Horrible food. Garlic shrimp supposed to be the healthier option according to the menu but itv was swimming in oil, so much so, that it spilled inside the bag and on everything in the bag. It seems they combined the meaning of healthy with salt less because even after soaking lots of oil off the fork full I tasted it just tagged like garlic oil with no salt. So disappointed bcuz L&L was my first intro to Hawaiin food when I can to Cali. Don't waste your time people. Go to ONO instead. Slap the Kalua pork was dry and hard. The pork Lau Lau had no salt either and that's definitely not in the healthy menu. If there was 0 stats is still try to give negative stats. That's how annoyed I was with spending $70+ on food that had no flavor and swimming in grease. If this is how you do Hawaiian foodin Southern California L&L you will surely go out of business. Mau you treasure your own food and figure it out. Nevertheless I will NEVER spend money at your location again!

What are the worst experience I’ve ever had at L and L Hawaiian over a chicken cat soup plate the cook and the manager threw the food on the plate. The chicken cashew was even stacked properly. It looked like I only had half the serving that I normally did I’m gonna continue going to the one in Gardena. The LNL wine in Gardena has me spoiled in the LNL wine. Please don’t go here you’ll be strong, disappointed, if the management wants to get in touch with me to take this down, please understand. I drove 15 minutes to get that and I know I should’ve drove 30 minutes to Gina and got it.

Beware. This place is still overcharging people. Make sure you asking them how much does the food cost. I know that it has the price on the menu. But it isn't correct. And they won't you know until you get your receipt.

I'm conflicted between this chain and Ono. First off, the food is amazing. At least what I ordered, which was the teriyaki beef plate. It was tender, flavorful, and a pretty large serving. This is your typical hawaiin bbq with hawaiian music playing, license plates and surfboards on the walls, and just the hawaiian bbq ambiance. Although it was small and not a place I'd want to eat in at, it was clean. Service was alright. I could barely understand the lady behind the counter, but she seemed friendly, and the cook seemed happy, so maybe that made the food good. The BIGGEST UPSET is the PRICE. I paid just under $22 for my teriyaki beef plate. I could get the same thing at Ono Hawaiian BBQ for $13 taxes included with similar taste and portion. For the price, I'd rather get 2 plates at Ono vs 1 plate at L&L. Honestly, I probably will not be back due to pricing.

This was my first time here. The place wasn't busy when I went. It was clean and a typical Hawaiian BBQ place with Hawaiian music playing and a surfboard on the wall. There's a free parking lot right out front. I noticed the menu items were pricier than usual Hawaiian bbq. The service was friendly and after ordering at the counter, we only waited a few minutes for the food. I got the healthier plate BBQ chicken with brown rice and salad. It was tasty, but costs nearly $20. For that price, a bit more chicken would have been nice.

I've been a fan of L & L for a long time. I used to drive to the one in El Segundo, before I knew about the one on Pico & Lincoln in SaMo, but that one closed a few years ago. When the location on Lincoln & Maxella opened I was happy because it's less than a mile from my home, and for the first few years, I would go maybe once or twice a month, and the quality was consistently good. Ultimately it's "fast food" so my expectations were commensurate with that fast food label, but the last few times I've visited, the quality of the food has been disappointing, and the prices have gone up (more on this later). My 8 yr old and I usually share a Hawaiian BBQ chicken plate (it's more or less "teriyaki" chicken with 2 scoops of white rice and 1 scoop of mac salad - a classic combo), and a regular BBQ chicken plate is more than enough for us both. But yesterday I was craving the bbq short ribs, and my daughter wanted to try to their chicken katsu. Our visit was at about 5:30 PM, and there was nobody else in the restaurant. We placed our order and 5 minutes (or less) later, it was ready. I usually check to make sure everything looks good before leaving the restaurant, but I forgot to do so on this occasion. My bad, and I really regret doing so. When we got home and opened the containers, I saw some VERY dried out and overcooked chicken katsu. It looked like it was leftover from a Hawaiian BBQ buffet that had been prepared for lunch that day (side note - the portion was HUGE, but who cares if it's not good?). It didn't appear to be freshly cooked at all. My daughter took two bites and didn't want any more. My short ribs were also overcooked and dry and I threw them away. The rice & mac salad were fine, so we both filled up on those, but the expensive (over $42 for two plates) proteins were inedible. I really hope the owner (is it still John?) is able to make changes that allow this place to stay open and serve freshly prepared, delicious Hawaiian BBQ food the way it was served when I first visited L & L over 10 years ago, but in the meantime I'd rather drive a little further to Ono Hawaiian BBQ at Westfield Mall in Culver City the next time I get a craving...although L & L's Mac salad is WAY better.

Just got one of their beef bowls for $11, looked like a children's meal, total rip-off, smallest bowl I ever got, this place has become ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food, won't be

Honestly, the best L&L i've ever been to (between the Bay and LA). Came here around 2pm on a Sunday and it was empty but super clean and spacious. Our food came out in a reasonable time, but my portion for the chicken cutlet was HUGE. i definitely had some left over for lunch tomorrow. Not only was my portion huge, the chicken was cooked PERFECTLY. It was juicy and tender and there was just enough gravy on it for me. The bbq beef wasn't as tender as hoped, but it was still flavorful and very filling. They also give a side of teriyaki sauce and extra gravy for the chicken cutlet. L&L is definitely on the pricier side, but if you don't eat a lot, it's definitely enough for two meals!

Rude service! Cashier was not helpful and seemed like she didn't wake to be bothered and even inputted my order wrong.

My wife and I were looking for a good place to order in, but we wanted to try some thing off the beaten path. I had never had L & L, it seems like this might be a chain, but the pictures looked interesting and different. I got the barbecue plate, my wife got the Three's Company Combo, and we ordered spam musubi to split. The portions were very large, and all of the food was really tasty. I was very surprised by the spam musubi. It was the perfect handheld appetizer, and I dipped it in the barbecue sauce, which made it even better. All of the meats were cooked perfectly. They traveled pretty well also. I am not used to getting Hawaiian food delivered. I would say the one knock on L&L not being five star is the price. The combo plates are very expensive. A combination plate was $20. Now, the portion sizes are large enough that you can have some leftovers for lunch the next day, but I would have rather a more affordable combination plate.

That BBQ Beef sandwich is ridiculously good for 10buccz...Also the flavors the Chefs put on the burgers are superb. Glad I found them...
