Our driver is always professional. Closes the gate after entering, is watchful for our dog. We appreciate the thoughtfulness.

Update: for anyone having issues with this company, go directly through the WeCare email. They finally broke down the usage meter readings for me and helped me understand them better. Looks like our AC/Heating unit is the issue, which makes sense for a property that used to be a rental and probably was just updated with the cheapest appliances. Went physically to the Madison office to set up payment and the front desk staff was really helpful, nice, and apologetic about the situation. No other company will touch our propane situation since the tank is right now located does not meet requirements, so we would have to pay thousands more to reroute the gas pipes and the tank would have to be in the middle of the small back yard.. so that’s another issue itself. Overall the situation sucks but the help we’ve received more recently to resolve the issue and set up payments was so much better than what we got over the phone.
——
We went to the office to ask what needed to be done after purchasing our home in Madison with a propane tank. We were told that a service worker would contact us when the tank needed to be filled up. It’s now 6 months after, apparently we’re leasing a metered tank, which means no we don’t get the tank filled up every 6 or so months like we were told, we are supposed to be getting billed every month for whatever the meter says we use. Which means we have not been paying the bill and they shut off our gas without notice because they were giving notice to the old residents. Now we owe $2,600 for the past 5 months. Best part of it is, we got a monthly break down and apparently used up 229 gallons in one month, equivalent to almost $1k? In a household of 2? I understand winter is more expensive but using 200+ gallons a month? We live in a duplex, how would we use most of the tanks inventory without it affecting the other tenants?? When I called to ask about refills since it seems like at that rate the tank has to be refilled completely at least 2 times a month for a duplex they gave me the run around and said I didn’t have to worry about it since it’s leased and they take care of maintenance and refills. After more back and forth with me trying to figure out how we were spending almost the whole tank a month ourselves I was told the prices fluctuate and they refill every month to keep the tank above 20%. We saw the service workers multiple times, asked how it was going, they always just told us the total fill of the tank “oh good, you guys are still at 75%” as if, again, we didn’t have to worry about payment or refilling until it was almost empty. Nobody said anything about monthly metered readings, nobody said anything about late payments, nobody said our reading were high, nobody tried to leave a notice at the door, someone just walked into our back yard one day and locked our valve. Customer service is no help, so looks like we can’t even figure out the months where our readings were high (126 gal, 229 gal, 140 gal). Yea we used the heater, but we would turn it off when we weren’t home or when we didn’t need it and used electrical heaters. We can’t even prove the readings are correct since they don’t want to help us figure out if maintenance and fills increased due to an increase in usage.

This company will gladly take your money, charge you extra fees without proper explanation or providing a break down of what fees were charged, and tell you that you are on schedule for delivery but cannot provide you with a delivery date. The only thing they can say is I'm sorry, I understand, and there is nobody we can escalate this to. Still no ETA on when I will get my refill and they took my money 10 days ago. Unacceptable and terrible customer service... Update 1/30. As of this morning my delivery was scheduled for 4:32pm. It is now 9:50pm and still no delivery. Going on 14 days and well outside the promised delivery window... Update 1/31. As of this morning, their site stated I should expect my delivery by 8:55am. At 9:30am I sent an email to the address below provided by the owner explaining the terrible customer service experience and asking when I should expect delivery. The propane was finally delivered at 10:45am.. here is the email response I got from Tammy Sanders below "We apologize for the delivery delay. This area is experiencing high delivery demands at this time. Our records indicates the driver delivered 150 gallons to your home today" - no apologies for their terrible customer service model or lack there of customer service. Long story not so short, take your money elsewhere to a local propane company. This corporation can care less if you freeze your you know what off because they cannot deliver on time.

When it was Viking Propane, it was great. In 2020, they permanently shut down their offices to the public and switched their phone system to Ferrelgas. They don't answer the phone and their hold sound tortures me with people talking by faking me out that someone is there for a half hour so I can't wait peacefully and then suddenly hangs me up after over a half hour! I have "keep full" (otherwise a giant $75 charge for propane) and they don't keep full this winter. On the other hand, their Livechat eventually answers which is positive to have.

This used to be Viking Propane (who was awesome), the customer service is still good as it's (as far as I know) the old employees. However, my gas rates have increased froom $50 a month with Viking to over $100 and it's SUMMER, when the heater is not running. I called to inquire as to why the price hike and it was pretty clear that it was because this is no longer a local company, but corporation squeezing profits. I'll be switching away from Ferrellgas as soon as I'm able.
