“They are so caring to each animal they help and care for . Dora and my babies are in Dr.Rileys very kind and capable hands along with the awesome staff. They care for the animals parents and their babies above all. I love Marina Pet Hospital. Very Happy.”
“When I had my last cat that had cancer they were able to tell me exactly what was wrong with her before I had to put her to sleep at least I knew what was going on and that I could not save her. So I made her comfortable before putting her down. Now I have two new members of the family and they'll be going there as well and I just gave the information to one of my cousins so she could take her cat there as well they are the best in Monterey County personal opinion very professional”
“Brought a lost cat here to be scanned for a chip and the team was very efficient and professional. They scanned her while transferring her to their carrier, and they were able to get her owners contacted for a kitty pickup the same day! Was very relieved for this adorable stray. Well done SPCA!”
“I’ve been bringing my pup here for 7+ years. Dr. Rockwood is very kind, knowledgeable, and has always been spot on with my concerns over the years. The staff are lovely and treat us respectfully. I always know whoever helps us will be a pleasant and friendly experience. I brought my newly adopted cat as well and it’s nice having a separate side for the kitties.”
“Our ten year old dog Bella has had bladder cancer since January of this year. Between Monterey Animal Hospital and the Animal Cancer Center Bella has still has life.
HUGE thanks to Dr Mulder and the amazing Monterey Animal Hospital staff who are amazing.”
“My pup has been coming to the Animal Hospital of Salinas for years, and they always take amazing care of her. Everyone here is wonderful—from the front desk staff to the vet techs and, of course, Dr. Chan. They treat my pup with so much care, love, and affection, and I always feel confident she’s in great hands. Highly recommend!”
“My dog is getting older (over 13) and having more medical issues as he ages. Aguajito has been very helpful with diagnosing him, giving several recommendations, and helping me manage all his check ups. They helped clear up his paw and ear issues and coordinated with his other vet on his chronic rhinitis issues. Overall everyone at Aguajito has been very helpful through the whole, long process! Thank you Dr. Rubin and everyone who has helped my pup on his health journey!”
“Unfortunately the first time we ever went to this clinic we were met with bad news, informed our boy had cancer and it had spread into his lungs. We were absolutely devastated and heart broken. The team at this clinic was absolutely incredible and kind toward us, walking us through our options and then the process of having to say goodbye unexpectedly. They allowed us some time with him before we had to say goodbye and let us sit with him as long as we needed to grieve his loss. This group of women even went above and beyond and sent a personalized card in the mail sending their condolences ❤️ Our first interaction with Cottage Veterinary Care was unexpected and sad but I cannot thank them enough for the way they treated us and Bear during this difficult time. We will for sure be back with our other dog for his routine care during the rest of our time here in CA. (Photo added of our goodest boy in his last bit of time earth side ❤️)”
“The staff here are all so friendly and knowledgeable. Visiting here you face people that found their calling, so sympathetic towards pets and pet owners. Reasonably priced as well. I bring all my pets In need of care here.”
“Bottom line is, thier not a veterinarian office that's going to push needless things on you just to try to get your money. Glad to make them part of our family”
“I brought my cockatiel here the day after Thanksgiving after she suddenly became very sick. I called the Avian and Exotic Clinic hoping for a last minute emergency appointment, and they got us in right away.
The vet quickly diagnosed her with a bacterial infection. She received fluids for dehydration and was kept overnight in an incubator to keep her body temperature stable. When I picked her up the next day, she already looked so much better.
We were sent home with antibiotics, and within a two weeks she was back to her normal, healthy self. I’m incredibly grateful to the entire staff here, and the calls I received checking up on her progress. If it weren’t for them, I truly don’t think I would still have my little bird today. Thank you all so much!
If you are considering taking your bird anywhere I recommend here!”
“Brought a foster kitty here for the first time! What a nice place! I felt like she was in good hands and treated well during her surgery! Everything went well and she's home recovering nicely! Recommended for your veterinary needs!!”

“I’ve gone here in the past for my performance horse. But I recently had an emergency at the HS rodeo and Dr. Kayla showed up with her assistant. She was calm, patient, incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She also did a fantastic job suturing up my daughter’s horse. Highly recommend these folks!!!”
“My boyfriend and I were very interested in adopting a kitten and visited this shelter many times over 2 weeks. Each time we came to SPCA we had a great experience and everyone was very nice and helpful. We ended up finding a purrfect kitten and the whole adoption process was very smooth! Susana helped us and gave us all the information we needed about our new kitten! Thank you very much SPCA!”
“They saved my dog Mindy's life. That alone is invaluable to my family and I, and we will forever be in their debt, certainly worth more than just a five star review. These are the most intelligent, professional, and empathetic people I have ever met in my life, doing what I feel is one of the most intellectually and emotionally demanding jobs I know of (seeing animals in one of the most dire of situations).
My dog Mindy is a Sharpei mix, around 8 years old, and she was diagnosed with multicentric Lymphoma. For about a month, she grew tumors larger than the size of a tennis ball throughout her body and got to the point where our the vet was surprised that she was not experiencing more complications than she already was. We were recommended to various SAGE hospitals and this clinic by our local vet, this being the last place that was handwritten onto the page. Although smaller than the SAGE hospitals (I assume), they had the earliest availability (they give lymphoma patients priority due to the speed and nature of the illness) and the lowest cost (one of the SAGE hospitals required a deposit before even booking the appointment, this place obviously did not), and probably the best care, and I will be forever grateful that we chose them. After consultation, we opted for a 15 week CHOP (seemingly a medley of chemo chemicals) protocol (another route seemed to be a Tanovea drug 15 week protocol) which required us to drive about 3 hours each way every couple of weeks (there were no other veterinary oncologists for about a 3 hour radius from us in Fresno, CA) for around 9 visits total, averaging around 150 to 355 dollars per visit (somewhere in between $2000 to $2400 in total). Her tumors went away and she went into complete remission before the end of the treatment (though we completed the 15 week protocol and all visits regardless). Animals apparently don't tend to experience as many bad side effects to chemo treatments like humans do and this was our experience with Mindy as well. The average remission length is apparently around 6 months. If it comes back, there are follow up treatment plans available. We don't know how much time this has given to Mindy, but she started acting like her normal self, rather than the lethargic and likely pained version with tumors throughout her body. I don't regret a single thing and I would do it all over again if I had to.
I highly recommend them of course, feel free to ask any specifics of my experience, would be happy to answer.
Edit: She was in remission for roughly 3 months, then treatment again here for roughly 3 months, but sadly was put to sleep yesterday. These people gave me 9 extra months with the love of my life, Mindy and I will always be grateful to them. Please hug and kiss and tell your dog you love them so much right now for me.”

“This hospital has helped my cat a couple of times. Each time, they are considerate of my emotions and get my cat in as fast as they can. They also don’t try to do anything unnecessary in order to get more money. For example, this particular time, my cat had a string coming out of her rectum. The doctor saw her as quick as possible and then laid all the options out for me. They could do a costly X-ray, but since she wasn’t showing any other signs of sickness, it would be possible she might pass the string naturally. I went home and luckily my cat passed it the next day. They sent me home well equipped with signs to look for that the string might be life threatening. Good people at this place. The vet also remembered my cat from more than a year ago and seemed genuinely emotionally invested in the fur babies. Reception is also kind, as well as the nurses! I also suggest getting the banfield wellness plan. This visit was free because I had it.”
“The staff is AMAZING and the service is EXCELLENT! Taking my fur baby here has changed his life, he is very active again. He is only 7 years old and he was having mobility problems already. Once he started acupuncture his mobility improved drastically, the veterinary doctor is very knowledgeable. I'm so glad I found out about this place and I can not recommend it more to other pet parents. Thank you Natural Veterinary Clinic for helping my fur baby Sky!”
“Dr. Shannon and the entire team at Carmel Holistic Veterinary Clinic have been wonderful during the many years I've brought my 3 cats to them for wellness checks and when they started aging and incurring ailments. When 2 of my fur babies came to end of life, everyone was very compassionate. I'm grateful for the excellent veterinary care provided and the kindness in which it is given.”
“Had a pet emergency and they took me in. I did wait a while but they were just overloaded with emergencies that day. Overall they are attentive and happy to help diagnose your pet and recommendations were clear.”
“All together I am pleased with their care and service, though I find the charges for the health care rather hefty. A few issues are that the attitude at times is not quite friendly. I get the Doctors and their team are likely often busy and may have a lot going on. Yet, I believe genuine kindness and hearing some of the concerns addressed would as well be helpful.”

“We're horse trainers and we've used Steinbeck Country Equine for years. We find their veterinary care to be excellent and their prices to be comparable to other equine hospitals in the area. We highly recommend them.”

Review of Banfield Pet Hospital

Dr. Taylor Dickson
Wonderfully caring staff and doctor. We’re here from out of town. No one else except for the expensive ER hospital could see our dog. Banfield Pet Hospital allowed us to bring her right in. Dr. Dickson and the staff were able to help her right away! They were so kind, caring, and helpful and the fees were reasonable too! It was such a relief! Thank you to Dr. Dickson and the staff!”

“I adore Dr. Herrmann and her incredible staff!! She helped me ease thru having to put a previous pet to sleep and is my go-to for any issues with my pets. She won't give you any bs and shoots straight with where your pet's health is at. If you are expecting someone to just tell you what you want to hear or, like the previous reviewer, have some wildly entitled notion that you can stop the entire functioning of her ER vet services so that you can give her uneducated "guesses" as to what you think is going on based on some simple google searches ... yea, that previous reviewer clearly found out Dr. Herrmann does NOT suffer fools or foolishness. What she DOES do, and better than any other vet i've ever seen, is get your animal fixed up and on the mend. I'm sorry for my anger showing thru in this post about something someone else wrote, but Dr. Herrmann is a saint and cussing her out in German is not something i will allow to go unanswered”

“They provide top notch pet care but it's not cheap because this is an ER that's open 24/7/365. I've used their specialist vets and they're good at getting to the bottom of complex health issues. My only ding is they jack up the price 200-400% on labs over what you'd pay your vet. I'd still recommend them without hesitation.”
“Super nice and knowledgeable staff. I'm new to CA and had not established a vet yet, my two dogs needed seen and the staff there got us in the same day! Everyone was great and I will be using their services moving forward. Would give 10 stars if I could!”
