I went to the Petco vaccine clinic today. There was no separate room for vaccinations, just a table with a reusable towel. I brought my two pets for their FeLV and FeLV test. The two technicians did not wear gloves. When I asked them about it, they said they don’t use gloves. When they took the blood samples, they used their fingers to stop the bleeding, without washing their hands or using any sanitizer in between handling the two pets. They then proceeded to handle the next pet without changing gloves or cleaning their hands.
Is this the standard procedure at Petco vaccine center - VETCO?
Petco said they will reach out - but they never did

I adopted a dog after so 26 years without a pet. I needed advice and was treated very kind, and the salesperson was so helpful! Great experience.

They were schooling fish and I needed to buy 4!

Had a fun shopping trip with our new puppy. Store was clean with friendly staff. Store was a bit small but still had a self grooming area.

This place is great and everyone here is super informational! Special Shout out to BRE!!! She helped us set up our two new ball python thanks showed us some afresh things around the store and was able to reference to recourses from her personal collection of animal information! I LOVED THAT !!! I hope she decides to own her own Petco franchise one day!!

I like this Petco it's okay the way stocks things could be better. The way the display some of the nicer items I was better. People are nice. Except for the dog trainer I don't think he's very bright at all. Not at all. Other than that I like the place and they might have a different dog trainer by now

I don't usually write yelp reviews because I have better things to do with my time but I have had such disrespectful interactions with employee Ty that I felt compelled to review. I came in to the store a couple weeks ago with my 3 year old son (who is special needs) and my senior rescue dog who is partially blind and Ty asked me loudly and rudely if my dog was aggressive (he actually yelled from across the store) when my dog barked at him when he approached from his blind side. Then today I came into the store with my kids and dog, my kids were excited to buy Christmas presents for my dog. When I told my special needs son that he could only buy 1 stuffy for my dog he had a temper tantrum (very normal behavior for a 3 year old being told no) and Ty yelled at me from across the store to "get my kid off the floor". Typical entitled Californian behavior yelling at paying customers (we spent hundreds of dollars over the last 2 visits to this location) Not to mention my kids and I were respectful and put back the toys on the shelf that I said no to, they were not running around and being maniacs they were simply excitedly shopping for dog toys. Interestingly the female worker there with Ty today had no problem with my dog and greeted/petted him. Will definitely not be coming back to shop at this location due to Ty.

The Petco in Martinez is my favorite one in the area! Everyone who works there is so helpful and friendly. There is a great selection of products, which always pleasantly surprises me because the store is smaller than the nearby Concord Petco.
