Max had a wonderful time. He felt like part of the family. At Last has a beautiful, super dog friendly property and he spent his days in the yard and the nights by a wood fire stove. This is such a better place for him to stay than any kennel. Plus, we got daily updates on how he was doing. Thank you, so much.

We had an amazing experience with At Last Farm and I am whole heartedly recommending it. It's a safe and professional place for dogs. The dogs have lots of space to roam freely, everything is safe and double fenced and they are being supervised all day. Since it was our first time boarding our dog Frank I was quite nervous. Ann was great! She took the time to sit down with us so that Frank could familiarize himself with the new environment and the other dogs and so that we could get a better feeling too, before leaving him with her.Ann is very experienced and you can feel that the dogs well being is her highest priority. The way they followed and listened to her it felt like the dogs there all belonged to her.I believe that more generic boarding places will always tell you that your dog is fine, so that you will bring them back. But for some dogs places like that are just highly stressful. I was worried about that, so I highly appreciated that Ann was honest about how Frank was doing during his first boarding experience.Ann is a genuine and wonderful, dog loving person and I would board Frank again with her without any hesitation. Thanks again, Ann!

I do NOT recommend this place! The owner, Ann, was quite rude and insulting. She also made things up and accused me of "having amnesia and not doing my job." Over the phone she told me it was $35 a day; yet, when I picked up my dog she claimed it was $50 and she would only take cash. No where on her website or paperwork did it state a price nor did it say we needed to pay in cash. She aggressively insisted that she had told me multiple times and that it was on the website. Yet I searched all of our correspondence, the website, and the intake form, nowhere was any of this supposed information stated. Yet she kept accusing me of not reading, being responsible, or "doing my job." In addition, she advertised her place as "7 acres of farm land among the redwoods and meadows that dogs can roam and play in." She posted pictures online with dogs in grass. But that was NOT the case. The dogs were confined to a rectangular (probably 30' x 20') space with NO grass. It was all rocks, big rocks, not soft pebbles for the pups to play in but the kind of rocks you would NEVER EVER walk barefoot on. When we picked up our dogs they raced out and the very, very first thing they did (within 30 seconds) was go poo. That tells me that they were never let out or exercised all day. There were a few toys but they were in a deep bucket that she did not want them playing with. When I brought my perfectly well behaved and trained golden Retriever, she scolded me and said that I needed to keep him from jumping on her. He NEVER jumped on her or me or anyone. Likewise, she did not want to take my friend's dog, an 15 lbs chihuahua. I'm not sure the owner even likes dogs. She clearly does not like people. In addition, we needed to pick up our dogs by 5pm - that seems very early and it was quite an inconvenience. I would expect a service to be open until at least 6 or 7 pm. My interaction with her was the worst part of the day and soured much of the day's experience in beautiful Mendocino. How unfortunate.

Rude and extremely unprofessional!

I felt I needed to write a review after my short conversation with Anne, the owner. I didn't end up using her services as she refused to take him due to her "20 years of experience" that she can't take senior dogs. I have a sweet, healthy 14 year old dog with no health concerns and yet, he was refused due to his advanced age. I now read other reviews here that said that she doesn't take puppies either. I guess if you have a dog that is not a puppy and is not a senior, it might be a perfect match. Needless to say, I am not impressed by her 20 years of experience.

First, I did not use Anne's service because I was honest with her about my dog's anxiety issues and she felt my dog's behavior would upset the other dogs. I know she was right. However, from my 10 minute conversation with her, I found her to be highly conscientious about the physical and emotional needs of all the dogs after 20 years of experience in working with them. I would trust her completely with my dog after that brief conversation

There is no better place to board your dog and no more caring person than Ann Kanitz. Its like a Utopia for dogs. The property is double fenced and they have the freedom to explore.

At Last Farm did not work out for my young lab. This place might be alright for older dogs who love to sleep all day. It would have been nice if the owner let us know that she can't handle puppies so we could have avoided all her shaming (verbal, email and even a hand written letter).

Ann, the owner, is a valuable asset to our community. She has 7 acres for our beloved pet dogs to play on. My sweet Australian Terrier, Ziggy, loves going there. She stays out all day with the dogs while they play. Everything is double gated to prevent accidental escapes. I highly recommend.

Ann has a fantastic, safe place for dogs to visit and spend the day at. I absolutely wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to a friend.

Unprofessional staff and rude service speaks to the treatment of the pets here. The staff lacks patience and care! I wonder what is required to open a doggie day camp and whether or not these places are monitored and regulated as it seems this one has slipped under the radar.

I didn't end up taking my dog here after reserving weeks ahead of time because the owner was so unfriendly, unprofessional and rude through email communications. I was truly in need of help and care for my pup while I was going to be in a conference and the night before the owner shamed me for asking to drop the pup 15 min sooner than planned. I was so disappointed and untrusting I decided to cancel and not trust this person with my dog and had to skip portions of the conference. I can't understand why someone who decides to create a business to help people by taking care of their dogs would be so rude, unkind, and unaccommodating. I do not recommend.

We were so fortunate to find At Last Farm and Ann while vacationing in Mendocino. Our old gal, Hannah, is 10 and recently had hip surgery. While she has recovered we are being very careful with her car. A visit to Ann's Farm was just what we needed to free us up to explore Anderson Valley wineries and leave her behind. The farm has a double fenced enclosure, ample water and shade, compatible doggie friends and the kindest and more sincere care we could have hoped for. I wish we had such a facility in NC near our home. I cannot recommend this place and Ann more!!

A wonderful dog resort that radiates love, positivity, and safety. Ann runs a lovely business that provides a safe, unique, and fun space for dogs to play, relax, and rest. Gus, our 2 year old Goldendoodle loved his stay at At Last Dog Camp & Boarding.
