Steve Hunter had been recommended by Control 4 when my original media installer went out of business. My Control 4 system had gotten corrupted since the original install and I needed a new set of eyes to reprogram and bring it up to date. I met with Steve Hunter a few days before I was to leave on holiday for 3 weeks. He seemed progressional and reliable, was on time and full of ideas and information. He said I needed a full reprogram of the Control4 main frame and that my existing controller had corrupted software and was too old to reprogram. He even tried to contact the original installer in the hope that he could get the original programming instructions so he wouldn't have to start from scratch. He also left a new controller module in my equipment rack which he hoped to reprogram upon my return. The plan was to met up soon after I returned from overseas and I even reached out by WhatsApp to stay in touch. Sound good so far, right. Well once I got things started to go south. I returned home on Dec 8,2022 and left a message for him to call. We had a brief conversation on Dec 10 at which time we agreed to meet on Tuesday Dec 20 and complete the programing and system setup. There was no question we were setup for Dec 20 I reached out again on Dec 19 to confirm our appointment for the next day and that's when his true colors came out: I reminded him that he had specifically agreed to complete the work on Dec 20. He had certainly enough time to plan since I left the country on Nov 16 and didn't return until Dec 8. His response to my text: "Rod my recollection when we last talked is we would book a time before Xmas for the next year. I don't have it don't firm for this week. I planned on doing it next year. In case there's issue I like to have access to tech support easily. Right now I have clients needing music and TVs for Xmas" I reminded him of our conversation of Dec 10: Steve We spoke on the phone the Saturday after I returned from Indonesia. We specifically set up the service call for tomorrow Tuesday Dec 20 at 9am.I have notes on my phone regarding our conversation. You told me at that time that it had to be that week because you were out of town over the holidays. So are you now telling me that you are not going to complete the work until the first of the year?? This doesn't make me happyIt turned out that he is clearly a flake, he was telling me that we never had the confirmed appointment and he had even forgotten that he had left an expensive Control 4 main module at my house Our conversations went south from there. I'm sure he'll have his version of the situation but the bottom line is this guy just didn't care enough and a small job and basically blew me off. This guy will NEVER get my business or my recommendation. His memory is bad and his ego is huge!@

My dad loves TV and movies, and for his present I decided to set him up with a nice little home theatre in his guest bedroom. The Hunter Group came in for an consultation, and I didn't even realize how much they could automate for dad!! Watching a flick or episode in here is as easy for him as flipping a switch and letting the tech do the rest. It's the greatest preset I could have given him he says, even though it wasn't much of a surprise :DIf you have an extra room or want to upgrade your family room to something AWESOME, look no further than Hunter Group. 15/10 stars!!

I have had the pleasure of working with Steve and his great team since 2000. He has successfully implemented and supported me with 4 large house remodels, one new home construction project, and one condo remodel in Los Angeles. Steve has been there all the way supporting me for 20 years+, and is always there, whether I have a question or am looking to expand my systems. Considering the horror stories of friends who have worked with other installers, I consider myself very lucky to have found Steve Hunter early on in, and look forward to more projects together in the future. I had a Control 4 system that was never working properly. Steve and his team fixed the whole thing and did an amazing job. I had them do our entire second home as well. Fantastic work! I'm so happy that everything actually works now. If I ever have a problem, Hunter Group is so easy to contact.

Steve and The Hunter group did an absolutely phenomenal job installing our Control 4 system in our business. Because of how outstanding of a job him and his installers did I'm now able to control my lighting, speakers, and practically everything in my our business. I love how quick and diligent they were able to install everything and how clean and easy of a job it was for them. I highly recommend them for your next installation job!

Excellent job with my entire home. Guests are always blown away by all the neat things our "smart" home can do. I can even turn on the jacuzzi from my iPhone :)
