I don't have anything against this location in particular, but Bank of America is a nightmare. I often deposit large checks for $40,000 and the checks always clear the next day. Recently, I made a deposit for $38,000 and they put a hold on it for 11 days. This is absolutely devastating for a small business. I've gone to the local branch and called their 800 number multiple times and there's nothing they can do. The woman on the phone is as very sympathetic and said this happens all the time. She said she has repeatedly tried to change this problem and is repeatedly ignored by her superiors. For those who are curious, my client (who wrote the check) put me in touch with his bank, who confirmed that the $38,000 was removed immediately from my client's account. So B of A has the funds and won't release them. That makes zero sense. This is bad banking, plain and simple.

Absolutely do not go here, the manager Maita Avila. I believe she's a scammer, she tried to get way more information than necessary to verify my account. I repeat do not go here, your information can be sold by her.

Would give the entire staff 10 stars ⭐️ if that was possible. I was so glad when BofA reopened the Malibu branch post remodeling. Could not be happier with how I am treated, with how all of my problems/difficulties are addressed and then resolved. I can unreservedly recommend this branch.

Very unprofessional experience with a teller named Jason Gorenstein who really overstepped his boundaries with myself and my husband a few months ago. Fortunately the issue was resolved by another person who worked at the bank who overheard the unnecessary questions he was asking us concerning how we make our money etc . She stepped in and explained to him that what he was doing wasn’t okay and gave us the help that we needed . He barely looked us in the eye or acknowledged us the entire time but wanted to question how we have the amount of money that we do and it was so inappropriate and uncomfortable .I can confirm that the other reviews about them making you uncomfortable when you’re dealing with certain amounts of money is true. I am considering filing a formal complaint to BOA concerning the incident . This is Malibu , so I wasn’t expecting that kind of behavior . It’s not okay and made me feel uncomfortable to return to this branch much less bank with the company. Hopefully someone can address this person and get them to understand .

The worse bank I ever been , they are so rude, bad attitude, helpless, walk in to this bank makes me feel uncomfortable, it's no the feel you expect to have as a client , from your bank you expect a good treatment, walk in to your bank should feel like you are walking in to your home...80% percent never be able to complete a transaction, they never willing to help.....I'm so tired of this bank, I never want to ever go there again, that bad is the service...

Contrary to what is being posted, they do answer their phone. Giselle walked me thru the process for changing ATM withdrawal limits. Great customer service.

Unfortunately I had horrible service in here today while trying to withdraw funds from my account. The bank teller was incredibly rude. I had to speak to a manager who did apologize profusely but the whole situation was uncalled for.
