My kid attended a summer camp here a couple of times. The facilities are great - they have a swimming pool, fun outside games and activities, an event space, lots of rooms for different activities, and the food is very good.

Janice and her team at Green Mountain Retreat (GMR) were incredible hosts for our 110 person wedding! We had our wedding and reception at GMR in October 2024, with approximately 30 of our guests staying in cabins onsite. Janice was available and communicative during the entire wedding planning process and made ample time to answer our many questions and give us a few tours of the venue. Unlike many of the “corporate” venues we toured, GMR feels really special - they went above and beyond to help make our perfect wedding day dreams come true, and were extremely flexible and accommodating. Their catering team delivered a delicious reception dinner and great appetizers for our cocktail hour. Our guests who stayed onsite all agreed that their accommodations were very comfortable and enjoyed how close they were to both wedding festivities and town. Additionally, all of our vendors commented on how great the venue was and how friendly and helpful the staff were. The venue itself was beautiful and offered a variety of backdrops, which made our wedding photos awesome. We highly recommend GMR!

Staff was gracious and very helpful. Janice was a pleasure in interactions. The place has an unique history and fascinating architecture, with a Julia Morgan designed dormitory building, featuring a lovely courtyard and elegant banquet room, which accommodates very large groups, and also boasts a stage. The cabins are rustic, but updated, showing a few wrinkles consistent with their age! The Welcome Center appears to be a well thought-out modern building with a stylish dining room. The Redwood amphitheater is a hidden delight that was easily transformed into a wondrous forest glade, as a backdrop to the recitation of wedding vows. In all, the weekend spent at Green Mountain Retreat was a relaxed and incredibly positive experience. I would definitely return.

I had my wedding at Green Mountain Retreat and it was wonderful! There were plenty of cabins for all my guests to stay in, a beautiful redwood grove for the ceremony, a nice dance/dining hall, and super helpful staff! I'd recommend it to anyone for a wedding or other group event.

Beautiful grounds, large dormitory style building with a huge meeting room. It held all 100 of us easily. The food was very good at our 3- day retreat. They served us healthy breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert, and accommodated the various food allergies. The pool was a delight on a hot day. The coffee could have been stronger, and if you have any difficulty, walking up a hill, don’t stay in the cottages. The dorm was more accessible, and attached to the meeting room. It’s a beautiful setting, and I would recommend it for your casual retreat.

I had my wedding at Green Mountain Retreat and it was wonderful! There were plenty of cabins for all my guests to stay in, a beautiful redwood grove for the ceremony, a nice dance hall, great dinner buffet, and super helpful staff! Everything was prepared really well and the staff was super responsive whenever I needed anything, so I was able to just enjoy my wedding and not worry about the venue logistics at all. I'd highly recommend it to anyone for a wedding or other group event.

The setting (in Lexington Hills, CA -- who knew?) is fantastic. I was here for a large group for a symposium with talks, meals and hanging out; I liked all of the public rooms and buildings that I visited. Our food was lovingly prepared, and really quite good. There are lodgings scattered all around the property. Some of the cottages might be OK. I stayed in a dormitory-style building that apparently was some kind of monks' residence when it was first built. That was clearly long ago. My first thought when I walked into the residence was "museum of mildew." The rooms have old-style plumbing, or no plumbing at all, and what's there doesn't work all that well. My bedroom could be locked from the inside while I was sleeping but couldn't be locked for the day when I was gone. As a result, I ended up leaving my electronic devices alone in an unlocked room for much of my stay. That sure made me nervous, but there was no actual problem in the end.If it's vampires that keep you up at night, you can relax while you're at the Retreat. The crucifixes scattered around the property will keep them at bay.

Absolutely great for a company retreat, group of 25. Lots of parking, gorgeous grounds, and very helpful friendly employees. Plus the food they made was way better than expected for group meals. Would highly recommend. They even have 1 AC EV charger 30a

Beautiful place for Summer. Not suitable for winter and night time because of the road conditions (one lane each direction)
