Dear Alo Team,
I recently visited your Manhattan location to return an item I had previously purchased from that same store, which unfortunately had defective stitching. I was grateful that the store management assisted me with an exchange — their support was much appreciated.
However, I had a disappointing experience with the cashier handling the transaction. She informed me that due to a difference in area code from my original online order, there was a minor tax adjustment of $0.66. I had no issue paying this amount. However, I had already explained to her that the defective item I was returning today was originally obtained from their store.
Despite this, the cashier repeatedly gave me the same explanation in a rude and dismissive tone. The interaction escalated unnecessarily, and instead of helping resolve the confusion, she told me to just leave and that “it was fine.” I expressed that I wasn’t trying to cause trouble but was simply seeking clarification, as the explanation did not make sense to me.
As a loyal customer, I expect respectful and helpful service when visiting Alo locations. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience at your Manhattan store. Your team plays an important role in representing the Alo brand, and their professionalism matters greatly.

I went in with a specific set I wanted to buy. I showed the workers and asked them if they had it in stock since online it said it was. I waited and nothing was happening. I then went to ask and they rudely tell me they don’t have it. Then I asked for another item, I wait, nothing happened, then I asked and the worker tells me “I forgot to check” walks away and goes to check after I had been waiting. They have no customer service skills and made me feel like they didn’t want to help me because of the color of my skin or my body type. They were being helpful to other females but not myself. I don’t appreciate this when I am a paying customer. Will not be shopping at this store any longer.

Val and Comfort were amazing and super helpful! This was my first time at Alo and these two girls have set the bar high! I will definitely be back at the Manhattan Beach, CA location.

I never write reviews but I have to say how rude the associates are. They are the least helpful and lazy people and they’re too busy having personal conversations at the front about “ghosting guys” instead of doing what they’re being paid to do. Time and time again I’m disappointed by the service here time to start buying online to avoid rude sales people and immature behavior. Those girls dgaf and it shows…

Gunner greeted me as I walked in and was super friendly, helpful and awesome! He asked if I was looking for anything specific and also looked for sizes when I showed him what I was looking for. I was able to purchase a new vest that matches my outfit. Everyone in the store location was so nice, the employees on the floor, in the dressing room and at check out. There was also no line and everything in the store was spotless and perfectly organized so it was easy to find what I wanted, so thank you for everything !

Great staff! Located right across one of the parking garages! The plaza is really nice too. Everyone here was really helpful. Certain styles or colorways can be popular so if there isn’t something available in your size they’ll help you find it online or at the closest store. Flo was really helpful - I was greeted immediately when I walked into the store. I learned a lot about the brand which wasn’t expected. They have some cool supplements, skincare products and great workout fits which is great if you’re in your fitness journey. Sprinkles is next door if you want to get that one last cupcake in before going to the gym in your new workout fit…

Went to the store to try a pair of tights which they didn’t have in stock. And tried to explain to the sales person 5 times in different ways that I wanted to try a similar style pair, different color, just so I know what size I am. She was super rude, smirking in my face, and just simply could not be bothered to help saying she didn’t understand.
Then someone else came and looked over at us, rudely, and not even offering to help. So very disappointed that I don’t even want to wear this brand any longer! 👎

Amazing! There were not many people working when I came by, and they helped me pick out some great styles. I only come in once in a while but has been pleasant and consistent each time.

Walked into the store looking for a particular item that said was in stock in manhattan location . Dismissive and condescending attitude from one of the staff members in the front by the door . Staff member told my husband that next time he should call to check if an item is in stock instead of driving down .

I spent time circling the store, it wasn’t busy and the employees just walk right past you.
Even one of them straightened a few items in my face, and never spoke to me.
