I probably have been a member of this credit union since I started working at DWP in 1985 (prior to ATM machines and direct deposit, etc). At that time, since I was working out of the 111 N. Hope St location it was convenient to just walk down to the lobby and do business. But I am retired now. This review is not about the Hope St branch but really about WPCCU's customer service staff, which is all I interact with now. Sometime last fall I noticed that some unauthorized transactions were being made against my ATM card. So I got in touch with the Fraud Department, identified the transactions, and waited for my money to be refunded. Within about two weeks, these bogus transactions were reversed. So far so good. The person in the Fraud Dept. who helped me told me she would have to cancel my ATM card because it was compromised. I asked if I would get another one and she indicated that I would. After waiting several weeks and not receiving any new ATM card, I called back the Customer Service line and explained my situation. I was told then that no new ATM card had ever been requested. Not real happy about having been deprived of accessing my money for weeks and not understanding how this could have happened, I asked the current rep on the line to send me one now. As of this date, I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING. I am not even going to call back and ask for an ATM card for the third time. Why subject myself to mostly rude customer service staff who act like they would rather you just hang up than bother them with your petty little problems. I think there are competency issues as well, because my request should be pretty easily handled. Instead, I am opening a checking account now with an online bank and transferring the direct deposit of my retirement check over to them. Things have really gone downhill with this organization. Sad, but I am not going to put up with such poor service any longer.

What gets me is that Christine D. Has read every comment but only replied to the simplest ones to coddle. Lol. I was about to open an account here. But I think I'll stick with the one I got. Chase your money down and Hella Cargo will have to do. P.S. it's funny to imagine Christine reading all of the comments being like. Meh. Not that one. Meh. Not that one. Ok. This one gets a comment and our sincere apologies. Then. Meh. Not that one!!! Meh! You get the picture.

Thanks for putting my roof over my head in jeopardy! I been doing exactly what your representative have been asking of me and getting different answers and one stupid lady blamed me for it and said it's a human error! I'm the only human you talking about in this problem of mines. Because your app is messed up and can't fix it for a month and get back to me. As a high risk and your stupidity and carelessness I have to take a chance to go to a bank and get money so I don't evicted for not paying my rent. I used to love this bank especially that I have family in DWP. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER BANK (Wells Fargo/bank of America/etc) we want your money but can't help you to get it out or transfer it.

Worse banking experience I've ever had. 1st they got my address incorrect then I called to get it corrected and they told me I need to fill out a form and mail it, on their mistake. 2nd I call to ask about my direct deposit set up, I give the customer representative my account number, she tells me it's incorrect, at the end of the conversation I asked for my account number for my records and the lady repeated the same number I initially said! 3rd while I spoke with them on the phone I asked how do i go about canceling my account, I was advised I need to go to a branch, write a letter or fax them. So I go to a branch during my lunch and let the teller know i want to close my account, she said I need to wait six months to close it, since my account is new. She was very rude, didnt even say thank you when I left. And finally I requested to start deposit a certain amount in the checking account I opened with them. Turns out they did my direct deposit incorrect put my whole check in there and started a savings account! The worse bank experience, dont waste your time.

The only bank that makes you wait 2 weeks before receiving a debit card! My debit card was compromised by a person attempting to do fraud. Any other back would give you the option to come and receive a new card or have an card expedited to you in 3 days. NO IT TAKES A WHOLE 10 DAYS. If you get off of work at 5 & they close at 6 how can you have access to your money? You cant use a atm machine without a card!!!!!

I needed a copy of an old check to prove I made a payment and was having trouble using the app. I went in to the branch inside the John Ferrero building and Nadia Vallecillos and Angel Rodriguez were amazingly helpful. Not only were they able to obtain the copy of the check, they did so after going above and beyond an effort I was expecting. The level of professionalism and kindness they showed while I was stressed out will not be forgotten. They deserve a billion stars. Thanks Nadia and Angel!!!!

I would give them negitive stars if I could, their bill pay feature sucks. I post dated 2 payments because I was leaving on a trip. WPCCU processed the payments the next day causing overdrafts and 100.00 in charges... BEWARE, as they will not admit any fault and reverse the charge!!

They are the worst when it comes to customer service. They are behind on everything as well. When other credit unions offer features like debit card replacement in branches or an actual user friendly website, water and power Credit Union does not. They rely on giving DWP employees their direct deposit early is enough to have them endure the horrible customer service, lack of branches, and lack of features other credit unions offer, but it isn't, and that's why most employees do not use them as their primary bank

Worst credit union ever. Blocks card on local purchases but no issues while travelling. No communication when card is blocked. Poor customer service across the board. Card blocked currently and nobody is available to assist me. If I were in an emergency situation I would be completely screwed. This credit union is the absolute worst. Cannot wait to cancel my accounts. Terrible terrible terrible.

We just had our home equity loan with the credit union and the turn around was really fast. It only took 13 days to fund the loan considering the amount of legal documents and requirements for the loan to get approved. It was Larry Valencia and Valerie Everett who assisted us in finalizing the application. They were great in answering all our questions and helping us complete our forms. We also got a good rate and all costs waived for this loan. What a good deal! I like our Credit Union. It's as if they were built to be there for us. Thank you so much for your service to us and to the community.

Horrible service. I needed statements for a closed account which was opened 5yrs ago. The lady banker who sits on the left side when you go in, told me that she can't open my account, so she said she requested the statements(She didn't even call or ask anyone around I don't know how she requested, and the bank was empty at that time.) and will let me know when it's ready. I asked how long it takes, she said she can't give me a time frame, it takes a while. Since it was really important and I needed it immediately, I went to sunset location after this location. The lady couldn't open my account on her computer at sunset location either, but she made a call somewhere and gave me the statements within 30min and she didn't even charge for this. I should have visited sunset location instead of here since it's very close from downtown, and have a parking lot. I waisted street parking fee just to talk to lazy banker who is not helpful at all. Do not go to this location.
