I moved from Santa Cruz to Manteca nearly 2 years ago. I loved my Home Depot in Santa Cruz...... Manteca's Home Depot? Not so much. I have used the Curbside and Order Pick Up inside recently. OMG. Save yourself the aggravation. I waited 20 minutes for Curbside, I had to finally call them to bring my order out. "They never received confirmation that I was outside waiting for them". Today, I figured I would save myself the troubl and have my order ready inside for me to pick up. I received online notification that my order was ready to be picked up. I went to the store. NOBODY WAS AT THE ONLINE PICK UP ORDER DESK, first of all. So I went and got in the other line, which I should not have. I went back to the correct area and still nobody at the desk. So I asked where I should be going (like the Cashiers didn't see me going back and forth????) to pick up and finally someone offered to help me. They went and got my bag, brought it back and it was too small of a bag to be my complete order. I showed the cashier my order receipt I printed from home. She looked at it and said this was what she had and if I wanted the rest of the items, I could go get them myself. WHAT???????!!!!!!!!!!! She was serious! The items that were not in the bag were nowhere to be found. I checked SKU numbers, model numbers. Nothing on the shelf sku tags was matching what I had ordered online. I asked an older gentleman in the Paint Dept to help me find it and he didn't even know how to look on the SKU shelf tag to match it up to the model number on the packaging. So, back to the Order Pick Up desk, which now had an actual person sitting there. I showed her my order, she looked up the two items that I could not find. One of the items showed that 5 were in stock, but she "didn't know where the item was to put it in my bag", that it had probably been removed from the shelf. The other item, Model # HDXGRFB1 Store SKU # 1005077088 doesn't even have a SKU tag on the shelf for it. If that is the case, then why is the item being shown as available to purchase? Remove it from that store's inventory list. Same with Model # 24301PGP-F-DA Store SKU # 1000541649 that shows online that there are 5 in stock, but whoever picked my order decided to not go a little further to find where those 5 in stock items were located? I am an elderly disabled person, so the last thing I want (or should) to do is walk up and down aisles looking for items that are not even there. Since Staff seems to not really care about the type of Customer Service they are providing (I'm sure it's because they're understaffed and just are barely managing with the lack of help), it's time to start looking around for a new hardware store to shop at. I cancelled my order and left the items with the person who was working at the Order Pick Up Desk. I expect to see the reversal of charges promptly on Monday or I will be adding an update to my yelp review about how my cancelled order wasn't handled correctly.

Don't rent a carpet cleaner from them. All it does is leave your carpets soaking wet and doesn't even clean the carpets. Tried to talk to home depot about it because we thought we had a defective carpet cleaner (used theirs before and worked well). They refused to help or make it right. Told use we could just rent the machine again... right. Let's rent the defective machine again. Over all rude and not helpful. Save your money and go elsewhere. Photos are of after and carpet was pretreated. Waste of time and money.

No one available the help, when I ask questions they don't know the store and what's available. Waited 30 mins for someone to open a gate to get product I want to buy. After going to customer service twice.

Attention Kevin, I asked who is the store manager and the kids/employees told me your name. I asked them if they could please help me as I couldn't find a flat cart. I was told to go find one myself. I told them I'm making a large purchase and could they bring the racks up front for me then? Now they told me again to find my own cart. So my husband walked off to go find a flat cart while the two young men stood there talking about their Thursday night tomorrow when they all go out to party and who should drive! My husband walks back with a flat cart and they said oh we can help you load it. My husband said no it's ok I'll do your job and my job too! I took a picture so you could see basically the purchase which was over $1300.00.Oh I guess I should tell you I was told I could just order this online, and my response was or I can just start shopping elsewhere and then they won't need employees like you. Very disappointed!

If an item is recalled then take it off the floor. I came to the garden register with 2salt bags. Youngster at the register told us she can't sell the item to us because of a recall. We paid & requested for a different brand be brought to us since it was on the other side of the warehouse. WHY should I walk all the back when management should have removed the recalled item from the floor so that customers are not bringing them up to purchase. We overheard another youngster employee complain to the register that we should go get the bags ourselves. WOW. You expect us to fix your mistake? I don't think so. A bunch of LAZY ASS people work at this location.

I have not had a specifically bad experience with the Manteca Home Depot but it has not been especially good either. I find them to be slightly less stocked then some other locations such as the West Stockton store or the Modesto store. Finding help if you need it is hit and miss and the employees are not particularly knowledgeable. Do your own research. Then again I do not really expect a big box store employee to be an expert. Lately I have been spending a little bit extra and going to smaller locally owned hardware stores such as zylstra's in Linden and Ace hardware in Escalon. The extra 5 to 10% is worth it for the service in my opinion. I have also been buying other items online when I cannot get them at the smaller stores. This is basically my go-to for construction lumber or other items I cannot at the small store and do not have time for delivery. In short, I give it three Stars which I basically considered to be neutral.

I been there twice this week and both times inventory has been of and I'm not talking about an item that shows 2 on hand. Both items have shown over 10 or more , store literally had 4 employees searching for items that could not be found. This store is a self serve store and employees depend on pictures to know what your talking about.

I walked into this Home Depot, found what I needed and proceeded to the check out where 7 employees were in the general area. 1 person was checking out the 10 people in the line. After going through the check out and arriving to install a security door, that was new in the package, it had a nice baseball sized hole in it. I returned to Home Depot to make the return. I've asked for a manager and had not spoken to one. It's pathetic that Home Depot has products on the shelf that are damaged and not returned to vendors. I don't care what Home Depot's issue is or policy but to allow a customer to take so many damaged products home?? I would avoid this Home Depot!

They're always friendly and helpful at this location, which makes a difference nowadays. And they have a bunch of holiday or "Christmas plants right now at relatively good prices!

We ordered supplies for a project and needed them delivered for a delivery charge of $79. We received the wrong item and when we wanted it picked up (20 foot PVC won't fit in my car), they said it'd be a $79 fee. Definitely feeling ripped off! I would give zero stars if I could.

Love this place. Lot of options and helpful staff. Sometimes the lumber section has no one for help.

Terrible customer service. I asked someone for help and she told me she would get someone else. No one ever showed. Only bright spot is the parking is pretty easy at this store.

The only big box hardware store in Manteca. They carry most of the stuff needed for construction and or home repairs. Most staff are knowledgeable but the checkout is ridiculous. Line sometimes get too long and they just rely too much on self checkout while having too many clerks just standing around watching customers struggle with the self checkout counters. They also are forcing veterans to sign up on line for discounts which involve making copies of retired military ID. It's illegal and against federal law to copy military IDs.

Negative star ....Don't buy here, the lady manager is very rude, unprofessional, she won't help you with your problem.. unless she keep blame you, very lazy.. She even keep transfering you to her associate so she won't deal with the customer problem.. Wasting paying these kind employee especially a manager that not worth it.. thumbs down
