We had a fantastic stay in Markleeville at the Creekside Lodge. The room we stayed in ( #10) had a king bed, little refrigerator, comfortable club chair with reading lamp, and a large window that we opened to listen to the creek at night. There's a vending area with microwave available also. Since we are usually camping instead of staying in a motel, we had food in an ice chest with us as well as our camp chairs so we sat out overlooking the creek to have breakfast and lunch. There's also a great restaurant right across the street serving very good food. It's quiet at night and away from the crowds. The room was very clean, and Todd, the manager, was a great communicator. Check in was easy. Highly recommend this motel.

Todd, the owner, is a great guy. Everything was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the only resteraunt in town was closed on a Wednesday and the store has bankers hours 11 to 5.

Todd has been very nice and helpful. Clean room and excellent restaurant across the street. Already booked our next visit later this year. Looking forward to staying again at Creekside Lodge.

One of the funnest overnight trips we have had. Wanted to get out of town and enjoy quiet, nature, hiking, and good food. Mission Accomplished! Todd, the innkeeper, was very accomodating. Staying at the Creekside Lodge was a very personable experience. We were assigned our room number in an email early in the day, and told the room was ready and the keys were in the room. Our room was very comfortable, and clean, and decorated in a fun ourdoorsy rustic decor. We walked across the street and had a fabulous dinner at Stonefly, which was very upbeat and busy on a Saturday night. The food and service were amazing. I highly recommend these accomodations for an overnight or weekend couples getaway, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed and outdoor experience.

Love it! People should know this is a motel - there aren't services here and since the town is a small country town without all the conveniences of a big city, you need to know that ahead of time and plan for it (check the store and restaurant days and hours - bring your own snacks).
But the place is amazing. I love that the rooms and bathrooms are squeaky clean, internet access and very friendly staff. Self-check-in is awesome since I can never get there until late.
2nd time I've stayed and will stay again - it's a hidden gem!

This is our 3rd time booking at Creekside for weekend ski trip and we love it, it’s clean, cozy, and the self check in and out is so convenient. The owner called us ahead of time to let us know about limited dining options during the MLK weekend and advised to make a reservation at Stonefly next door, and I’m glad we did. Would definitely come back again!

Loved this little place! It was very cutely decorated, and both the room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean, and i appreciated that they had a small hair dryer available for use. The ceramic piece of the handle in our shower was cracked and a bit wobbly, but it still worked fine so it was clearly just cosmetic. I 100% hope to be able to come back and stay here again!

The rooms are very nice, well lit, clean, excellent heaters, clean and well equipped bathrooms and the manager was very helpful. Its located right across the street from two very good restaurants, Stonefly for dinners, Upcountry Cafe for breakfast and lunch. One of the best places we have stayed in along the Sierra Nevada.
