Best curly hair cut and set ever by Elsa today! I cannot rave enough about how kind and professional Elsa was, from the onset of texting what I wanted, to the final look and feel of my hair, which Elsa truly did transform! If you would like a great experience with someone who is down to earth, client oriented, and knows hair, dyes, cuts, perms, and styles, make an appointment with Elsa! I would give Elsa and Trends Salon more than five stars if I could. The salon itself was very pleasant, upbeat, clean, and stylish, and all of the other staff were very kind to their clients as well. Thank you Trends and Elsa for an exceptional experience!

Months ago because I had put on a temporary color that was too dark and I needed it lightened because I was really trying to just cover up the gray around the front of my face that's coming in. I knew I needed an ash tone and tried to remove as much of the temporary color than I could. Lisa offered to assist and then unfortunately the color came back NOT ash. Then I came back to her to try to just get some highlights around the face that would blend with the gray that's coming in around my temples and hairline so when I pull back my hair it looks normal. At that time she said she put a color that she assured me "would fade to be the gray" and it never did it became blonde! So the last time just recently I went back to her and I said I need this to go beyond the hairline it needs to match the gray that's coming in but I want some highlights on THE TOP HAIR so that it looks natural and I don't have to have touch ups. Unfortunately she misunderstood and thought I wanted highlights on the TOP OF MY HEAD instead of "the top of my hair!" So once she put the highlights on the top of my head I had a friend take a look at the rest of my hair in the back in the daylight and she said that it needed more down the back so that it looked like it matched up. I returned to the salon the same day and asked Lisa to fix it for me... Unfortunately she continued to highlight SO MUCH more of my hair only halfway down on the top layer in the back but not to the ends of my hair so there was a very distinct stop of where the highlights ended! I did not notice this before I left the salon after I had been there already several hours in the day and had no time to wait for my hair to dry. It wasn't until I got home later that I noticed once it dried how HORRIBLE this was,, threw my hair up in a bun, and ran to the drugstore to get a temporary light, brass-free brown color again. When I reached out to her about this today and told her I was disappointed, she scolded me for having used a temporary color saying I should have come back to the salon. I told her I couldn't and that I would be glad to wait until the color came out but I would feel better if somebody else assisted her in the next treatment or to refund me at least half of my money so I can go somewhere else. She got very defensive and said she was tired of explaining things to me. I therefore went online and did research about the kind of technique i wanted & sent her a video so there would be no more misunderstandings. Instead of appreciating the communication, she took offense to that and said she would NOT refund half of my money because I wasted her time and product! She then said I was bothering her and she would not take responsibility for this because I put on a temporary color. She said she would not help me even moving forward. I am SO upset by this experience...I have never had anyone do color on my hair before and I will never go back there again! She's not taking any responsibility for screwing up my hair like she did. I think she's good on haircuts but be forwarned I do not think Lisa knows her coloring technique. She might but she doesn't communicate them well if she does and does not stand by her work.

This review is for Jesse. She was super friendly however she destroyed my haircut and did the opposite of what I asked her for highlights. I showed her photos of what I wanted and it was a neutral to warm highlight a little chunky. What I got was ashy and super fine highlights that gave an ugly hue to my entire head. I had also asked her to blend a piece of my hair that was too long, she went and gave me an entire haircut. I appreciate that maybe she thought it was a favor but it was horrible. It was a disconnected cut which I intentionally had but then she went and blended all my layers making them too short and changing the angle in front. I was crystal clear on what I wanted I'm not sure how she could have gotten it so wrong. I have a friend who went to her first and also got ashy highlights. I think she likes ti do the latest trend for young girls and just does the same color for everyone. The straw was at the end when I was visibly upset and she tried to tell me it didn't look ashy or gray and it was beautiful. With all due respect, if she thought this was beautiful then she should not be doing hair. She did offer to fix it but honestly I didn't trust her, she was going to bring me toner but then wanted me to go back to get which was very inconvenient. I never asked for a dime back from her so it would have been nice if she could have been honest and also brought me the toner as she offered originally. I had to live looking 10 years older! Not fun at my age. I do not like to give bad reviews for nice people but no one should leave the salon $140 later looking like this.

Walked in without any appointment and luckily Jess was available. Fantastic haircut done by her, she was great to talk to, suggested few remedies/products for my hair and I could tell she is very seasoned in her job. Will definitely come back again

I had a beautiful highlight job by Gwen today. It was my first time here, and the salon is beautiful inside. Gwen was extremely welcoming and helped me decide what to do with my long, dark hair regarding highlights. She was friendly, warm and really took her time on my hair. I have gone to JES at this salon three times and each time have been blown away by the results. She has performed color, highlights, lowlights and haircut services on me and each one has surpassed my expectations (based on my experience with previous stylists). JES is very creative, very seasoned and a lovely person. She did my roots in such a way that when they grew in, it blended beautifully, which extended my need for root touch up to literally seven months. Her cuts are terrific and grow out even better....a sign of a professional stylist. She is patient and meticulous in doing really spectacular highlights. I can't say enough good things about Jes. I've lost track of my many friends and coworkers have complimented me on my hair each time I've gone to JES. I recommend her to anyone looking for a new hair person. I'm bringing my husband to her! No more Supercuts for him!

I used to go to a barber. I wandered into Trends 9 months ago and won’t go back to the barber. Gwen is a perfectionist. My hair never looked better. The people are very nice. My dog gets treats and I get coffee!Service: Hairstyling

I highly recommend Gwen at Trends Salon. She is excellent with senior customers and helps us to look our best. She is truly an artist and this has been her life's work for 30 plus years. She is dedicated totally to her craft and the results are amazing. She is an extremely caring and knowledgeable colorist and attends to every need of her clients' appearance. I highly recommend her cuts and color knowledge. I am very happy with my cut and my color today! Need I say she is also a very caring and kind person as well.
