Probably the best overall auto mechanic shop I've ever been to. So they offer a mobile service. That's how I found out about them. They drove to my house to fix my son's car. They replaced the head gasket in a few hours and it runs like new. So I had a similar issue but I had it towed to Manteca so they could do more extensive testing.They identified the problem and were able to fix it in a day.They were so helpful and professional and friendly. They also give you a 1 year warranty on their work! Who does that nowadays? Amazing! They back up their work. So this is what happened. I took my prius to a local shop and they told me my head gasket was bad and needed to be replaced but then they followed up by saying there was something wrong with the valves so I'd be better off junking my car because I needed a new engine which would cost between 8 and 9 thousand dollars. So I sent the pics they took to Gassket Masters. They asked me to bring it there. After they did all the tests it was just the water pump that needed to be replaced. However, since Priuses have an issue with the head gaskets going bad after 10+ years I opted to have them replace that too as well as do a full tune up. It only costed me $2050. And it runs like new. Way better than a new car payment right. So if you don't trust your mechanic I highly highly recommend Gasket Masters.

These mechanics clearly know what they are doing. You won't find better service for a better price. They seem to genuinely enjoy cars and enjoy working on them.
This all being said, if money is no object, then another shop may be more in line with expectations.
If I had another Prius with a failing headgasket, I would take it here.

I took my car 2013 Prius on May 30th to have the head gasket replaced due to vibrations on start ups. Manuel helped me he is very knowledgeable and explained the work before hand. Price is very fair. Till this day problem was fixed and no issues. I would recommend taking it there if you have a Prius and need the head-gasket replaced.

CT200H cylinder 3 code which happened to be a head gasket issue. Hector/Manuel were patient and were real thorough with explaining and setting up expectations. They replaced the head gasket in half a day. Shout out to Andrew who did the replacement and Julian. Great honest people!

Took my 2019 Prius Gen 4 Eco L to Gasket Masters this morning. I’ve admittedly been behind on maintenance, so when I noticed coolant loss and poor heater performance, I feared the worst—likely a blown head gasket. After repeatedly topping off coolant, I mentally and financially braced myself for a costly repair. I even opened a 0% APR line of credit to cover the potential expense.
The tech—Manuel or Emmanuel (apologies if I got that wrong)—spent a solid hour carefully inspecting the car. To my surprise, he concluded it might not be the head gasket after all. He mentioned a known Gen 4 issue involving a faulty heat exchanger, which can cause coolant loss due to catalytic converter issues. A previous customer had told him about a Toyota warranty tied to California emissions laws.
I called Toyota and confirmed: it’s not a recall, but under California Emissions Warranty, the heat exchanger is covered for up to 150,000 miles or 15 years. If the dealership confirms it’s the covered issue, they waive the diagnostic fee. If not, you’re stuck with the bill and still without answers.
Gasket Masters was awesome—honest, professional, and didn’t charge me anything for the inspection. Meanwhile, the dealership quoted me an outrageous price just for diagnostics and wanted even more for a head gasket job. Other shops were quoting $5-6k. Gasket Masters? Closer to $2,250 depending on what’s needed. Way more reasonable.
Highly recommend them. If you visit their Manteca location, use the Dutch Bros entrance—Google Maps tries to send you through a sketchy back alley.

This review is for Allen, Gasket Masters and the hybrid car clinic in Roanoke, TX. Very efficient, professional and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about Toyota Prius engines. Stayed late until I arrived in town. Worked on my vehicle even though he was very sick. Replaced head gasket and number 1 rod in very fast manner. Restored my engine to like new. Very affordable would HIGHLY recommend Allen from Hybrid Car clinic, Gasket Masters in Roanoke, TX. I am very grateful for Allen and his services. Thank you.

I had a visit from the mobile unit last Friday to replace the engine in my Prius 3. Scheduling was quick, the guys arrived as arranged and the job was finished in two hours. It was a quick, affordable and no hassle experience. I was back on the road that day satisfied that Prius experts had taken care of my ride. I highly recommend!

It's such a great place to get extra life out of your generation 3 prius
Guys were super nice and friendly. Long drive to get there...4 hours from Reno each way. Would love to open a franchise in Reno, as I was so impressed with their work. Thanks, Gasket Masters.

Unprofessional and will not communicate. I’m sure they have good services but to not respond to customers is not right. They offered to come to another state to do work and when the day came for them to do the work they ghost me and continue to give me fake dates to when they would come. They eventually stopped calling me and when I called it would ring till voicemail. Beware of lack of integrity.
