Got the 2 pizza special. It was decent; a little soggy here and there under the crust. Cheese cake was a bit frozen. They close way too early!Parking: Parking is on the street, very narrow and limited.

Love the drive out to Markleeville for a sweet afternoon or evening at the Cutthroat. Have been several times for drinks, lunch, dinner and music on the back patio in the summer. Today we stopped by after snowshoeing and were pleased to find a Thursday bar and pizza special. The house chardonnay was quite yummy and the pizza options were creative and delicious as well. Friendly service and clean establishment.

Best Brussels sprouts ever! With mahi mahi, even better. House IPA is A-1 too! Friendly, efficient service.

Awesome food! The pretzel is really good! The tri-tip salad was delicious and generous on the meat too. Beer selection was a nice variety and the ambiance was perfect for a date night with the wife.

What a difference a change of ownership can do. I've been eating here for years and the food and service was always pretty good. The place changed ownership a couple of times and prior to the current owner the place went totally downhill. They even changed the name from the Cutthroat to the Wolf Creek Inn (or something like that) Then a couple of years ago they sold it and the new owners fixed everything that was wrong with the place. While staying next door at the Creekside Lodge the other night, my wife and I stopped by the Cutthroat and were very impressed with the food. Our server, I think her name was Laila, was friendly and on top of her game.

Food was marginal. Service was lacking. Overall ratings brought us in however if you have a opportunity to skip this place and make the next town I would recommend it.

Good food, good beer, friendly attentive staff. The Miner burger with the ghost pepper jack was excellent!

Fish tacos are the bomb and they make a great IPA to wash it down with.

This summer we had our wedding reception at the Cutthroat and it was the best decision we made!! The food was incredible and many of my guests told me it was the best wedding food they'd ever had! The service was absolutely amazing, even while they are dealing with low staffing, they did everything in their power to make sure we had the best wedding and my friends and family continually mentioned how friendly and kind everyone was. Travis the manager was so helpful during the planning process and made sure we were completely satisfied and happy all night long. And I can't forget to mention their amazing beer selection! My family and I camp at Grover Hot Springs State Park every summer and our favorite spot in Markleeville has always been Cutthroat. Now it has an even more special place in our hearts. If you're passing through or even remotely close to Markleeville you gotta stop in!
