I have never dealt with such incompetence as I had to deal with on July 16, 2018 on the morning shift. I came to this branch because I needed money transferred to my account by my mother because I just got a new job in visalia, so i needed a little help to get on my feet since I'm a new attorney. Mind you, I just opened an account with Wells Fargo because my mother suggested it (I had been one of the ones burned by the frivolous accounts that WF had been penalized for). So my mom and I went in, and the line was atrocious. People were just sitting around, while at least some of them could have taken straight deposits. My mother and I finally get up to the front, and this teller (in her 20s, Hispanic, pretty, thin, lots of eyebrow makeup) takes us before the merchant in the merchant line. First indicator she did not know what she was doing. Ok, then my mom tells her that she wants to transfer $500 into my account. The teller says she cannot do that. Then my mom says, I'll take out $500 cash and then give it to me and then I can deposit it. The teller says she cannot do that. The teller said the only way that she can do it is to make a cashiers check, and deposit in my account. I didn't want to fight with her, so I just said fine. I gave her my ID, and she said it was expired, and she could not deposit the check. I was like, "the pictures the same, I must have left my ID in another car." She said she would do it this one time, and she deposited the check. Then she tells us there's a hold on the check until midnight. So she made the check from her own bank, It never left her sight, and now you want to place a hold on it? While I was dealing with this incompetence, my mother went to ask the male manager (who was worthless too) why we couldn't transfer money if we were both there. He said that we couldn't do that. So she had to d*** it down, and asked another way. She asked, so if I had a yard sale, and had cash in my hand to transfer into my own account, you're telling me that I couldn't transfer the cash into my own account. He said she could. So then she said, if I pulled out $500 from my own account, and placed $500 cash in my daughters hands, she should be able to put it in her account. Then he finally got it, and said yes. So the male manager finally went to the incompetent teller, and told her to redo the transaction. Because she thought we "narc'd" in her, she cries out that that I have an expired license. I explained my license situation, but showed them my SS card, my official letterhead of acceptance at my new office, and I had the PIN number that lined up with my account. Furthermore, I was putting money into the account, and not retracting money, so I would not being a disservice to the true account owner if I did steal the card (eye roll). The incompetent teller stated because my name was not on the card (because I hadn't been issued my permanent one yet) she would need a valid form of ID. The male manager backed her up. Then my mother states, but she took the check the first time, so if I want to put another $500 cash in her account since the check has a midnight hold on it, I should be able to. The male manager refused to take the deposit of hard cash, and offered to reverse any overdraft fees that I got. Knowing quite well you cannot reason with individuals that have no reasonable thought process, We stopped arguing and went to The other WF in Madera where we received excellent service. My mom asked for the teller to take out $500 cash, the teller put it on the table. Then my mom slid it to me, and said she would like to deposit this. The teller looked at us like we were nuts. I placed my card in, put in the pin, and she recounted the money, and the funds were available that very minute. Whomever is running the Country Club WF needs to train their employees better. You have incompetent and inept fools running the bank. Plus, as a new customer, I was very much put off by the lack of service I receive

Love the short lines here unlike Bank of America or chase who always has one teller and gives a tremendous amount of attitude.

Yeah they didn't let me cash my check all the way through. Wanted me to deposit something to cover the check. But what I deposited wouldn't even cover the check so why would I have to deposit in the first place? I cash my checks all the time and they wouldn't let me without depositing a little bit that they just told me to go to the atm to withdraw? Come on now that just takes out more time out of my busy schedule. One of the worst branches.

I've been banking with Wells Fargo for almost 30 years and I've been to this branch three times in the last few years. They have to be about the worst WF branch around. For today's visit, I was making a simple deposit, which went fine. The difficulty was the wait for me and the other 12 guests was not just inordinately long, which happens, but the additional 3-4 WF employees walking around, laughing, and chatting (definitely not working) was very frustrating. Because of this and the previous two visits I am convinced that the cause is very poor local management, which simply does not care about their customers.
