“Awesome spot in the woods by Tomales. Gorgeous views of the bay, nice trails, great restaurant onsite, and really nice amenities on site (big fire pit for the evenings, sauna).
Usually we day trip up from the city for hanging in Tomales, but decided to try and overnighter and loved staying here, will definitely come back.”
“We stayed at the Inn for three nights in Sept 2025. The common areas of the inn, as well as the Ridge Room, are spacious, comfortable, clean, well-lit, and have beautiful views of the grounds. We spent early evenings on the deck or back patio of the main house, enjoying the views and peaceful surroundings. Frank is a delightful innkeeper/chef. We enjoyed our morning conversations with him and his breakfasts were incredible - delicious and hearty! We will definitely be back for another stay.”

“Me and wife were searching for a quiet staycation and we came across an article about Marin county. We were happy to choose Tomales Hotel as our stay since this was a good base to explore so many neighboring places - Dillon beach, scenic drive by the Tomales Bay with Tony's Seafood restaurant, Nick's Cove cafe and we also discovered some hidden beaches enroute. The town itself is so friendly with its General Store, Historic museum and a lovely Route 1 cafe that opens really early at 7.30am. Hotel was clean and welcoming with all the amenities including a shareable Microwave and a coffee/Tea machine. Definitely going to be back soon.”
“We absolutely LOVED our time at the yurt. It's very tucked away and private, but easy to get up and down the coast. The yurt was clean and cozy. We especially loved having some breakfast items to tide us over until we could go into town to get some more goodies. :)”

“We had a wonderful stay and can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The management team is outstanding — incredibly professional, responsive, and truly focused on making guests feel welcome and cared for.
The location couldn’t be better, and the rooms are luxurious with every comfort you could want. The beautiful lodge building and well-kept lawn make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery.
We also loved that the hotel is dog friendly! It’s great to see that pets are welcome while still keeping things respectful — all the dogs were well-behaved and on leash.
All in all, a fantastic experience and highly recommend!”

“What a rare gem! These types of small B&Bs are becoming harder to come by. I’m so glad we found Bob’s place for a weekend staycation in Tomales Bay. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a clear view of the bay. Breakfast was simple and delicious, and Bob was a very friendly and helpful host.”
