a chill spot. I mean, sure, we've seen our share of themed bars – from galaxies far, far away to culinary wonderlands. But Sunset & Vinyl? It's like stepping into your cool uncle's secret hideout, where the only currency is good vibes and even better music. Picture this: you're lounging, sipping on expertly crafted cocktails, surrounded by the soulful crackle of vinyl records. And get this – you can play DJ, picking out your own album to spin on the turntable. Talk about a vibe! This place is sneakier than a cat burglar. Tucked away above another eatery, it's like a speakeasy for music lovers. You weave through a restaurant, up the stairs, down a corridor and bam – welcome to the coolest joint in town. The crowd? As diverse as a box of crayons. Young, old, in-between, every color and flavor – it's like a human rainbow chilling out together. The drinks? So good they'll make you forget your ex's name. The bartenders are like wizards with a shaker. My crew and I hung out, spinning records and sipping on magic potions for hours. It's a spot where you can actually feel safe while letting your hair down in Hollywood. Don't walk, run to Sunset & Vinyl. It's not just a bar, it's an experience!Parking: You'll have to locate parking on the street or in a parking lot near the building and then walk over.Wheelchair accessibility: I don't think they have an elevator.

Cool spot with a really unique atmosphere. It's up the stairs in the back of the 800 degrees pizza, so a cool mysterious spot to impress a friend/date.Drinks are definitely on the pricier side, but this is a great spot for a drink or two -- also in proximity to a lot of other good spots.

Run by nice folks but it's a sorry excuse for a listening bar. The sound system is terrible - as in, sounds like they're using old cheap speakers that someone was giving away for free after failing to sell them - super disappointing! Drinks were pretty bad as well, nice bartenders but clearly not professional mixologists. Selection of vinyl was kind of random and whatever Goodwill was throwing away.

Decent cocktails in a speakeasy-ish setting - or at least one that's dark, loungey, and "hidden" above a ground-floor food court. Most items cost $20-40, while some drinks ostensibly featuring brand-name booze may cost $80-300.The staffing felt a bit odd when I stopped by, with one bartender who appeared to be holding down the fort, while another staffer (someone new?) looked puzzled and overwhelmed - and just disappeared outright soon after I sat down at the bar. After what seemed like an eternity, with customers getting up on their own to rotate what was on the record player (hence the name of the venue - a nice pun on the name of the nearby intersection), I was finally able to order the Strawberry Fields - a refreshingly sweet and rich combination of Smoke Lab aniseed vodka, strawberry, orgeat, Aperol, and lime. Just what I was in the mood for.If I'm really feeling a cocktail bar, I'll usually go for at least three drinks - a fruity one like I had here, a boozy one, and then a desserty one. Given the understaffed service, I opted to skip straight to the Seniorita Paulina (espresso ristretto, Licor 43 horchata, cinnamon) - indeed a satisfying, soothing, desserty way to end things.I understand that it takes time to make complex, well-crafted cocktails, but having only one person behind the bar trying to juggle at least 20 customers meant that things were too slow and impersonal to make lingering here worth it. So, the verdict: OK drinks, but don't come if you want to stick to a schedule.Pro tip: you don't need to shove your drinks into the photo - or massage, fondle, or molest them - with your bare, moist, wrinkly hands and dirty fingernails. You also don't need to call attention away from the drinks with pointless "action" shots. Keep all body parts, plaque-laced bite marks, and distracting backgrounds out of the photo. Focus solely on the food and drink itself. #stayclassy #stayuseful #noyouarenotanarteeste

Friendly staff, shoutout to you Josh! Great bartender and makes well crafted cocktails! I never had my Midori sour this way before! Great vibes, music, and company. Pick a vinyl and put it in the queue to play on the vinyl station. This placed is upstairs of the pizza joint. Call it "speakeasy" if you may. We honestly thought we got the address wrong lol. This place is super cozy and dimly lit. Wide selection of drinks to choose from. Go check it out!

As far as I'm concerned, it's a great place to come with friends and have a drink! The place is pretty small and can get crowded sometimes. Great service and great location!

It’s a nice speakeasy above the Italian restaurant; sharing the same entrance. Nice furniture and good drinks. They have a bunch of vinyl records that you can ask them to put on. The drinks are made by a mixology style bartender, and can be simple or complex.Parking: Downtown Hollywood city metered parking

Great drinks, especially if you go off menu. The bartender was great and very personable. a little pricy, but worth it to lounge and flip through beat up records.

Maybe it's because I love vinyl, maybe it's because I love craft cocktails, maybe it's because I love genuine people. Idk this place was one of the most unique spots I've ever been. It's a cozy spot on the upper floor of a pizza restaurant that has an insane amount of charm and the friendliest staff. They honestly seemed so happy to be slinging complicated cocktails while letting me pick out and play the most absurd records. If you're looking for a spot to feel like an extension of your living room enjoying a nice cocktail listening to classic records this is your spot!
