“Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We arrived on time for the appointment and were taken back to the treatment room, but then were not seen, while other pets were seen. When I checked back in with the front desk, they appeared to not know who we were, when our appointment was, or when or if we would be seen. Bad all around.
UPDATE: This issue was promptly--and graciously--resolved with a follow up appointment the following day and free exam. It is refreshing for a veterinary practice to acknowledge and address a concern so quickly and directly. We will be returning.”

My cat has had a large lump on his arm for some time, and I came in feeling very anxious and worried. The staff took the time to examine him thoroughly and explained everything clearly and honestly. They reassured me that he is otherwise healthy and that the lump can be removed through a cosmetic surgery if we choose to move forward, which gave me a lot of peace of mind.
When my cat became stressed and reactive during the visit, the team handled it with patience and compassion. Instead of forcing anything, they adjusted the plan and provided medication to help him relax for his next appointment so blood work can be done safely and calmly. I really appreciated that they prioritized his comfort and well-being.
The estimates for blood work and surgery were clear, reasonable, and far more manageable than I expected, which was a huge relief. I never felt judged or rushed; just supported and listened to.
This clinic truly cares about animals and their owners. I’m very thankful to have found them and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate, honest veterinary care.”

Unlike the pet hospitals, the melrose vet puts the energy into making you feel like you’re apart of the process and you know what’s going on. She's a terrific vet - gets to the point, doesn't shy away from bad news, doesn't look for it, either! Neither complacent nor alarmist, Dr. Carvalho has navigated me through all kinds of crises and near crises with a number of beloved dogs and cats. I wouldn't go anywhere else.”
“We have been coming to Little Tokyo Pet Clinic for over 10 years with our 2 fur babies. Dr. Chung and her team of experts deeply care about the pets that visit them. When my baby had IVDD and couldn’t walk- the team helped him walk again with proper treatment. And when it was time to let our other baby go, they were supportive both scientifically and spiritually. After we made the tough decision, our memorable last day with her wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for the team encouraging we could go enjoy one last special moment together before sending her to heaven. “Great vet. Our dog had an incredible amount of anxiety when she visited our old vet, not only a danger to herself but to the staff. We decided to try EGVC and they were totally understanding and made the experience as bearable as possible, even letting us accompany our dog during portions of the tests, shots, etc. in order to comfort her. It was a huge relief to finally find a vet who can handle our pup and give her the care she needs.”

“We used to go there years ago, for acupuncture with Dr Zoe. It's been 7 years since we had a dog too. We took in our new shelter dog for an exam, and they even honored the Animal Shelter coupon for a first time check at a VCA Pet Hospital. Dr Kohan (sp) and our wonderful tech were so VERY kind, gentle and knowledgeable. Sadly our boy had other health conditions, unknown to us at the time, and had to be put to sleep weeks later.
