I'm only giving 4 stars because they are usually low on shipping items for sending gifts (inconvenient but not the end of the world). Lots of neg reviews but I've never had a bad interaction with the ladies here. I've seen them verbally abused by town men, however.

I went into this post office at 8th & Flower next door to LA Fitness on 2/14/24 in the 11am hour. I paid for postage on a birthday card envelope, inside a 25.00 gift card from the cheese cake factory. The pink envelope was going to my niece in Long Beach for her 2/21 birthday. Someone working within this post office took off the tape I had secured the envelope with And stole the twenty five dollar gift card. This is low and this individual has no morals and have no business working in the postal system.

This might be the worst postal office in the entire country. The workers are rude, condescending, and most unhelpful. On top of that, it regularly closes early (or opens late) without so much as a note on the door.

ZERO STARS. Terrible USPS, workers are very lazy. The person I talked to was on her airpods and phone. NOONE was in line and I was asking for a receipt for my packages with prepaid labels already and the workers said I had to "go to the self service to get the receipt" there are 3 self service machines and only 1 was working while there were 4 people standing in line to get labels. The same worker also has attitude when speaking to customers and assisting them.

The workers in there are too ignorant to be so condescending. POOR PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR! can’t even ask a question without receiving an attitude. they talk about the customers as if they’re not standing there. they are extremely rude and they talk about nonsense loud and proud instead of doing their job. poor representation of the federal postal service. it’s quite sad and i really hope they rehire new individuals!

THE ATTITUDE From your workers are just plain RUDE!! I've never been talked to like that at a post office simply asking to scan a package. The place is dirty then I was told to go to the kiosk when absolutely no one was in line just so I can get a receipt for a prepaid label. How hard is it to do the bare minimum! If you hate your job quit! She had a complete attitude when 2 post workers sitting at the desk doing nothing. The machine didn't even have receipt paper I had to leave! If I can give zero stars I would!

This is the branch with the rudest service I have ever encountered. You should find good employees to work. And rude employees should be fired once and for all. Looking at reviews, many people have encountered rude employees. But this woman was still at work and was rude to customers.

Very poor service. There were two female staffs, and either of them talked to customers in a cynical&impatient tone as if they owed her 2000 dollars for 10 years and never wanted to pay back and yet she had to serve them. Not even sure how these two ladies passed the hiring bar to work at this usps branch in downtown LA. They have literally no work ethic.

Attention to post office Administration.I would humbly request you guys to think about one Afro American worker who is extremely rude in any way you name it , she does not deserve to work there period, giving very bad impression with her ugly rude attitude. You should get rid off this Afro-American lady immediately for the sake of your good .

The female dark skin staff at here USPS is the worst person I’ve ever met in my entire life. Also the package is lost because she REFUSED to correct the wrong mailing address she fill in, she also yelled at me and said racism comments on an Asian lady.

Clerk was abrupt and gave answers that were unclear, and blamed me for misunderstanding. Apparently, 'what you need is in the lobby' was supposed to tell me that there was a display with mailing envelopes, rather than directing me to the self-service machines when I said 'I'd like to mail these shirts to my friend.'The place was clean and orderly, and had everything I needed, once past the confusion.I teach communications, so perhaps I am being too picky.

I have had bad experiences with the workers here before hence I opt to use machines whenever possible. However, the machine was out today and sure enough I was treated with bad attitude (gum chewing, instagram scrolling and eye rolling). I am sure this will never get better; though i do hope things will be better eventually.

There’s a common theme here about the service and attitude. The big ogre ratchet looking girl with the big hoop is by far the worst I’ve ever seen. They have private conversation before helping customers who are in line. Also the other girl with the cashew shaped head that always has a AirPods in her ear also constantly on the phone and throws packages in the back without any care. I don’t know where they get these people to work is beyond me. Guaranteed no GED for either of them. They clearly don’t care about this job and to see many one star reviews should be a wake up call. I hope they read this. They probably too busy talking or trapping when they leave earlier than the closing time states just so they can go home to wherever sewers they come from. Parents definitely did not teach them any professionalism or work ethic

Non functioning office that closes whenever it feels like it and just puts a note in the door. And no way to call ahead to check that they are open. Found this out the hard way when I carried a bunch of heavy packages there durning normal business hours and they were closed. Very unreliable!

As everyone else, I had issues with one of the USPS staff members. I'm unsure if we're all talking about the same woman since I've been treated very poorly by both a window clerk and someone in the back. The USPS staff member was extremely unhelpful and rude. First of all, she was having a personal phone conversation on her AirPods while she was assisting me, she did not hang up, and I feel that was a violation of my privacy as the person on the other side could hear everything I said, from my name, address, and zip code, to the contents of my package and its value. I also noticed this staff member had several open bags of snacks on her desk, and at the same time that she was assisting me, she continued her personal conversation on her phone. I don't know where you work, but where I do all of these are unacceptable and I've seen people getting fired for spending their mornings on the phone instead of working. However, it wasn't just an optics issue, she clearly had an attitude issue. While she was calm and chatty on the phone, she would rush through the information she had to provide me, she showed the uttermost disdain towards assisting me, and when asked questions, she would reply condescendingly and simply say "I don't know" implying that it wasn't her job to know. For example, I told her my package contained a computer, and I asked her if that qualified as containing batteries or if I only had to disclose loose batteries. She LAUGHED at me and said it wasn't her job to know if a computer contains batteries and that I should answer the questions to the best of MY knowledge. Like, are these people not trained at all on basic mailing rules? Shouldn't a customer rep be able to answer questions regarding mailing? I was rushed through the entire process despite the post office being empty, and while I was trying to ask questions about the services I was contracting (insurance, speed, cost, etc.), the employee continuously kept talking over me, and it felt as if she was just trying to get me out of there as fast as possible, again, without having any other customers in the office. What worries me the most is that I didn't see her place the package anywhere. She just left it on the counter, and the tracking doesn't show it moving. This is extremely disturbing and adds to several issues with the staff at this post office. Many employees here are extremely rude and refuse to help or to ask for help when they don't know something, I've seen them filing their nails, chewing gum, talking on the phone while working, and eating while assisting customers. This is the only post office ever where I've lost packages. I don't know who manages this post office, but it smells like corruption, incompetency, and cruelty toward customers. It's not just the clerks, it's whoever manages this post office that is clearly negligent at their job. I encourage all the reviewers to submit formal complaints to USPS. Search "File a U.S. Postal Service complaint" on Google and click the USA GOV link, it has several links to file complaints against sales reps, contact the USPS district consumer affairs office, or file complaints against theft. I encourage reviewers to not only leave reviews on Google but actually file complaints so these issues can be escalated. Hopefully that can change things and USPS will improve their vetting process for new candidates, or improve their selection of managers, and training of their staff.
