I don’t normally post reviews, but I’m deeply disturbed by SSJ’s unfair review and wanted to share my experience as a client of 13 ½ years and nearly 2800 classes. I absolutely love everything about Pure Barre – challenging classes with a nice variety of choreography and class formats, great music, excellent motivating instructors, kind and helpful desk staff. And the extra magic is the studio’s amazingly supportive and inclusive community. Maile has been the studio owner for the past four years and an instructor for nearly eight years prior – she pours her heart and soul into the studio and all of us are so thankful for all that she does each and every day – she got us through COVID with virtual and outdoor classes (and even purchased special standalone bars to give us the best experience possible outside), hosts donation classes and matches every dollar donated by clients, supports women and minority-owned businesses with pop-up events and in studio retail. I could go on and on! So when I see someone post an extremely unfair negative review because they were late for class and unable to attend based on a policy they were made well aware of in advance (and even go to the extreme of suggesting racism), I can’t remain silent. I’ve tried other exercise studios, and nothing compares to the quality and community of Los Gatos Pure Barre – happy client for life!

Pure Barre Los Gatos has been my home since 2014. It's my place to de-stress and work on my physical and mental health. Maile, the owner, has been one of the most supportive and encouraging people I've ever met. She hand selected the most caring staff from the front desk (barre-tenders) to the instructors. Come here if you want to be a part of a welcoming community made of diverse people.Bonus: You'll sweat a ton, and leave with GLUTES.IYKYK.

You do have late policy, as other businesses do, the difference is you wouldn’t show any empathy to customers(or just me as minority) who waited a whole afternoon in Los Gatos to avoid rush hour traffic in a rainy day but not lucky enough to get a parking spot instantly.I’ve been to several different studios, this one is the worst:Yes late for 5 MIN due to no available parking spot so I had to find another parking spot nearby. I was refused because of missing warm up not able to get my best result. For this I suggested to wait and attend the next class, without a try, the reception girl immediately tell me she couldn’t find a button to operate this, so I was refused again for adjusting class. At least she could try negotiating with business owner? Before I left with disappointment, I didn’t even get a response when saying thanks and bye to her! You call it respectful? Would you treat your other non-Asian customers like this? Think about that!

I LOVE this studio. I enjoy barre but what I most like about this studio is the people who work there. As a new working mom, it was so hard for me to get back to working out but this place made the transition a bit easier for me. They are willing to move your credits to next months if you are sick or you need to take care of sick kids at home unlike other places.Trainers are amazing. They make sure you have right posture during workout. Front desk is very friendly and helpful and customer service is great!

I do a lot of reformer Pilates but tried barre and LOVED the challenge. It’s a great mix up to my Pilates routine :)

I signed up for the free intro class because I wanted to try out barre for the first time. I drove 30 minute in the rain with traffic only for the studio to be closed? I double checked my confirmation and everything to make sure I didn't get the time wrong or the class was cancelled and I missed it. I even got a reminder email just a few hours ago. I'm very confused and annoyed that I drove all the way to Los Gatos to be met with closed studio. Even if this was a free class, gas and time is a valuable resource for everyone. Very disappointed.

Great workout that delivers; the teachers are phenomenal and make sure each person is getting feedback. Everyone at the studio is nice and friendly and they have a fantastic community. People from all backgrounds, ability levels and places are welcome here. I love that the owner cares a lot about the community and about supporting good causes. Oh! And you can do this workout even if you are injured, have zero experience or if you are a professional athlete. It will challenge you at your level and it will make you stronger and more focused.

I am so thankful for this group of strong and supportive women. They work you hard and support you hard:). The owner is amazing. She cares for all her "pure barre" Family and organizes many educational and charitable events at the studio. Such a great place for your body and soul!

Took the Classic(50min) Pure Barre Los Gatos class on a whim this Tuesday night because I saw the owner Maile's name listed as the instructor. I later happily found out she's the owner! This class was exactly what I needed to reinvigorate my enjoyment of working out/workout classes after over a year and a half hiatus. Maile's class was both motivating and informative as she took us through the various motions and exercises. Her attention to her class goers was much appreciated as the woman next to me and myself were new to the studio and it had been a while since I had taken a barre class. I also heard her provide modifications for class goers that had injuries or a bad knee so that they can get the best workout without compromising their form. Overall, I really enjoyed the class and will be returning for more barre workouts! The storefront had cute barre apparel and merchandise as well! The facility and exercise equipment all seemed really clean and new. I didn't have the chance to check if there was a restroom facility but I imagine with the shopping plaza there then bathroom accommodations shouldn't be an issue. One thing to note about location is that it's under the Sephora just down a short stairway so could be easy to miss if you don't read ahead on Yelp or ClassPass for directions and additional information. Socks are required but grippy/barre socks are strongly recommended. If you're a first timer, there's barre socks there in the storefront for purchase and the total for a pair comes out to just under $20(standard for any studio).

We did a private Barre class for my sister's bachelorette and Maile really went above and beyond for our group. She had decorations up in the studio and refreshments for after, which I was not expecting, but was pleasantly surprised by. She also incorporated some songs into class that my sister had requested prior to the class. It was a great workout and we were all sore the next day. We all loved the private Barre-ty and I know that many of us who attended will be back for more classes soon. Thank you Maile for an amazing experience!

this was my first “pure barre” class, and it was amazing. The studio location is perfect and everyone was helpful to guide through my first class. The atmosphere in the studio very neat and upbeat, you would love to come here everyday for exercise. The instructor is great and she guided me well through some tough(but fun) steps. The equipments are very well maintained. I would love to visit often as I can! Keep up the good work.

I took a barre stretching class today and appreciated it a lot. I went there after a gym workout and was looking forward to stretching out my tired body. It was a recovery class and turned out to be a mini workout as well. Beautiful facility and the instructor was awesome. Note that the location is hard to find and there is no signage. You have to go down the steps into the basement next to Sephora.
