If you’ve ever wondered how to bring joy, flavor, and a touch of magic into your kitchen, you need to attend Jan’s cooking classes at Williams Sonoma in Manhattan Village, Manhattan Beach. Every Sunday at 11 AM, Jan delivers more than just recipes—she delivers an unforgettable experience.
I’ve had the pleasure of joining two sessions in a row, and I can honestly say I’m hooked. Last week’s Herb and Garlic Frittata was an aromatic, savory dream, simple yet elevated in every bite. This week’s Strawberry Shortcake was absolute heaven. Light, fresh, and bursting with flavor. You leave feeling inspired and excited to recreate everything at home.
But what truly makes these classes special is Jan herself. She is approachable, personable, charismatic, and truly a joy to learn from. Her energy is contagious. She explains each step with clarity, passion, and a warm smile. She lights up the entire store and brings so much heart to each session. And yes, she is absolutely gorgeous too—inside and out.
Thank you Jan for making Sundays something to look forward to. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or just starting out, these classes are a must. I can’t wait to return next week.

They’re awesome at making the sale but when my $1700 espresso machine glitched, they said they couldn’t help me because it had been 30 days.
It had been 33 days.
They told me to google Breville and ask them for help.

Excellent customer services. During the holidays one of their associates was so kind, honest, and welcoming. She walked me through a ton of options and even brainstormed ideas with me. A real jewel during the holidays. And, at the end, she made me an espresso- I was very low on energy. Thank you again!

I recently had an extremely frustrating experience at this location. After waiting in line, the cashier redirected me to another line without explanation. When I finally reached the front of the second line, a third cashier interrupted to search for a product for someone not in line. The second cashier, who was supposed to assist me with my return, allowed this and engaged in a lengthy training session with the third cashier, all without offering any apology for the delay. Meanwhile, the original line I was in had already served over ten customers.
This experience reflects a significant lack of organization and respect for customers’ time. I hope Williams Sonoma addresses these issues to prevent others from facing similar frustrations.

Excellent service!
Andrea and Valencia were so incredibly kind and helpful to me when I was running late for a wedding and needed to grab a gift quickly! They wrapped the gift beautifully and provided me with a card to attach to the gift. I very much appreciate them!

this store has everything you need for the kitchen, upscale to essentials. The workers are always helpful when you need to find something. The store is always stocked and clean.

I went in to make a purchase and was assisted by Marissa, assistant manager at the Manhattan Beach store. She seemed so attentive at first. Then I asked for help with my rewards account. She was looking into my purchase history and was eager to get the situation settled, but told me she needed to check with another office and would get to me. She took my information and gave me hers. She told me to email her if I didn't hear back. I never heard back, so I emailed her. Her response was so unprofessional and she gave me a number that was of no help. When I emailed her back, she never responded. Awful customer service! I am a regular WS customer. I'll really think twice about spending my time there again. Shame on you Marissa!

The assistants were very helpful, not pushy but waited for you to approach them. They were very knowledgeable about their products and could not do enough to please you.
