Out of all the accommodation I saw in Mariposa I really think this the best located as its basically in the centre of town but off the main road so you don't get the noise or traffic. The town itself is so cute and friendly, and River Rock Inn fits in perfectly with the quaint vibe. The beds and bedding were extremely comfortable and the room has everything you need in it including microwaves. Travelling as a family of 5 from Australia and not used to the cold we carry a lot of stuff with us and are often busy and disorganised, we didn't need our rooms made up or any assistance from anyone really so we enjoyed the privacy of this place. So glad I chose River Rock Inn as the base for our Yosemite experience!Walkability: Perfect location , tucked just off the main street.

Very convenient if you are road tripping to Yosemite national park. The room was nice, good size and the bed was comfortable. Everything was good and the price amazing. You can arrive late at night with no problem. And leave as early as you need. Right next to it there is a really cool cafe where all the cool people goes have breakfast. Didn't try it, because it was too cool for me, but looked like people really liked it.

Booked this motel last minute on a vacation since we decided we wanted to hike Yosemite national park. This motel checked all the boxes for us. This motel was very fairly priced, was very quiet at night, each room had a mini split for ac, and the shower was good. Would definitely recommend it.

The bathroom was so small it was like it was built in a closet, but the bedroom was big and spacious. It's an old hotel, oldest in the city I think. The manager is very nice and accommodating, but the check-in process was a little sketchy. I wish there was someone in the office 24/7 to help because a guest was trying to call and no one was answering. Her TV didn't work. Our a/c remote was missing. Overall the hotel is just ok, it's quaint, but needs to be refurbished.

This is a quaint little motel. We stayed in suite 1 and it was a very nice size. It is a very nice location within the historic town. The parking lot was a little tight if you have a larger vehicle. It is an hour from Yosemite, if you wanted to stay out of the traffic of the park. Overall, would stay at again.

This place is adorable! Very comfortable clean rooms, owners are fantastic, and the attached cafe has the best coffee in town! Cannot recommend highly enough.

we stay at this cute little place on Dec. 30,31st and enjoyed our stay in the cute town of Mariposa on the 31st we meet the own of River Rock at the bar she owns in town and she was such a pleasant sweet woman, she invited us to there New yrs. eve party. We went and had the time of our lives Stephanie and Keith are the owner of both of these places and they were so much fun.

11-12,13/2022 Cute clean room and just off main street. Easy walk to about everywhere. The bed is only a double bed so my wife and I were pretty cramped with our dog. There's no one property at night so if there's issues you have to call someone. The little breakfast area was closed both days we were there Sunday and Monday, so no breakfast or other foods. Barely enough hot water for one person to wash the soap out of your hair and the shower was very small. It's a cute place but needs maintenance.

I stayed one night & the check in was very convenient. Our key was left in the door along with our room number. The Inn is old & worn down. The shower seemed dirty & had some hair on the floor. The coffee shop is awesome for the morning! Overall a good stay just expensive for a one night.

If you are going to Yosemite and don't want to stay in the park this is the place. The rooms where nice with a comfortable bed. the ac works great too. Merriposa is a great little town and the history of the hotel was super cool.

Its a 1 star motel so you cant expect much... BUT they do miss some basic things, and need to correct these urgently, given the price you pay for it.Done well:1. Bed comfy2. Aircon works3. Good location4. Nice grounds/benchesDone poorly:1. Cockroaches in room, spiders+webs in 4 corners2. Door left open all day for "self checkin" so flies buzzing around. not sure why the door isnt just shut, or better yet just have a check in desk- theres only 8 rooms.3. No hot water4. Plumbing made an absolute racket in the night- I actually woke up thinking a pipe had burst in the bathroom. We paid just under £400 for 2 nights here which is EXTORTIONATE for what you get, which little little more comfort than a tent. Because of the location I understand the price is higher but you do need to provide the basics properly before you can charge this much.

"Ok" is what it says when you click on 3 stars on Yelp, and basically, "Ok" is what this place is. I can't tell if the $200 we spent a night is too much or just the cost of staying in a town near Yosemite in June (high season). Probably the latter and give them the benefit of the doubt. Regardless, the hotel feels a bit old and worn. It was clean enough though. The total saving grace is that the coffee shop right next door is amazing, so I'm putting in a 5 star review for them!
