The pharmacy department needs some serious training on customer service. I called to ask a very simple question and the attitude and response of the pharmacist was truly shocking. I've been coming here for years but the condescending tone and attitude when asking a SIMPLE question about filling a prescription for the past few months is not worth my business.

Terrible service from ever person who works there. They don't even look up when talking. Poor quality of items. Trash all around.

Had the worst customer service there. Walked in tonight to buy a $25 phone card. The store was empty and cashier was standing there chatting with security guard. Went over say hi and politely ask where can I find the phone card and this cashier didn't even say hi and as it I am bothering her by asking the question. She told me " At the end of aisle 4, so I went all the way the aisle 4 and saw only footwear products so I went back and told her I couldn't find it and her response was again rude and as it I am stupid and bothered to her . This time she said it's in the middle so I told her ok but you told me at the end just now that's why I didn't find it . Right away she told me open your eyes and listen. I am a 58 years old man don't need a punk a** young girl standing at the counter and telling me that especially it was her that make the mistake and working as cashier / customer service. . Totally rude and inexcusable. I went and pick up the card and she already had the attitude because I corrected her and didn't even want to look at me when I proceeded to the counter to pay. So I tossed the card at the counter and she took the money and throw it at the counter in very mean attitude so I asked her why she need to do that to me and she quickly accused me of throwing the card at her. I live in the neighborhood and shop there frequently and this is the first time I been treated so bad , humiliating way. I am looking to call the store tomorrow and talk to the manager or person in charge cause I don't want anyone have to go through this bad service by this girl who is Latina, tattooed and semi curly hair . I was looking if she has a name tag but she didn't. Very disappointing and angry treated that way tonight.

If local drugstores had a contest for the best performative art interpretation of the acronym "IDGAF", this Walgreens location would win every time. The best thing is, you get a different show with each visit. Will it be the clerk in front tallying your order whilst on a personal phone call that shoves your items your direction, or the pharmacist that can say "yourinsurancedidntcoverit" in one syllable before shooing you away from the counter? Who can say, you never know what this theater troupe will come up with.Walgreens- Come for your health care needs, but come back for the spectacle.

They say patience is a virtue. Well, I'm all out of patience with this pharmacy. My insurance cruelly forced me away from Rite-Aid to Walgreens. Since this is closest to my home, I'm now in the chaotic clutches of this pathetic excuse of a pharmacy. Every month it's the same drill. I call to say I'm out of my Xanax and they need to *manually* fax my doctor for a refill. Every month I get pharmacist asst. Lindsay on the line who smugly informs me, "we don't manually fax prescription refill requests." "But you do," I tell her once a month. "I've been coming here for years." "Uh, no we don't," she sneers, once a month. "Go ask the pharmacist, she'll tell you that you do." I'm put on hold for 10 minutes, after which Miss Lindsay comes back on the line and huffs that they'll do it "this once" for me. Like it's some grandiose favor. Today I lost all virtuous patience with this chick. Insanity is repetition. After asking to speak to the pharmacist, I told her I just couldn't get on the hamster wheel with this BS anymore. Pharmacist has told me before she'd speak to her. Guess Lindsay just keeps skipping those 'we-DO-manual-faxes' classes. After spending 20 minutes on the phone with Lindsay every month, going through the same "uh, we don't DO manual faxes" routine, I need 5 freaking Xanaxes. Sweet Jesus, take the wheel.

The pharmacist is whack 100% there was an issue with my doctors prescription and they couldn't fill it for me. When I tried to ask her (mind you after having oral surgery) she speaks over me and down to me as if I'm a drug addict. People in pain have little to no patience to tolerate being treated as such and as a pharmacist she should be versed with that knowledge. When I let her know I had a legit question to ask about over the counter solutions she said she needs to finish a call she had on hold and walks away. How is she a pharmacist with zero compassion for people who are living with pain?! I did speak to the manager and she was very sweet but the pharmacist rude.

The absolute worst pharmacists I've dealt with in my entire life. Either they are incompetent or their computer system is in dire need of an overhaul. However, you can't fix stupid. I have attempted to pick up a prescription three times now. The lines were long the first two times, and while I was first in line the third time around, I was kept waiting 15 minutes, give or take, while my ride was parked outside the building. I'd told him I'd be in and out. The drama with another customer had yet to come to a conclusion, and I waited for the lady behind the counter to figure out what the issue was with his prescription. When she finally got to me, she said there was no prescription waiting to be picked up. The automated system notified me it was ready but apparently, it was not. I was livid and left because I could not keep my ride waiting any longer. Today I called to find out if my doctor transferred my prescription to another pharmacy and was told it has been ready to pick up since the 5th. If I had not called, I would have had to call it in once again for them to refill it. I'm done with this people and using another pharmacy. The best one is LeDoux which is not as close but at least my sanity will be kept intact.

I'm giving this location 3 stars, not because of the store itself but because of a beautiful and humane employee (a woman with glasses) who made me feel served and seen. While there was only one cashier behind the counter during my check out, she allowed two people to check out ahead of me knowing that I had been there before. Even I, being the most polite woman that I am, allowed the two people to move ahead. But it did not hinder the fact that I was not served appropriately and didn't feel that I was. I'm not sure what the employee's name was, but I can only assume she was a middle-aged (late 30s or early 40s) from Latinx descent with blonde hair. She swooped in at the counter at just the right time and checked me out accordingly. It was so appreciated that I had to let her know in the parking lot right afterward. Whomever you are, I hope that you are reading this review right now and truly receive the appreciation I had to give. I'll be sure to update this post with her name on my return since I live within the area :)

Only have the time to write this review because I've been in line for over 20 minutes at the pharmacy (and am still in line). Issue isn't staffing - it's that their computers don't work. If this was a one-off it would be one thing, but it's the 3rd time it's happened in the last few months. Invest in new equipment please.

Walgreens in fine. The pharmacists here and associates do their job and are somehow still friendly. I think what people don't like here is sometimes the pharmacy can be really busy, and people get upset that they have to wait. I think the customers need to chill out and let them do their job the best they can. It's not their fault so many other local Walgreens and riteaid stores have closed. My only complaint is that the homeless people sometimes make it uncomfortable for the consumer outside in the parking lot. Also, I saw some dude shop lift once and when security went to stop him, the guy sprayed the security guard with pepper spray. People over here are crazy, but it's not Walgreens fault!

Worst pharmacy EVER. I normally go to the Walgreens on Wilshire but this one on Highland was closer to my house. I called before I went and the pharmacist told me they had my prescription in stock. When I get there an hour later they tell me they don't have it and they cannot order the medication and I need to just randomly go back and check to see if they have it in next week! What!? The Walgreens on Wilshire would hold my prescription if they did not have it in stock and order the meditation. But this Walgreens wants me to just waste my time and go in to see if they have it in stock!? Are they high? What is this 1959? The pharmacist told me this is their policy and it's different from the other Walgreens. It's all one big corporation !! LIES! It's just called being LAZY. In case Walgreens is reading this and wants to fire the pharmacist, it was the little Asian girl who looks like she just graduated from grad school. She clearly should NOT be a pharmacist and needs some more training ! I will NEVER go back to this Walgreens again!

Life lesson; ALWAYS go to CVS first. I work every day during pharmacy hours and today was a miracle i got off early, so i rushed to this Walgreens location near my work at 5pm to walk in for a vaccination. The vaccinator said they close at 7p but stop vaccinating at 5:30, so for me to "hang out in the store til 5:30 and he'll see if there is an extra vaccine." I wait and at 5:30 he told that he wouldnt vaccinate me because "he doesnt want to waste an unopened vial since they contain 5 doses and its just me who needs one." WTF?? This is so morally unethical and im sure illegal (gonna report it and follow up with this) to refuse to vaccinate someone in the height of a pandemic. And of course this wasted time made me miss my opportunity to get vaccinated at CVS during my small free window of time. Ps attached is a photo from the store of their hours in case anyone else is having trouble getting vaccinated while working full time (i tried to walk in yesterday evening). They are also unavailable on the phone to confirm availability for walk ins or even vaccination hours. What a joke!
