What is with taking 2 years to revamp 1 building? There are 9 buildings over there so.... 20 year project? Hi I live across the street and this whole government pork barrel project is absolutely ridiculous, not to mention the trash running the project; I should have written this review a few weeks ago when him and his 1 legged ol lady were having a screaming match back and forth across the street and there was a baby and a stroller involved. Honestly I'm just trying to live here and mind my own business but the constant construction site a couple hundred meters from my front door is needless to say a nuisance. And this review is finally getting written because not only is it the hours of snow removal, construction racket, white trash public fights, now there are workers blasting their music all day that I hear clear as day in my home where I pay rent. Does anybody over there have an ounce of decency to tell their contractors to be respectful and maybe turn it down a notch? In conclusion, your organization is an obnoxious, disrespectful, waste of money bogus project with zero oversight. 0/10

My mother had sustained a serious knee injury a number of years ago (torn ACL and meniscus). Recently, she re-injured the same knee. She realized that the ski season was over for her and thought that she would possibly never ski again. Then, I discovered Disabled Services Eastern Sierra. With the help of their adaptive equipment and awesome staff, my mother’s slope time was restored. A huge shoutout to this awesome organization for the job they are doing in bringing joy into the lives of people like my mother and so many others. These people make dreams come true. Many of their staff our volunteers and selflessly give so that others can get. The staff is very accommodating. They bend over backwards to help you. All of this is done at a very reasonable price (so don’t forget to tip well). This is a 5 star, A+, over-the-top organization. 10/10 would recommend!

I absolutely love this program. After spending all day Saturday with instructors Ross and Ryan and all morning Sunday with my instructors Linda and Shawn, I was beyond amazed with their knowledge, guidance and encouragement. I had 24 total runs, 19 of them clean, and 5 falls. I went 10/10 on Sunday with no falls, which I largely attribute to Linda’s ability to teach my tactics that continued to grow my independence and ability. As a guy who has limited use of my left limbs, I never thought I’d ever ski. Then, during Christmas 2018/New Year’s 2019, my wife convinced me to learn how to ski alongside our young daughters. While I first caught balance on skis then, I haven’t skied since, until the Disabled Sports Instructors helped me achieve milultiple personal breakthroughs this New Year’s weekend. They truly amazing and I can’t thank them enough. In the words or Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator Arnold, not Governer Arnold) “I’ll be back.”

DSES is basically a group of angels. This fantastic non profit aims to help those with impaired abilities to get out on the slopes and shredding. If you or anybody you know has a disability of any kind and want to experience the slopes get in touch with DSES!

If you have a child with special needs and want them to try skiing this is the place to go. His instructors were amazing. I met other volunteer instructors during his session who seem just as amazing and knowledgeable. My son got the boots on and walked in them with no problem (behaviors). He put the skis on and tried those out. I thought we would be spending most of the time trying to get him use to the boots (that would’ve been okay). I’m very grateful that my son had this opportunity and look forward to seeing them again. Great confidence builder. I really can’t say enough about how great the experience.
