The store is good. I come here frequently. Don't recommend the pupusas they sale in the kitchen area. They're nasty. Besides that it's a friendly store.

I been a customer for over a decade and never had an issue until they brought on to the property new security personnel very highly unprofessional security guards can not speak understandable English to explain there actions need better training and more professional security officers on property being disrespectful to any customer being a security officer is bad not just for the officer but for the business

I visited Superior Grocers #103 in Lynwood (3831 E. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd) on Father’s Day (Sunday) with my parents and my 15-month-old son asleep in my arms, and I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had.
It was my first time using the Coinstar machine. I politely asked an employee how it worked, and he rudely responded, “Read the screen.” Shortly after, the machine jammed and didn’t count several coins that had already dropped. I had to wait over 20 minutes carrying my baby for someone to assist. The same employee finally showed up, clearly annoyed, said absolutely nothing, opened the machine, reset it, and the coins that were already in there were never counted.
As if that wasn’t enough, I returned on Thursday to redeem the $45 voucher from the machine. A supervisor (with green-dyed hair) was called over by the cashier. She took the voucher, tore part of the wavy edge, and told me it was no longer valid. She told me to come back another day. When I did, they refused to help me again, offering no solution.
There was no sign or warning anywhere on the machine or in the area saying the voucher had to be redeemed the same day. No one took the time to explain anything. As a mother carrying a sleeping baby, the least I deserved was human kindness, patience, and proper communication.
This is no longer just about the money I lost. It’s about the terrible attitude, the lack of empathy, and the fact that employees acted with complete indifference, as if I had no right to even ask questions.
I’ve worked in customer service before, and I never treated anyone this way, no matter how tired or stressed I was. Honestly, it was shameful how they handled the situation.
I truly hope management takes this seriously, reviews the store cameras, and starts training their staff in something as basic as respect and human decency.

Don't buy their cakes, I asked for buttercream and it tasted disgusting. They just dumped a ton of sugar into the icing. When I complained the bakers laughed at me and said they wouldn't give me a refund unless I brought the cake back. ?! Ok...I obviously only had a piece of the cake, I had to come back home, get the piece of cake and return to the store with it. Extremely ridiculous, I had to live with the fact a passed out a piece of cake that tasted horrible to my guests who all agreed the cake tasted like it was baked by a 5 year old the Superior bakers acted unempathetic.
