Thanks to unprofessional staff , I will never shop Vons again. I simply came in this morning to use coinstar. Went about my business and as I was at the cashier, I begin to get heckled by the cashier Jackie. Talking bout there’s a zero bag policy in the store. Now keep in mind as I walked in I greeted the security (clearly saw my reusable Trader Joe’s bag) and she said nothing whatsoever only a good morning back. I am born and raised in the neighborhood so this was surprising to me. What was more bewildering was the fact my bag was a groceries bag. I felt as if I was being profiled as a thief and to prove them wrong I layed my personal items out in front of her. Of course she was embarrassed. Then JESUS, the kid bagging the groceries, has the audacity to address me saying “Bud do we have a problem” like if he was some sort of top flight security. That is not okay and very unprofessional. (Had to keep my temper).
This is such a shame because, you all not only failed to enforce your policies but also made a paying customer feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Thank You staff at Vons north Alvarado (Jesus and Jackie) for the horrible experience this morning. Never shopping Vons again.

Convenient place to shop. Friendly staff and always helpful with a smile. Still true years later. Great market. It's June, and Vons gives the flower mart a run for their money. The Gorgeoust Peonies I picked up in a pinch. On sale $9.99. So happy I needed and saw them while shopping. Better value and bulb than Trader's.

No I will not leave my backpack/$2k computer at the front for you to not watch it Mr. Security Guard. Try getting off of your phone for 5 seconds and maybe you could actually do your job (none of the other security guards make me leave it at the front)

BEWARE! DONT GO HERE! I parked in this Vons’ parking lot and went in to grab my mom some flowers and a pack of gum and when I came out my car got towed for $320! I asked the manager and he said very rudely that he needed to see my receipt so after I walked 1hr to get my car back I came back and showed him my receipt, he then said “oh, well once it’s towed I can’t do anything.” I asked around at the tow yard and found out that the tow guy is friends with the Von’s store manager, so I’m guessing they get some sort of kickback for each car they refer. Very poor customer service. DO NOT PARK HERE!

A cashier by the name of Marc just told me about a coupon and saved me $14 while he was scanning my items. That’s customer service and that’s why I’ll keep returning to this location!

Recent upgrades have helped a lot. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. The only issue is that it's not as big as many other Vons stores. It has that neighborhood feeling, but not as much selection.
