I’m not sure what happens on their end but on this end of the counter, the wait time is too long. I feel like the empty seats should be filled to get people in and out faster. Also, if you use the kiosk, you’ll need to have cash. Don’t use your card it doesn’t work, though it has the option. I tried it 4 times, 3 with my card and once with my husband’s card, and all four times it said it cannot read the card. But I seen later, in my bank transactions, that it was able to read it just fine, every time, to charge for their fee. Also, the place is a bit crowded/small. Good things: the kiosk makes it faster. The attitudes of the peoples I talked to behind the counter was good. I am thankful for those things

Very bad experience, from the beginning to the end, and they spend the time talking to each other, although there are people waiting and they don't care.

Disappointed! My dad had an appointment we got there 15 minutes before appointment and got told we couldn't check in until 10 minutes before appointment time. The lady that was helping us didn't know Spanish to ask my dad the questions (since I couldn't translate since they have to ask the questions) We got pushed to the side until someone else was available. There's a lot of rude employees there.

Service was pretty quick for a dmv. Nit too much seating though. Not good for people who can't stand for very long.

Very bad attitudes on the part of some of the employees. If I am being friendly, the serving staff should also be friendly, since it would be something mutual. They should have a complaints box, where complaints can be deposited right there, with the name of the employee, when someone on the staff is being rude or racist, they were with me! Apart from the fact that they do not attend to or perform their work well.* They do not support computers when required and if you ask them for help, they get upset and respond with aggressive manners and voices.*They start talking to each other, secrete and laugh, turning to look at whoever is in the window (they did it with me on Tuesday, November 14, 2023).*They do not respect those who are already on their shift (at the window), they do not finish helping the person in what they do, when they are already assisting another person and this for me is a lack of respect. But as I already said, not everyone is bad at their job duties, of the people who have treated me only 3 have been kind, ethical and have performed their jobs as they should, with respect, class, education, equality , empathetic and who really know their work and the role they must play in the position where they are.

The people there treat you very badly, I hope they change the staff because the majority of those who work there do not have humility...

I went today 11/14 to renew my license. It was a busy especially for only being open for 30 minutes. I had an appt and took the test online. I talked to 3 people while I was there. The 1st two were all business, no smile, no how are you today, nothing. Quick smart ass answers to anything I asked. The last lady who took my photo was a pleasure. She smiled and talked to you like a human. I was watching her before I came up and she was the same with everyone. She even appeared to joke around with a few people. It was obvious she enjoyed her job. DMV and most businesses should have more people like that working or them.

I don't know where you are getting your employees, but you need to get rid of some of them or retrain them or something. To the guy who "helped" my step dad out today, you're condescending idiot. He told you guys from the start that he didn't understand computers and needed help. He had a hard time even getting someone to come and help. Then you decided to be rude, which was already unnecessary. Then, instead of asking him for his piece of mail for his address or just asking him for his address, as you know very well you should have done, you just reach for it a grab it. So, yes, he took it back. From there all you would say is he needs to calm down. When he did speak more calm, you still told him to. Then you tell him to leave and call security, which again was not needed. Then tell him chp will talk to him? For what? Because you're an incompetent moron who can't figure out how to help an elderly guy with a computer, and not just reach for his things without asking?! You're a pathetic, small little "man". Learn how to work with all kinds of people, or don't work with people. I'll be calling in an official complaint tomorrow.

My first real smooth visit to the DMV. I chose this office because of how quickly I could get an appointment to renew my driver's license. I was never originally notified by the DMV that my CDL was expiring soon. Since it was past 60 days, I was not eligible for online renewal. I had to come into the DMV. Clovis and Fresno appointments were not available for another month out and there was no way I have the patience to do a non-appointment walk-in at those locations. Luckily Madera had an opening for an appointment just 3 days later. So I arrived to my appointment 10 min early. They checked me in right away and the wait for my number to be called was about 15 minutes. Not too shabby. The clerk that originally checked me in was nice and friendly. The actual person window #5 that processed my paperwork was also very nice. The photo guy could use some customer skills training. He was very "matter of fact" and couldn't even bother to greet me "hello" or anything. But I am not going to let him knock down this review because everything else was great about it. My total time from arrival to finish was about 25 min. Which is honestly pretty fast for the DMV. This is going to be my new DMV facility.

I had to renew my DL and decided on this location. The last time I came here, it was crowded but went smoothly thanks to a kind and helpful employee. This time around was crowded and the employees were kind, although they did seem a little rushed, understandable. It took me a total of 2 hours going to 3 different stations. Not bad I suppose. All in all, it was an okay experience!
