I am 71 year old disabled person with limited upper body mobility. I also have a legal Service Animal, who is certifed to assist me. I was aggresively confronted by an employee demanding I must pick up my dog and hold him. I offered to show her my documents explaing and confirming my physical & legal need for him. She aggresively told me it didn't matter & had to carry him. I again offered to show my legal documents but she responded saying "we don't do that here -pick him up & carry him , that's our policy". A kind shopper observed my distress & offered to carry him for me! I was beside myself, I was humiliated & shocked that I was treated with such direspect & lack of compassion. Its not easy for a person who has disabilities to naviagate like others and to be treated so mean because I have special needs was awlful. I will also be reaching out to the owners in hopes that others wiĺl not go through the same distress. Hopefully the employees will be trained & well informed about authorized SA.'s & the Disability Act.S.A.'s & the Di

A good priced thrift shop worth seeing. I left my wallet there and was returned to the police station who contacted me that the staff found it. Everything intact. Thank you

Every so often you can find something cool here, but be prepared to deal with the grimiest people in there

All of the folks giving one star reviews for this thrift store.... go back to LA. The cast-off staff has the sweetest staff ever. Just because they ask folks to wear masks and sanitize because of the reality that older folks are more likely to experience averse health effects from covid, does not warrant a one star review and you calling them rude. I have been coming here for 8 years and have never once had a bad interaction with the staff. In fact, this is one of the nicest and consistent thrift stores I have been to in the entire country. If you're a person that is sensitive to confrontation, probably because you were doing something entitled and/or rude, then you have a few options: you can opt out of visiting remote locations that do not adhere to your yuppie lifestyle and needs, stay at your air bnb and save the trip to the thrift store, or consider the implications of your attitudes in public spaces and your interactions with people who may not share your privileged perspective on life. And for anyone else who is decent and has a soul, visit the cast off! It's incredible!!

Very rude employees/volunteers not worth it, whoever runs this store needs to get their house in order, this is no way to run a business. So many bad reviews you would think they would take notice even if it is a charity.

Extremely busy even though it was only five minutes past opening. Didn't find anything, but they had a decent variety of used clothes, housewares, antiques, skiing/snowboarding gear, etc.

We've been going to Cast Off for years. It's a fun place to go to because of all of the unexpected treasures at incredible prices. Volunteers manage everything. All proceeds go to Mammoth Hospital.
