Guys were rude. We got there before their closing time and they said they close at 6. It was 5:40 when they turned me away. Needed to get my tire fixed to head back to Pomona with my two girls. You should never turn away business just to go home early in your type of business….mensos

I got here at 5:40 to see if I could get a tire fixed and the guy told me they were closed when it clearly says they close at 7. The guy says they close at 6 but we still had 20 minutes for them to help us but they refused.

Blew out a tire on the freeway in a school bus. For $150 they had me in and out in less than 30min on a Sunday evening.

Business travel, blowouts, economic development, and unexpected blessings in McFarland.
Today was supposed to be a simple out-of-town meeting. Just a quick drive from Bakersfield, California to McFarland—yes, that McFarland, USA (cue fast runners & Kevin Costner). I was five minutes away from my lunch meeting when I heard that sound: full tire blowout. Highway 99 style.
I safely pulled off, found some shade under a tree, and assessed the situation: shredded tire, dusty shoulder, and just minutes until showtime.
So, what do you do when you’re stranded 2.5 miles from your destination?
1. Call a friend—who immediately left the luncheon to come pick me up (Teamwork: 1, Flat tire: 0).
2. Call my husband—who changed out of his work attire into jeans and drove 45 minutes to rescue me (Chivalry is alive and well).
3. Watch as his car picks up a nail in the tire just for good measure. Because why not?
The two of us limped over to the McFarland Tire Shop (literally the name), where we met Emmanuel and Jose—two local legends—who not only fixed both tires but shared a much-needed laugh in the process.
The story ends with me catching the back half of the meeting and my husband heading home, both of us with repaired tires—and some new friends in McFarland.
The day didn’t go as expected but got a great laugh and in great spirits.
A little grit, a lot of kindness, and just enough air in the tires—sometimes that’s all it takes to keep moving forward.
Pro tip: If you’re ever in the area and need help, ask for Emmanuel and Jose. Good people still exist—and apparently, they also run great tire shops- queue a 5 ⭐ Google

We rolled up with a flat tire off the 99 trying to get home. They found us a used tire for $35, changed it, and had us out of there in 10 minutes.

Popped a tire, they fixed it and had us on our way in less time than it took to get off of hold with Costco’s tire center.
Fast, friendly, easy, and no price gauging. Couldn’t ask for more.
Thank you!

Got a flat tire on a 114ºF day during July 4 weekend while coming back from the parks on rte 65. Most shops were closed while calling around but Mcfarland Tire called me back(!!) after seeing my missed call. I was so thankful for his kindness and consideration. The crew immediately saw us, diagnosed issue and repaired all under 15 mins. Really saved the day for us and got us back on the road. Thanks so much!!
