TransLatin@ Coalition stands as a powerful force for change, and I am honored to share my experience with this transformative organization. From the first encounter, it was evident that this coalition is more than just a support system; it's a family. The dedication of TransLatin@ Coalition to advocating for the rights and well-being of transgender and gender non-conforming individuals is awe-inspiring. The services they provide, ranging from legal assistance to health resources, are vital pillars of support for a community often facing unique challenges. What sets TransLatin@ Coalition apart is the personalized and culturally competent approach to their advocacy. The staff's genuine care and understanding create a safe haven where one's identity is not just respected but celebrated. This coalition goes beyond providing services; it actively empowers individuals to navigate a world that may not always understand or affirm their identities. My experience with TransLatin@ Coalition has been empowering, instilling a sense of pride and resilience. I wholeheartedly recommend this organization to anyone seeking compassionate and knowledgeable support within the transgender and gender non-conforming community. In choosing TransLatin@ Coalition, you're choosing solidarity and a pathway towards positive change.

the organization is good for food no matter what color you are or where you come from (trans status also unimportant). thats all most people need to know. lunch starts around noon.their hope house housing program leaves much to be desired... but ive seen worse. they will throw you out for not having the rent with less than 24 hour notice. youd think a group of people who claim to support illegal immigrants would be more willing to help people find work or less likely to throw you out. but i saw more than one person thrown out over nonsense.the people here dont really know what theyre doing and it shows. they have a lot of talented people here but unfortunately you cant change the rest of them. you dont have to be a good person to start or work for a charity. but in my experience the entire lgbtq community of los angeles is garbage when it comes to helping the less fortunate.

If I could give this zero stars I would. This place doesn’t even deserve to be open, yet alone funded. They are so outrageously disrespectful here, and treat everyone like complete garbage. They have zero care in the world for your well-being or mental health, they borderline are mentally abusive and have put me in several situations where I felt legitimately fearful for my safety. Avoid TransLatina Coalition like the plague, go to trans wellness like right down the street.

they arent the only group dedicated to helping, nor are they the only organization which claims to help the lgbtq community. but theyre by far the most competent. and they care enough to do their jobs. the name didn't make me feel welcome, but the people are respectful even if they dont all like me. what can i say? im more polarizing than your sunglasses ?

I visit LA on and off for resources. Have been doing for yrs... A lot of friendly faces I remembered are no longer there. APAIT on same floor- much the same. Its just no longer as vibrant and welcoming as it used to be. My friend and I both felt very out of place and decided not to go back.
