I've been getting all of my medical care from this location since 2013, and have had very good to excellent care and experiences. My only complaint is that they need better signs to direct people to the various named buildings, and to put a map on their website and apps to show people the layout and where each building and department is. I'm including a good photo of the map that is onsite that another reviewer posted.

Not too impressed with the optical department. Trying on glasses with a mask makes it very difficult to see if they actually look good. Being a medical facility means stringent mask policy and distancing. I was a bit surprised that my appointment didn't actually cover part of what I came in for "eyes"- same location but another appointment was needed. I was happy that they were able to add me and that was able to get the majority of my visit completed. However, if I already have an appointment, I expect the service provider to be close to my scheduled time.

My future employer scheduled a pre-employment exam and it was a mess from start to finish. Kaiser sent a number of emails about my appointment, which I was unable to read since I need a medical number in order to log-in. I tried calling to confirm if the email messages had urgent information or instructions, but the wait time for non-members was over 90 minutes, so I elected to just take a chance. My employer advised me to show up at least 15 minutes before my appointment to complete paperwork; however Kaiser's administrative staff didn't show up until after my appointment was scheduled making me miss my appointment window and causing further delays. To top it off, Kaiser's paperwork had conflicting information about what exams needed completed. A frustrating experience and reminder why I left Kaiser over 15 years ago.

Pay for insurance, this place only works by "appointments only" as if people can pick exactly when they're going to get sick. Just wanted someone to look at my daughters eye but no everything has be by a dumbass appointment. Someone just had to check her real quick 15 mins top but no that's to much to ask for despite paying for this useless ass insurance.

Something off with the Covid vaccine clinic. Buildings have names, but there is no signage guiding visitor to required site. Signs for flu clinic, but not Covid vax clinic. Despite having an appt for a Covid vaccine, I still was told I had to stand in line and wait. Given that this booster is for those of a certain age or health condition, one basically sees a lot of elderly folks standing in line. The meat counter at my local grocery does a better job...why not just give out a number? Kaiser management needs to think through the process.

This is a review of the campus. The doctors I've been to there are great, the services are great. But the campus, well it's a hot mess. If you don't go there very often, it is so hard to find your way around. Kaiser on their website has no site map that I could find and - and I looked for about an hour through various approaches. If it shows you the information on your appointment, there should also be a link right there to go to the site me up. Right there with appointments. Even when you look up campus info, there's no campus map. I tried to do a regular Google search to see if someone else had posted a map of the buildings, but I couldn't find anything. Or if they had a map of the campus it didn't show which building was which - which is the whole point! I know what the campus looks like, but if it says Hacienda building, I'm not sure which one that is and how to get there. And that's important because it's built on a hillside and is quite convoluted. And worse is it when they tell you to go to the Hacienda building and you drive up for the first time to the campus. The sign tells you go right for buildings ABC and left for XYZ. No names! And when you get up and see the building names, there's no lettervnext to them so there's no way of cross referencing which building is which letter. It's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. I have been there many times but only to go to the dermatologist and only to walk up from the parking garage. But when I was injured and I needed to go around to the back to get into the Bone density lab when I was on crutches, it was really hard to figure my way out around - and when I was done and tried to find my way out, from inside Hacienda, it was poor signage everywhere, insufficient windows so you couldn't get oriented to where you were and where the other buildings were and where the garage was. Kaiser fix this problem! You always talk about member satisfaction. Well I'm not satisfied with the signage at Martinez. Fix it!

The first receptionist that I checked in with was completely rude. I can't even believe that she would be working at a hospital. She is the first person you'll see sitting at the Ensenada 3rd floor desk right next to the elevator. People come to the hospital when they're sick and need help no to put up with you attitude. Luckily you were hiding your name tag otherwise I could have put you on here. I saw someone else took a pic of your associate and post her up, I should have done the same. The doctor who saw me rushed me out within a couple of minutes. Barely asked me anything and made her own assumptions of what was going on. I'm telling you exactly what's wrong. I'd like to put her name up but I'll leave it because you know who you are by looking at the location of the receptionist. I'm sure you're being paid more than well enough and thanks for not caring for people that make your check. The nurses were the only bright spot here. Thank you

Stay away from Doctor Pomar. I was doing a routine physical before leaving the country and he noticed my blood pressure was high. Told me it's normal and that one of his 18 year old patients has high blood pressure. Put me on the wrong medication. When I returned from my trip I was lucky enough to be working with a client who was a cardiologist. He asked me some questions about my health and asked me to demand urine tests. Well I did and then Dr Pomar said "I'm referring you to a kidney doctor for your kidney problem" yup, ended up being a major problem with my kidneys. Thank god for that client. Otherwise I could have died from a heart attack by now.

Why can't Kaiser get their act together? Is COVID their blanket excuse for everything? Here's a clue: Hire more employees!!! I came to get blood drawn the other day and apparently they are appointment only. Or else it was 2 hour wait! I made an appointment for 3 weeks later due to little availability of am appointments. I need a fasting blood draw so don't really want to starve myself all day. I arrived 5 min prior to my appointment and was told it will be a 45 minute wait for my blood draw! Really?!! What's the point of an appointment? I pay a high premium for my Kaiser coverage and both my wife and I (both healthcare workers) feel Kaiser is cheating it's members by not providing access to healthcare. Do any of you members agree? Post here and complain to member services. Got my COVID shot yesterday and had to drive to Modesto Kaiser to get it. I'm really disappointed and don't think we will renew our 25 year membership during next open enrollment period. Do the same and let Kaiser know this is simply not acceptable!

Thank you for our frontliners who tirelessly work to keep all of us healthy and safe! Very organized and clean facility. There was no line when we went at 6:10pm on a Monday. It's open 9am-7pm, M-sat. so it's a good idea to go towards closing time I guess.

Four stars for Kaiser Martinez for the smooth operation of their drive-thru flu clinic. I was impressed how smoothly things went, especially since it was their first day of the drive-thru clinic. I made an appointment on line for DH and myself a few days ahead of time. We had no trouble getting a time of our choice. Directional signage was helpful as we drove onto the Kaiser campus. Once we reached the designated parking lot, a sign notified us that the wait would be approximately 30 minutes. And it indeed took about that amount of time. Four lanes of traffic kept things from getting too bottle-necked. First a medical assistant came by and showed us a large laminated card with the questions the nurse would be asking us. When we reached the tented area, we handed over our Kaiser cards. We did not have to show our ID or even sign anything. (We were told to bring pens.) I am guessing that doing a verbal answer, rather than signing a form kept the line moving much faster! We were very glad to learn that they did indeed have the high-dose flu shots available. But I was left with the impression that they were in limited supply. (Missed out last year.) Both DH and I remarked that the injection was painless. Not always the case. The nurse was efficient and pleasant -- although I personally do not like being called "honey" and "dear." This is my personal PSA to get a flu shot this year. One less thing to worry about in this age of COVID-19. Go to Kaiser if you are a member. Or go to your medical provider or pharmacy. While flu shots may not be 100% effective, they can make a difference in the duration and severity of the flu if you are unfortunate enough to get it.

This review is for sleep lab at Kaiser Martinez . Myself and both of my daughters spent a night there for sleep apnea study. The staff is competent, friendly and accommodating , the facilities are clean and everything looks brand new. Dr Marcos , the chief of department is a caring, highly professional and amazing doctor. The facility is janky and I can see parking is tough. I had a bone scan and it was no problem! The staff from reception to tech were pleasant, cheerful and helpful. There are a lot of smiles and good mornings exchanged at this facility. Everything was on time. The cafe was AWFUL. Don't eat there. When I said, "hey, the coffee is lukewarm," there was no offer to make new coffee. I paid $2 for old lukewarm coffee. I'm spoiled by a much nice cafe at Walnut Cretk, Antioch, and even Fremont Kaiser.
