So I've been having a hard time getting my new passport as I have a special case of providing my citizenship since i'm a derived-citizen. I've been to the Concord Post office about 5 times and none of the staff there were helpful at all! They kept requesting documents that I already had, and said my expired green card was invalid? But doing research I'm actually able to use my card as proof- Now we then went to the post office here in Martinez since it was closer, and the experience was so much different than in Concord. Staff was kind and helpful, they actually knew about my special case and knew the rules, saying indeed my documents were all validated. It was all done in less than 10min. ! The person who helped us was named Reya and she was the absolute sweetest. She pretty much guided us through the entire process, so it was wonderful experience.

I have always found the staff to be very helpful. Between tracking down missing parcels, to processing passports for my children they really make my life easier. I LOVE my carrier. He is so friendly. I see him around town and he always waves. The logistics of moving parcels around the world is mind boggling. I was a casual carrier in the early 2000s in Lafayette CA. This gave ma an appreciation for how hard this job is. The first delivery on my own after training I walked up to a house with a white Pickett fence and two Dalmatians in the yard. As I went to deliver the mail one of them jumped up and bit my arm over the fence. This is not an easy job.

This is a very unethical US post office. Yolanda, a mail carrier who delivers mail to our address, forged my signature on a certified mail letter. In addition to forgery and fraud, this is considered identity theft. Yolanda then entered untruthful delivery information into the USPS mail system, and this dishonest information now appears if you request tracking information on the certified letter. I've spoken to Isaac Arriaga Torres in this office, and he will not correct this as he had indicated he would, and he has not followed-up as he indicated he would.I called the USPS again, and a female from this office left me an inaudible voicemail message. I've telephoned this post office back several times, and they will not answer the telephone. And then Michele Garcia from this branch telephoned in response to to another telephone call to the USPS. She was unwilling to do anything to help me correct this situation. To be clear, mail carrier Yolanda forged my signature, stole my identity, and entered untruthful information as respects USPS delivery. These are serious crimes, and this post office is dismissing them. Also, now that I know what I know, I believe Yolanda is responsible for committing these same crimes on at least two other occasions.

Went in on Saturday for a walk-in passport application for my two kids. I arrived a bit early before they opened at 10 am because I wanted to make sure I could be seen first. I panicked for a bit because I noticed the window doesn't have the walk-in times posted, so I was worried we'd get turned away. They opened on time and I was seen right away by Lynnette. There was only one other person in line for passports. We had all our documents and checks ready. We were out by 10:15. This was a completely different experience than what I read in the reviews here, so I felt like I needed to write this review. Thanks, Lynnette!

Came here for all the family passports renewal process using Expedited State Dept processing. A scheduled appointment as per the USPS website. We arrived 20 minutes early and asked if we could start the process early, we were told that we had to wait our turn for our appointment. Even though there was nobody in the post office except for the three workers. So we stood and waited for 15 minutes. Then the lady (no name tag visible) who was doing nothing else finally called us up to the counter (2 minutes later than our scheduled time). The whole time she displayed an attitude (never smiled) that she did not want to do her job and that we were just a big inconvenience to her.

worst post office possibly in the whole state. the workers are entitled brats with attitude. we’ve had multiple packages and mail gone missing, and even had cash stolen out of our cards being mailed. avoid this place at all costs and please for the love of god USPS get some better workers at this location that are competent

Worse service ever. Girls at counter act like they are just there to collect a pay check and they don’t need to work. Ignored my questions. Acted like two bratty teenagers. Incredible

I’m tired of never receiving my mail. So many cards, letters, packages, etc. that straight up never arrived. The Martinez post office is perhaps the worst in the entire country.

I just went there to get questions answered and shipping cost and the clerk was rude. She acted like I was pestering her. I'll never go here again.

I only needed to drop off a package but I saw all the drama unfold. They had a line of 15 people who'd been waiting to get their passports. The woman who was processing passports took a 1.75hr lunch and didn't tell anyone what was going on, no one knew where she was. When she came back at12:30 (they close at 1pm) she said she would only help 2 people. Everyone was super angry and yelling because there was no communication and they'd been waiting 4 hours. Then the supervisor said she would help speed up the process by helping get applications together but she couldn't process because she wasn't certified. Everyone thought this meant that they'd be able to get more people through but 10 till the passport woman said 'nope these 2nd people are the last people', the supervisor and everyone else in line was begging to at least help the 3rd person who'd been waiting there with a newborn who'd been crying the past 2 hours. The woman refused. If you can avoid coming here, you should. And if you're waiting more than 20 mins for anything you should just leave.

**AVOID THIS LOCATION**No one here treats you like a human being. They have Saturday walk-ins for passports from 10am-1pm and only one agent to process applications. This person walks away without letting us know where she's going. We (the people in line) learn that this one person takes their 1hr lunch from 11:25am-12:40pm... mind you, we needed the customers to call the manager to call this person to return from her lunch because it's been over an hour. No one here has the decency to communicate or acknowledge you. This agent couldn't even look at me in the face to tell me, she announces to the whole lobby she's done for the day. Just be courteous, let people know if they are waiting in line for no reason, let us go, instead of waiting until 1pm to turn us all away. I should have been next, but was turned away at 12:58pm. I asked to file a formal complaint to make suggestions to make this process more efficient. Their response was, "you can't make a formal complaint "which is literal nonsense! Might as well not even offer walk-ins if you're just going to take your break for the chunk of it. This place is a joke!
