A good pastrami sandwich but nothing special. We shared the OG sandwich. The potato salad was good but a bit too heavy on the mustard but was better after I added some pepper.

A great, classic style Jewish deli with easy parking in a convenient location. Everything is fresh and delicious. But what I love is how unlike a lot of similar places, the sandwiches aren't enormous. You can easily finish one of these sandwiches for lunch without feeling like you are going to explode.

Honestly I don't know what I can say that hasn't already been said about this grand central staple. A great food option through and through. You honestly can't go wrong with anything but this trip I got the big poppa (an everything bagel sandwich filled with cheddar and a pastrami egg hash) and the lox bagel. Who wouldn't want to start their day with a hearty breakfast and snoop dogg

order a sandwich for breakfastThe corned beef wasn't ready first thing in the morning, so I ordered Ruskie instead, which was good.It was a simple sandwich filled with sliced (homemade?) pickles and a large amount of egg.The sourness of the pickles and the creamy egg worked against me, whose chewing ability and judgment had become impaired due to tacos and hamburgers. The store is bright and cleanCashless payment only

Bagels are pretty good. Lox is extremely salty. The "cheddar" on the Big Poppa is American (fake) cheese, not cheddar. It's yellow, not white like in the photo. Kind of ruins the sandwich. Cream cheese is weirdly tasteless.

Excellent sandwiches, more meat than bread which is how it should be. Plenty of tasty meat!Quick and friendly service too.The only downside is that their “rye” bread is not really rye. It’s light colored and looks/ tastes more like whole wheat bread spongy American style, rather than authentic dark German or Russian rye bread. And the sandwich is called Russian, ironically. Taking off one star for that.Otherwise, highly recommended.

A great Jewish deli right in the heart of Grand Central Market! GCM has so many fantastic options but when I Yelped and saw this place, I knew I had to try it. There aren't a lot of Jewish delis on this side of town! The menu is pretty simple but I got what many reviewers recommended... the OG. It was a great pastrami sandwich. Loved the potato salad. It's a little pricey at $19 but it's a generous portion. I love how you can see the cooks make it right there. Like other GCM spots, seating is hard to come by. We were lucky to score some counter seats. In general, I wish there was more seating. Overall, really enjoyed the food here. Totally recommend the OG here!

Delicious bagels that I would dream of to have again and again. The Grand Central Market is a great place for quick breakfast as such, so it was perfect. Bagel Sandwich was so good, especially the smoked sturgeon.

Hand sliced meats, cured and smoked in house, makes for some amazing bagels and sandwiches. In a location like Grand Central Market with lots of great options already, Wexler's Deli still stands out among the crowd. Picture here are two of my favorites: Lox Bagel and the Rueben Sandwich. That corned beef with the Russian dressing is a delicious combination.

Lox and bagels were very good, I’m not fond of rye bread so they put it on bun. The pastrami was all right. I prefer Tom’s burgers pastrami that’s fried and on a French roll. I won’t discount that I am not a pastrami connoisseur so this is just from a layman‘s perspective. The atmosphere was very pleasant. I enjoyed sitting at the bar. I did have to go buy a beer somewhere else because they don’t serve alcohol.

While the sandwiches lived up to the hype, unfortunately, my experience was marred by the unkind and toxic behavior of the staff. As you walk up to the counter you can see a sign requesting customers to order before seating, which seemed reasonable given the limited seating available. Eager to try the highly recommended sandwiches, my partner promptly joined the line to place our order while I went to find a seat and wait. Here's where things took an unexpected turn. It turns out that saving your party’s seat while they order is not allowed either, although this crucial piece of information was nowhere to be found on the sign. Instead of politely communicating this policy oversight, the staff took a more draconian approach. They held back our order without any explanation, leaving us waiting for over 30 minutes. For a couple of sandwiches!!What disappointed me even more was the lack of professionalism in how the staff handled the situation. A simple reminder or clarification about their policy would have sufficed, but instead, they chose to withhold our order without any communication, leaving us feeling neglected and frustrated. Hopefully, the management takes note of this and addresses the need for better customer service to ensure that every visit is as enjoyable as the food they serve.

The early morning rush wasn't too long of a wait. There was only two workers and they were fast and friendly. Pricing was decent for the amount of food and experience. About $26 for the bagel and coffee, which is normal for a delicious breakfast in California. Seating is available but limited so prepare to either get to go or find a spot somewhere in the market to eat.
