Buford Star Mart is a large gas station and mini-market located along the route between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The station offers some of the cheapest gasoline prices in the area, with regular gas priced at $4.39 and diesel at $4.29. While the snacks in the mini-market may be a bit expensive, the spacious store and reasonable gas prices make it a popular stop for travelers.
This is always the place I stop. Gas is cheaper here than other stations in the area, especially if you pay with cash. It's a very quick in & out kind of place. The only thing is that the bathrooms aren't always the cleanest. There is also a large dirt area that is great if you have dogs traveling with you.
